Byakuya returned to campus after a long absence, bringing Rize directly into the school.
Though he was now CCG's most famous and strongest investigator internally, few people outside CCG would recognize him.
So as he and Rize walked around campus, aside from their good looks attracting attention, they didn't draw excessive notice.
However, if the na "Amaha Byakuya" were ntioned, quite a few students would actually know of him.
After all, the school had produced such a celebrity. The recent "One-Eyed Owl Suppression Operation" had caused an enormous commotion.
Kamii University was located right in Ward 20. Students had all been evacuated to shelters early, so everyone knew about this unprecedented battle between humans and ghouls.
Byakuya had been the one with the greatest rit. A bit of dia coverage and many people learned about him.
"I'm actually a bit surprised you'd want to experience student life more deeply."
Byakuya remarked.
"It's because staying ho every day is too boring, and you have less and less ti to spend with ."
Rize said.
Being interested in student life was one thing; wanting Byakuya to accompany her on an outing was another.
"Alright, seems like that's my fault. I should spend more ti taking you out."
Byakuya said.
Afterward, he first took Rize to the cafeteria.
"Most students eat breakfast in the cafeteria before morning classes start, or maybe they've already eaten at ho. I'm just bringing you here to experience it—you don't have to actually eat."
Byakuya said.
Since Rize wanted a deeper experience, he planned to give her an imrsive university life experience.
He ordered two breakfasts in the cafeteria, sitting like other students to eat.
But Rize couldn't eat breakfast. Byakuya wasn't going to make her "fake eating" either—experience was experience, but there was no need to force herself.
At this point, Rize seed about to try a bite.
She knew it definitely wouldn't taste good—she just wanted to try a little for the experience.
"As expected, absolutely disgusting. Here, you eat it."
Rize bit into it but couldn't bite off a piece. Tasting it, she gave up imdiately and handed it to Byakuya.
Byakuya naturally didn't mind sothing Rize had bitten—he took it and ate it directly.
So in the end, both breakfasts were finished by him alone.
"Next should be going to class. But I don't know the current schedule. I'll just take you to the classroom where I used to have classes."
Byakuya said.
No matter how good his mory was, he couldn't rember a schedule he'd never seen.
It had been so long since he'd gone on leave that the schedule had long since changed.
"You're not that busy at CCG anymore, right? Aren't you coming back to continue your studies?"
Rize asked casually about Byakuya's situation.
"Mm... I have been on leave for quite a while. I should probably communicate with the school today and see when I can resu my studies."
Byakuya said.
It wasn't that he absolutely needed a diploma from here. He'd actually almost forgotten he was still technically a Kamii University student until Rize ntioned her interest in the school.
If Rize actually enrolled here, and Touka was apparently trying to get into this university too, then coming back to study might actually be nice.
Afterward, Byakuya and Rize arrived at a classroom.
There were still twenty minutes until the first morning class, but most students were already there.
And Byakuya noticed these were his original classmates—lucky timing to run into them.
"Hm? That person..."
When Byakuya entered the classroom with Rize, a classmate imdiately noticed him. He looked very familiar but couldn't imdiately place him.
"Isn't that Amaha? He's actually back?!"
"I recall he went to CCG to fight ghouls. During that 'Owl Suppression' thing he supposedly made huge contributions. Didn't expect him to co back..."
"And he brought a really pretty girl back. She doesn't look like one of our classmates, does she?"
"..."
More and more classmates noticed Byakuya.
When Byakuya found random seats for himself and Rize, several classmates imdiately gathered around.
"Amaha, are you coming back to continue studying?"
Facing this question, Byakuya shook his head slightly.
"No, I'm just visiting. But I'm technically on leave, so I'll eventually co back to continue my studies."
Byakuya replied.
"I see. We thought you'd be too busy at CCG. Still found ti to visit school."
"You might not know this, Amaha, but you're a big celebrity here now. Rumors say you're CCG's strongest investigator—is that true or false?"
"Is this young lady a student here? Or Amaha's colleague at CCG?"
Since Byakuya had been away so long, and there were many rumors about him, classmates enthusiastically asked him many questions—so many he couldn't keep up.
Among them, several female classmates subtly showed interest in him. His appearance was already excellent, and he was CCG's strongest investigator. Most students, male or female, didn't consider whether being an investigator was dangerous—"cool" was all that mattered.
