Mason Nightshade had returned at this mont.
He wiped the chopsticks with a napkin and handed them to Aurelia Shaw.
Aurelia was stunned.
She knew Mason had a cleanliness obsession; when eating out, especially in such small eateries, the utensils had to be cleaned and wiped.
She initially thought he was wiping them for himself, but unexpectedly, it was for her.
This cold and hot attitude...
Aurelia found it amusing.
She took the chopsticks.
"Thank you," she said.
After a pause, Aurelia added, "Are we discussing after eating, or are we discussing while eating?"
Hmm... She guessed he would definitely choose the latter.
After wiping his chopsticks, Mason said, "Discuss while eating."
Mason wasn’t very bound by rules, perhaps because his parents weren’t around when he was young.
So they ate while talking.
Aurelia picked up a mouthful of noodles, ate with a "slurp," and let out a low moan.
It had been so long since she’d had noodles this delicious.
"Why does it taste just like the one near the school gate?" Aurelia mumbled in confusion.
Mason said, "It’s the sa one."
"Huh?" Aurelia looked up.
Mason repeated, "It’s the one that used to be in front of your school; they’ve moved here and opened a new store."
"I see." Aurelia nodded, then furrowed her brow, "But I saw the owner earlier, and it wasn’t the sa as before."
"The previous owner passed away, and his son took over the store. His skills aren’t bad, didn’t let people down too much," Mason said.
Aurelia curiously asked, "How do you know? Did you..."
Aurelia suddenly rembered.
Mason indeed had eaten there once.
She had a deep impression of this place, not only because the food was delicious, but also because...
It was after she had a crush on Mason; she secretly followed him into this restaurant, sat in a corner, ordered a bowl of noodles, while watching him, trying to figure out how to win this man over.
Hmm, the older version of her was indeed a bit daring and even a bit... shaless.
Mason looked at her.
She was there because she followed him.
He, on the other hand... often saw her coming into this restaurant, and that day he wanted to try how good the food was, ordered a bowl of noodles, only to find the girl was following him from behind.
Those tis were truly nostalgic.
But now, Mason treasures them more.
"Do you think you’re the only one who followed ?" Mason suddenly spoke.
Aurelia didn’t imdiately understand and responded with a, "Hmm?"
Mason’s expression remained unchanged, though the tips of his ears turned a bit red, "There were several tis I followed you from behind, and you didn’t notice?"
Aurelia paused, trying hard to recall if such a thing happened.
Mason sighed, didn’t expect her to notice, "With your careless nature, it’d be surprising if you did. You’re lucky you didn’t lose yourself in M Nation."
Aurelia put down the chopsticks with a "clack," "Let’s talk business."
Mason restrained his lips from curling up, barely holding back from laughing.
Aurelia: "Balthazar Shaw told about the things between you two."
Mason’s face suddenly turned somber, eyes flashing with a cold light, a faint murderous intent surfacing, "I warned Balthazar not to tell you about this!"
"And if he didn’t tell , then what?" Aurelia raised her voice, "I’d be in the dark forever? Mason, do you think, with being kept in the dark, you’re making so great selfless sacrifice? So noble and touching?"
