Aurelia Shaw’s almond eyes lifted, her deep dark pupils glimring with a faint light, as the corners of her mouth curled into a playful smile. She beckoned with a finger as if to ensnare one’s soul, leaving the woman staring at her blankly, unconsciously walking over.
"Is this the costu I’m supposed to wear today?" Aurelia spoke softly, raising her hand, her slender and beautiful fingers stroking the costu laid out on the tray.
The woman’s body tensed, her eyes fixed on Aurelia’s actions, her breath held slowly. Just as she was about to touch it, suddenly, her hand stopped.
Aurelia glanced at her face, pale with nervousness, as the corners of her lips slowly curled into a smile, "Just set it aside for now; I’ll try it on later."
"This... isn’t quite appropriate." The woman swallowed.
Aurelia raised an eyebrow and looked at her sharply, "Inappropriate? In what way? Do you have so reason why I must try it on?"
"This..." The woman stiffly pulled at the corners of her mouth, "I’m worried the costu might not fit you. Previously, the role of Princess Anne was recast, and there might have been so alterations in costus. If you try it on and there’s anything that doesn’t fit, we can modify it as soon as possible."
Aurelia smirked sarcastically.
Worried it won’t fit her?
She had been in the crew for over four months, and they revolved around Eleanor Spencer every day. When had they ever worried about her? Such concern seed oddly suspicious.
"No need." Aurelia smiled faintly, "My figure is similar to Dovina’s, and Anne Hart only wears this outfit for this one scene today. There’s no need for modifications. I’m confident about my figure."
Aurelia had a slender build, yet her curves were ample where needed. Her slim and upright figure could practically fit into any outfit. Compared to her, Dovina’s figure was indeed wanting. If Dovina could wear it, Aurelia definitely could too, and she’d carry it with more grace than Dovina.
The staff compared the two in their minds.
"But..." The woman bit her teeth in frustration, her words carrying a hint of threat, "I advise you to try it on. If any mistakes occur during filming, delaying the schedule would not be good, right?"
Even a low-ranking wannabe dared to flaunt herself in front of her. The one backing her could easily destroy her with a flick of a finger.
Hm? Aurelia raised an eyebrow, was the dog starting to bite in desperation? The best thod to train a dog is to slap it once and then offer a piece of candy, while for the disobedient, it should be whipped harshly.
A trace of coldness flashed across Aurelia’s eyes, causing the woman to unconsciously step back, feeling that Aurelia’s gaze was incredibly terrifying, like a dangerous wolf cub.
"In that case, I..." Aurelia pondered for a mont, standing up to try on the costu.
As soon as she moved, a hand pressed on her shoulder and pushed her back into her seat.
The makeup artist’s brows knitted, glaring domineeringly at the woman from the costu departnt, "Since when did people from the costu departnt beco so talkative? Didn’t you see that her makeup isn’t finished yet? Try it on after the makeup’s done."
"Also, this is the makeup room; it’s not your place from the costu departnt to lord around here."
The woman regretted making such a mistake.
The film crew might seem like a unified entity, but each departnt had its own territorial awareness. Once soone infringed on their territory, they wouldn’t be as amiable as they seed.
The woman knew if she continued, she would arouse suspicion and potentially offend the makeup team. After all, the costu had been delivered, and Aurelia had to wear it eventually, so there was no fear of her ssing up mid-way.
The woman smiled awkwardly, trying to ease the atmosphere, "Sister Man, I didn’t notice. I’ll leave the costu here. After Aurelia finishes her makeup, watch her try it on. If there’s any issue, co find . I’ll be going now."
