Mason Nightshade snapped back to reality.
His gaze unexpectedly collided with her cautious look. He paused, took a step forward, squatted down, cupped her face, and looked up at her.
His tone was filled with careful tenderness.
"What's wrong?"
"Are you unhappy?" she asked.
"No," Mason replied. "I was just thinking, why are you suddenly so close to ."
Aurelia Shaw frowned slightly, tilted her head, and her eyes shimred with confusion, as if she didn't understand what he ant by that.
"Forget it."
Mason sighed.
"Change your clothes, I'll take you out to buy cake, okay?"
"Okay!"
Aurelia's face imdiately lit up with a radiant smile that dazzled Mason for a mont. As she stood up, standing on the bed made her the sa height as him. She gazed into his deep eyes, her cheeks quietly blushing.
Mason waited silently for her next move, his eyes darkened for a mont, she was truly too seductive like this.
His throat tightened, he was just about to ask her what's wrong, when he saw her open her arms and look at him.
Hmm?
Mason was puzzled.
"I want to change clothes."
So?
"You... help change clothes." Aurelia's face flushed, biting her lower lip shyly, but her gaze remained unyieldingly focused on Mason.
Mason was stunned.
Past images of Aurelia's pure and bright smile, stubborn enough to move anyone's heart, flashed through his mind.
"Mason."
Perhaps he was in a daze for too long, her voice reached him, filled with grievance and uncertainty. Looking up, he saw her eyes reddened, looking at him like a bunny with red eyes, her rosy lips pouting and biting her lower lip slightly.
Mason's brows furrowed slightly, he reached out to touch her lips, softly reproaching, "When are you going to break the habit of biting your lip, don't you rember how it peeled in winter?"
Aurelia let his rough finger pads pull her lower lip free, faintly recalling a ti when, during winter, her lips had been peeling terribly and were even bleeding. The usually indifferent servant surprisingly handed her so ointnt. She had found it strange then but didn't think deeply about it.
Was it Mason who instructed the servant to give it to her?
Feeling a warmth in her heart, Aurelia smiled, her beautiful almond eyes arched, slender fingers tugging at his clothes, swaying slightly, "Mason, help change clothes."
Her voice was always pleasant to hear, and when intentionally softened, it carried an ethereal resonance, soft and sweet, making it irresistible.
Mason was moved, gazing at her slightly flushed face, his voice hoarse, "Are you serious?"
Despite how strange her sudden change in attitude was, but... when had he ever been able to refuse her request?
Especially this kind of request.
"Yes." Aurelia nodded firmly a couple of tis, showing she was earnest, her cheeks tinted with shy blush, yet her gaze didn't retreat in the slightest.
Mason's gaze burned intensely. He thought: If she truly intended to seduce soone, no man could resist seeing her like this.
Including him.
Because he knew this all too well, in the past he hadn't even dared to co back, let alone see her disappointed look, fearing that his soft heart would lead her into a deeper abyss.
"Close your eyes." Restraining his thoughts, Mason said.
"Why?" Whether genuinely disappointed or just unwilling to close her eyes, Aurelia pouted, asking reluctantly.
Mason, suppressing his wildly beating heart, firmly insisted, "If you want to help you change clothes, you must close your eyes."
Although still unwilling in her heart, Aurelia obediently closed her eyes, her lips couldn't help but slightly curve up, her arms stretched out, looking more at ease compared to Mason's slightly stiff, anxious face.
