Zhang Wei, who was beside him, nodded. "While ’creating disturbances’ can be a catch-all charge, it primarily targets behavior demonstrating contempt for state laws and social morals," he said. "Their group’s actions didn’t show contempt for any major state laws, nor did they violate social morals."
Zhang Wei’s explanation of the law resonated deeply with Qin Mu. He had pondered the issue for a long ti and reached much the sa conclusion: the best solution now was to wait for security to arrive and expel Jiang Daping and his three companions.
"So if this is useless, and that’s useless, doesn’t it an they just get off scot-free?" Wang Dachui’s face turned grim upon hearing this, full of indignation.
His understanding of criminal law was limited, and he knew even less about probation. But from what Zhang Wei had said... it seed there really wasn’t much of a solution. Offenses against public security managent were only illegal acts, at most resulting in fines and detention. But to revoke probation... that required the accumulation of three such acts.
anwhile, the nursing ho security, having received the notice, had arrived at the banquet hall and were heading towards the stage. They were currently advising Jiang Daping and his three companions.
Suddenly, the corners of Qin Mu’s mouth curled up. "There is still a way to ensure they receive the punishnt they deserve," he said slowly.
Wang Dachui hurriedly turned his head and asked, "Is there really a way? Didn’t you say it doesn’t even count as a minor cri?"
Qin Mu nodded. "Indeed, it doesn’t count as a minor cri, but their behavior... can constitute a serious violation of the law."
He had just invoked the "Eidetic mory" skill, reviewing all the criminal law articles in his mind. Finally, in the provisions related to probation, he found a thod.
"Serious violation of the law?" Wang Dachui was stunned for a mont, while Zhang Wei’s eyes lit up with sudden understanding.
Qin Mu smiled and explained, "Illegal acts are generally divided into two categories. The first is ’ordinary illegal acts,’ which refers to acts that break common laws and regulations, like running a red light or verbally insulting soone. The second is ’serious violations of the law,’ which refers to acts that violate criminal law provisions and endanger social relationships protected by the law. And serious violations of the law also include two types: criminal acts and criminal acts with significantly minor circumstances."
At this point, Qin Mu paused for a mont, waiting for Wang Dachui to catch on.
But Wang Dachui was still baffled. This was a concept he had encountered while studying criminal law on his own. Based on the type of violation, illegal acts could be divided into criminal, administrative, civil, and economic violations, among others. And based on severity, they could be divided into ordinary and serious violations. But... he had racked his brains and still couldn’t see what it had to do with Jiang Daping and his associates.
Qin Mu continued, "The provisions for revoking probation specifically define three circumstances under which it should be revoked and the original sentence reimplented: committing a new cri during the probation period, accumulating three or more instances of illegal acts, and... committing a serious violation of the law."
This revocation provision was rather obscure. It rarely caught people’s attention, but it was indeed written into criminal law.
And the behavior of Jiang Daping and his companions... Given their special status and the notably minor circumstances, it didn’t constitute ’creating disturbances,’ yet it *did* constitute a serious violation of the law! Just one such instance... was enough to revoke their probation and reimpose a custodial sentence.
"That’s possible?" Wang Dachui’s eyes widened after hearing the explanation, an expression of utter astonishnt on his face. His gaze towards Qin Mu now carried a hint of fear.
This was simply too terrifying. He had thought long and hard but hadn’t co up with any good solution, yet Qin Mu had resolved it so effortlessly.
Qin Mu smiled faintly. "The people from the Judicial Office are at the nursing ho. I’ll go find them." He then stood up and left the banquet hall.
This ti, Jiang Daping and his fellow volunteers were required to perform four hours of community service at the nursing ho. The staff from the Judicial Office had been resting there all along.
