It seems I need to go to the counter and ask about this.

After so thought, Qin Mu decided to take an hour off. He left the nursing ho and headed to a nearby bank branch. The nursing ho was located in the city center, conveniently near a branch of that particular bank.

「...」

Ten minutes later, Qin Mu entered the bank lobby. Following the lobby manager’s directions, he took a number and queued. There weren’t many people conducting transactions at that ti. After a ten-minute wait, his number was called.

Qin Mu stepped forward and explained to the staff mber, "Hello, I want to transfer money from this account, but for so reason, it keeps showing an error."

The counter staff mber glanced at him, then deftly pulled out a form and handed it to him.

"The sample is on the side. Please fill it out according to the standard."

Qin Mu took the form. He picked up a pen and began to fill it out.

The form was targeted at users experiencing transfer issues with their accounts. It required him to provide his bank card number and explain the situation for an authorization inquiry.

It seed he wasn’t the only one experiencing transfer issues.

"Done."

It took him three minutes to complete the form, which he then handed back to the staff mber.

After confirming the form was correct, the staff mber didn’t process the transfer; instead, they handed him an appointnt slip.

"Sorry, but this service requires a three-day advance reservation. Please make an appointnt and co back in three days to process it," the staff mber said.

Qin Mu frowned. Sothing felt off, but he couldn’t quite pinpoint it. He couldn’t help but ask, "Can’t it be processed today?"

The staff mber replied indifferently, "Sorry, that’s the bank’s policy. Users with transfer errors need to make an appointnt in advance. We have to register it in our system before we can process it."

Since the staff mber had said as much, Qin Mu could only fill out the appointnt slip and leave the bank.

These rigid bank policies... they weren’t sothing junior employees like this had the power to change.

Upon returning to the nursing ho, he tried several more tis, only to find he still couldn’t transfer the money.

Yet, the status of his account showed no issues. His 44,000,000 had suddenly beco just unusable numbers on paper!

With no other choice, he had to wait patiently for three days.

「...」

Three days later, Qin Mu found so ti and went back to the bank. He took a number.

This ti, a different staff mber attended to him.

"I already made an appointnt." Qin Mu, worried about having to fill out those forms again, spoke up first.

"You’ve already made an appointnt?" This staff mber seed surprised but still pulled out five forms and handed them to Qin Mu. "There’s a sample on the side; fill it out accordingly."

Their attitude was indifferent.

Qin Mu didn’t dwell on it, took the five forms, and started filling them out.

The first three forms were fairly standard, mainly bank agreents and the like. According to his knowledge of the ’Banking Law,’ they were all compliant and legal.

But the content of the fourth and fifth forms... was starting to beco outrageous.

The fourth form required him to provide a series of other docunts to prove he was himself.

That’s right. Even his ID card and a facial comparison weren’t enough; he also needed his household registration book, social security card, driver’s license, passport, and a series of other supporting docunts to prove he was, in fact, himself!

The fifth form, on the other hand, required him to provide the source of the funds in his account, detailed information on transfers in and out, the purpose of the withdrawal, and so on.

In the ’purpose of withdrawal’ section, he needed to detail the specific reasons and intended use.

"Aren’t these two forms a bit problematic?" Qin Mu frowned and looked at the bank staff mber.

To use his own money, he had to find ways to prove he was himself and explain how he intended to use it. These days, even an ID card couldn’t prove he was himself!

The staff mber smiled faintly and explained, "Sir, there’s no problem. For clients with large deposits, we simply require a bit more docuntation."

Qin Mu took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. This was their turf; if he wanted to transfer the money out, he had to play by their rules.

Besides, the requirents of these two forms weren’t illegal; they were within legal bounds. As a financial institution, the bank had the right to monitor and be responsible for the funds it held.

He then suppressed his dissatisfaction with the bank and completed all five forms.

The staff mber checked the five forms again, focusing on the fourth and fifth. Then, they pointed out the issues: "This form needs to be accompanied by photocopies of the relevant docunts: your household registration book, social security card, driver’s license, and so on."

"Also, regarding the purpose of the funds, you’ve only written that you want to repay a loan. However, you haven’t specified to whom you’re repaying it. The recipient’s identity information, the reason for repaynt, and the details of the original transaction—all of these need to be clearly stated."

Upon hearing this, Qin Mu’s expression darkened. These demands were getting more and more excessive. According to the bank’s regulations, he now needed to provide Qing Lan’s personal information, the details of their transactions—everything! If he didn’t provide it, he couldn’t prove the loan agreent between them.

"Last month, soone lent 6,000,000. You should be able to find that in the back-end transaction logs, right?" he questioned sharply.

The bank staff mber nodded. "Yes, there is indeed a record of this large transfer in the transaction logs. However, we need you to provide detailed proof so we can monitor the security of the funds being transferred in and out."

Listening to this, Qin Mu laughed again, this ti in exasperation. "So now, when I want to withdraw money, you need to monitor its security? When I deposited the money into your bank in the first place, why didn’t you scrutinize then?"
