The Cloud Pavilion Garden is a property under Aurelia Shaw’s na, situated in a very nice environnt. Before marrying Mason Nightshade, she didn’t like staying in that house which had changed and was no longer like the ho she once knew, so she bought a place outside to live. She lived here before getting married.
To prevent Audrey Wood from discovering her identity, each ti she would notify Audrey to co pick her up here.
Although it had been a long ti since she lived there, soone always cleaned the house, keeping it very tidy. The food in the fridge was fresh, the water in the kettle was recently changed, and the clothes in the wardrobe were the latest styles. It wasn’t as extravagant and sexy as the Nightshade Family’s place, but it suited her style.
Aurelia Shaw changed into so clothes, freshened up, and applied light makeup. She raised her eyes to check the ti—one o’clock, yet Audrey Wood hadn’t arrived. She wasn’t impatient, though; she took out the script to glance over the latest happenings in the entertainnt circle and browsed the film industry’s top directors’ V-blogs.
At two o’clock, Audrey Wood finally called. Aurelia, supporting herself with a cane, went downstairs. Audrey was sitting in the car, wearing heavy makeup and fashionable large black sunglasses on her nose. She glanced indifferently at Aurelia, who was limping her way over, without getting out of the car. She used the rearview mirror to check her makeup, impatiently urging coldly, "Hurry up, the road is still blocked, not sure if we’ll make it to the set on ti."
Aurelia let out a dismissive chuckle, not wanting to talk to her more. She got into the car, buckled her seatbelt, as if predicting sothing, took out a tablet, and silently looked at it. Audrey hadn’t been quiet for long before she started to advise Aurelia to rest more at ho, talking to herself for a long ti. Seeing Aurelia ignore her, she awkwardly shut her mouth, thinking about how her own financial path was cut off, irritably flooring the gas pedal. Glancing at Aurelia through the rearview mirror, she snorted contemptuously with schadenfreude.
You’ll have your reckoning soon!
Even though Aurelia was looking down at the tablet, Audrey’s glance hadn’t escaped her eyes. Her gaze deepened slightly, and she tapped her finger to send out a resu. She turned her gaze to the rapidly passing scenery outside the window. A trace of eager anticipation spread from the corners of her eyes and brows. The sunlight shone in, making her fair skin seem almost translucent, her crimson lips curling into a gorgeously dangerous smile.
"What did you say?!" Titan Jennings shouted loudly on set.
"Aurelia Shaw is just outside, you see..." The stage manager pointed outside, while catching a glimpse out of the corner of his eye at the woman in elaborate costu behind Titan.
Titan looked outside and indeed found Aurelia standing there, tall and upright, leaning slightly awkwardly on a cane due to her inconvenient leg. Frustration surged through Titan, and he threw down the script in his hand, striding over toward Aurelia.
Aurelia intuitively lifted her head, just in ti to see Titan walking over with a sullen face. He asked disapprovingly, "Why are you here?" His tone seed to imply that she shouldn’t have co at all.
Aurelia raised her eyebrows slightly, her gaze briefly sweeping over the woman following behind Titan. As though seeing through sothing, she narrowed her foxlike eyes, scanning up and down the familiar costu the woman wore, her expression inscrutable, her lips softly pressing together yet saying nothing.
Titan’s face turned slightly awkward, just as he was about to speak, Aurelia spoke first, her tone calm, saying slowly, "Director Titan, my body is pretty much fine, and it won’t affect my shooting for the upcoming scenes. I think I can officially start filming my parts this afternoon."
That phrase "my parts"—whether Aurelia said it deliberately or not—made the atmosphere on set a bit awkward. Staff looked at each other, saying nothing, adopting an attitude of watching a show.
Titan cleared his throat quietly, his eyes flitting over the woman behind him before looking back at Aurelia, his face showing a touch of coldness.
