Now reading: Chapter 51: You’re Sick in the Head from Today, I Have Yet to Become a Doll, a Romance novel by Hua Hua Liao.

“The current game failed, with 5 players surviving. Now entering the ninth round, ‘The Frog’s Golden Ball’. Players, please get ready. The one-minute countdown begins, 59, 5…”

Everyone looked at Bai Youwei.

Under the pressure of everyone’s gaze, Bai Youwei raised her head. She was neither guilty nor ashamed, her frankness carrying a hint of arrogance. “Turn the snail next to Teacher Cheng upside down.”

Tan Xiao was stunned. “…Just, that simple?”

“Yes, it’s that simple.” Bai Youwei glanced at him sarcastically. “Calculating the necessary points in the sphere’s trajectory from one hundred and sixty-three snails, how e none of you can figure out something so simple?”

Tan Xiao tugged at the corner of his mouth awkwardly.

What trajectory, what necessary points, he was a little confused.

Teacher Cheng suddenly realized, “So that’s it! The sphere bounces too many times, so the calculation for the landing point is too large, but the necessary points can be calculated!”

Tan Xiao said excitedly, “Old man! You know how to calculate it?”

Cheng Wencai covered his lips and coughed. “Ahem, I teach Chinese…”

Tan Xiao: “…”

Monkey walked up to the snail, his face still wearing that unnatural smile, his eyes frighteningly bright.

“Let’s try it.” He impatiently reached out and grabbed the snail.

Tan Xiao hesitated for a moment, then went over to help with a constipated look on his face.

It was difficult to push a snail stuck in the mud, but if they just had to turn it upside down, it wouldn’t be too troublesome if they worked together.

Shen Mo looked down at Bai Youwei beside him and asked, “How sure are you?”

Bai Youwei didn’t look at him, her eyes fixed on Tan Xiao and Monkey in front of her, her tone emotionless. “Seventy to eighty percent.”

Shen Mo felt a pang in his chest.

He stewed for a moment and warned her, “Don’t do that again.”

Bai Youwei raised her eyebrows at him. “Don’t do what?”

Shen Mo: “…”

He found that her rebelliousness had surfaced again. Not only was she rebellious, but she was also particularly stubborn.

“It’s not worth risking your life for those kinds of people,” Shen Mo said in a deep voice.

Bai Youwei curled her lips into a silent smile. “The one who risked their life wasn’t me, it was Zhang Hua. You’re protecting me, Tan Xiao is looking after Teacher Cheng, those two thugs seem like brothers, but in reality, they’re both driven by profit and could turn on each other at any time. Zhang Hua saw this, so he kept an eye on them, thinking that at least one of them would die to feed the frog. Unfortunately, he encountered an invigilator who changed the rules at will, tadpoles for frogs, Zhang Hua died too early.”

Shen Mo felt a headache ing on, his brows furrowing even more. “If the rules hadn’t changed, you wouldn’t have told them how to pass, would you?”

“Yes.” Bai Youwei nodded calmly, her face indifferent. “I have no interest in being a savior. Besides, this game has been trying to find ways to kill people. If I save them, I’m openly opposing the game. What good would that do me?”

Shen Mo’s heart burned with anger, but he held back his words.

Bai Youwei looked up at him, a provocative sneer on her lips. “What’s wrong? Do you think I’m selfish, or do you think I’m vicious? Shen Mo, let me teach you something—poverty makes people humble, suffering makes people mean, and I, a rich young lady who just happened to suffer misfortune, am not only mean but also cold-blooded. My greatest pleasure is seeing others more unfortunate than me! Do you understand?”

Shen Mo took a deep breath. “I understand.”

After a pause, he said, “You’re sick in the head.”

Bai Youwei was stunned, her expression changing instantly. “You’re scolding me?!”

Shen Mo thought to himself, scolding you is putting it lightly. If you were under me, I wouldn’t hesitate to give you a beating.

But the golden ball’s countdown interrupted their conversation—

“…3…2…1, game, start!”

Boom!
