A few minutes later.
The still-shaken Aurelia Shaw sat down on the sofa, with a lazy cat sprawled on her lap, yawning lazily.

Earlier, this little fellow had suddenly pounced and scared her, and now, it was clinging to her.
Gently scratching the cat's chin, Aurelia looked up at Caspian Parker, "Let's continue what we were talking about earlier. Why did you suddenly leave back then?"
Caspian looked at the scene of a woman and a cat before him, his heart sowhat lted by the cuteness.
His lips instinctively curled into a gentle smile.
He lowered his head and looked at his hand.
There was a hint of gloom in his eyes, "There was a problem with my hand."
"Huh?" His voice was soft, but Aurelia still heard it. Her gaze also fell on Caspian's hand, a complex expression in her eyes, "What happened to your hand?"
Caspian smiled slightly, "There was a problem with my hand. You know, I play the piano, and if sothing happens to my hand, I can't play."
"Actually, there had been a bit of a problem for a while, but I didn't pay attention to it. Later it worsened, and when my family found out, they sent soone to bring back."
"Then why didn't you take with you? Or at the very least, let know." Aurelia still felt quite bitter about those past events.
Caspian chuckled, "My family was very strict. If I took you over there, with your personality, you would have been suffocated. It's better for you to stay here, it's better for you."
"And why didn't you contact ?" Aurelia always felt like he was hiding sothing from her, like the family of grandparents she had never t.
"There was no signal at the treatnt place," Caspian said.
He gave a bitter smile when she wasn't looking.
The rehabilitation process was so tough, she would have certainly cried if she knew.
If he had contacted her, she would have definitely fussed, pouted, and insisted on coming over. He never had any resistance to her requests.
Aurelia's gaze lingered on Caspian's face, scrutinizing for a while, yet finding no trace of a lie.
Withdrawing the hand that the cat had been biting playfully, she held Caspian's hand, turning it over to inspect it.
His hand was still as beautiful as ever, slender and long, not rough like a man's, yet not as delicate as a woman's, with nails neatly trimd. Among won, Aurelia's hands were considered beautiful, but she always felt they weren't as beautiful as Caspian's hands.
She had been jealous of these hands for a long ti.
Her fingers brushed across Caspian's palm. She rembered that he seed to have returned in their past life, but there seed to be a scar in the center of his palm. That mory was blurry to her, as if soone had shown her a photo. Those tis, tornted by substances, left her mory in chaos, and she couldn't recall many things clearly.
"Is it better now?" Aurelia asked.
If things from the past life really happened, it ant they might occur again in this life.
Would sothing happen to Caspian's hand again?
And why would it happen?
Cool fingertips touched Aurelia's furrowed brow, smoothing it out as Caspian smiled and said, "It's fine now. Haven't you heard my piano piece?"
Seeing her look puzzled, Caspian prompted, "The piano piece you played today."
Aurelia suddenly realized, "So it was you playing the piano that day!"
No wonder!
She had wondered why the style felt so familiar. Moreover, she couldn't rember other pieces, but this complex one, she did rember. So it was him playing.
Caspian was Aurelia's first piano teacher, and she had a nestling affection for his playing.
Thinking back on things from their past life, Aurelia felt a stone lodged in her chest, uneasy and unsettled.
