"I went to school in M Nation since I was little. Over there, this sort of thing isn't popular, but parties are pretty common." Amanda Fuller recalled as she spoke.
Aurelia Shaw's eyes curved in a smile. "You're much luckier than they are. Here in Country Z, high schoolers aren't allowed to date."
Stabbed right in her sore spot, Amanda pulled a long face and freaked out, "There's no difference at all, okay?!" The only difference was she had a control freak for a brother who absolutely forbade her from dating!
Aurelia gave a light chuckle, not noticing a shadow quietly approaching her. She only heard a muffled "Sister," felt a cup of water spill over her, and looked up to see Jovana Shaw's apologetic face.
Heh, how could she forget, Jovana was here too.
"Ah! Sister, I didn't an to! Are you okay?" Jovana shrieked in a panic, instantly drawing everyone's attention. She grabbed so tissues, trying to help Aurelia wipe herself clean.
As if Aurelia couldn't tell what her real intention was?
She subtly dodged to the side, avoiding Jovana's hand. Her eyes narrowed, giving off an air of cold elegance.
Jovana's hand awkwardly froze midair, but she refused to pull back. She bit her lip as if hurt, but when she looked up, all anyone could see was her panic.
If you were an outsider and saw this scene, you'd definitely assu Aurelia was deliberately making things hard for Jovana. With so many journalists here, just one or two writeups could ruin Aurelia's reputation.
Jovana bit her lower lip, her eyes brimming with fear. Her petite fra trembled as she bowed over and over, apologizing, "I'm sorry, sister, I'm sorry, I didn't an it, it's all my fault."
Her movents were so natural, it was hard not to suspect she'd done it countless tis before.
Yet beneath the hair that covered her eyes, a flash of cold light passed. That car accident didn't kill you? Then this will ruin your reputation.
She stole glances at the people around her.
What's going on? Why isn't anyone taking photos? Why isn't anyone cursing Aurelia?
And what do these looks an? Why are they all looking at ?
Jovana had no idea that after that livestream incident, everyone saw through her two-faced act. Now, whatever she did, she couldn't win anyone's sympathy—if anything, people just thought she was scheming again.
Aurelia curled her lips into a tily, cold smile. "You ruined one of my dresses? I don't mind. But cut out this fake little act. If you want to embarrass yourself, do it at ho, not in public."
"Amanda, bring a new dress and send it to the lounge."
With that, Aurelia walked off.
Everyone whispered to each other, praising Aurelia as a true lady who understood the big picture, while the daughter born of a mistress could never compare to a proper heiress—petty, dramatic, desperate for attention about her own deeds.
To get into Q City High, you either had to be a top student or co from power and wealth.
They couldn't stand people like Jovana the most.
So of the rich wives present hated mistresses to their core—let alone the children they bore. In front of their husbands and kids, they tore into Jovana and especially warned their own kids not to associate with her.
Jovana's face went pale then flushed red, her cheeks burning with sha. She wished she could find a hole to hide in as she stumbled away in embarrassnt.
What the hell happened?
Why wasn't anyone blaming Aurelia? Why were all these accusing eyes fixed on her?
The friends who used to be close, why were they suddenly siding with Aurelia?
In just a few months, how did everything change?
