Madam Rong stood there, dumbfounded and hesitant. She looked at Mason Nightshade, unsure what she should do.
Mason Nightshade's expression instantly darkened. "Madam Rong, go upstairs and find every single divorce agreent in this room! Don't leave a single one behind!"
Madam Rong glanced at the two of them, but still went upstairs. About ten minutes later, she ca down holding a thick stack of papers and handed them to Mason Nightshade. She opened her mouth, hesitantly saying, "Young Master…"
Mason Nightshade glanced at the thick stack of papers, the anger in his chest blazing, yet he had no idea how to let it out.
He looked at her calm face, desperately wanting to ask: Do you really want to divorce ?
But he didn't dare to ask.
He was afraid her answer would be yes, and then he wouldn't even have the chance to ask her to stay.
"Take them out and burn them," Mason Nightshade ordered.
Madam Rong grabbed the thick stack of papers and hurried outside.
Aurelia Shaw finished her glass of milk and finally looked over at Mason Nightshade. Noticing his face flushed with anger, she spoke flatly, "What's the point of this? You burn the divorce agreents and I can just print more. You burn one, I print a hundred. You burn a hundred, I can print a thousand. What, are you going to shut down every print shop in Q City?"
"Then I'll shut them down." Mason Nightshade picked up his phone and called Gustavo Yates. Without waiting for the other side to speak, he coldly ordered, "Close every print shop in Q City."
Gustavo Yates hadn't even reacted before Mason Nightshade hung up the call.
"Mason Nightshade, could you be any more childish?" Aurelia Shaw frowned at him. "I want to divorce you. Do you really think if the divorce agreent is gone, I can't get divorced? I can still file a lawsuit in court…"
Before Aurelia Shaw could finish, Mason Nightshade called Gustavo Yates again. "Warn every lawyer in Q City—whoever dares to take Aurelia Shaw's case can forget about working in this business again!"
Aurelia Shaw started to get angry, too. She called Viscount Zhou. "Hey, I want a divorce. Help find a lawyer—soone who can definitely win!"
Viscount Zhou listened to her angry words and asked suspiciously, "You're really sure you want to divorce Mason Nightshade? Wait, that can't be right. If you divorce Mason, he should be so happy he'll be lighting firecrackers. Why would you need a lawyer?"
"Are you on his side or mine?"
Aurelia Shaw hadn't really been angry at first, but when she heard Viscount Zhou say that, her temper instantly flared. The only person she trusted was actually speaking for soone else!
"Of course I'm on your side," Viscount Zhou quickly declared his 'loyalty.'
He just never expected Aurelia Shaw would still insist on divorcing Mason Nightshade. That night, those words Mason had said… He'd thought the two were going to patch things up.
After Aurelia Shaw hung up, she arched an eyebrow and looked at Mason Nightshade provocatively. "You think you're the only one who controls all the lawyers in Q City? Q City isn't your private world. I know more people in the upper circles here than you, soone who's only been back from M Country for two years. When it cos to connections, I'm not worse off than you."
Hearing this, Mason Nightshade laughed, looking at her with an unreadable expression. "Alright, go ahead and try. See if there's anyone in Q City who dares to take your divorce case."
Aurelia Shaw frowned slightly, thinking: What does Mason Nightshade an by that?
