Aurelia Shaw couldn't help but let out a light laugh, "The fool Gustavo Yates you ntioned is my dad. It's not nice to insult my dad right in front of , is it?"
Office.
Mason Nightshade heard the clear laugh close in his ear, his heart starting to pound faster, and his throat bobbing slightly.
Upon hearing the latter part, his expression remained unchanged, his thin lips lifted, and he let out a mocking, cold laugh.
"Him being worthy of my comnt is his good fortune. At least in my eyes, he's just a fool and hasn't reached the level of an imbecile."
Once again, Aurelia Shaw witnessed Mason Nightshade's sharp tongue.
"Have you had breakfast?" Mason's low voice sounded.
Not hearing her speak for a while, Mason brought up a topic himself.
Aurelia glanced at Jovana Shaw's room and said, "I was woken up early by two flies, no appetite to eat."
"Co over to my place, hmm?"
The magnetic, slightly deep and llow male voice, like a cello, gently entered her ears, making it hard to refuse.
Aurelia raised an eyebrow, glanced around the room, and feeling happy, agreed, "Sure."
Mason didn't expect her to agree so readily. His expression froze, and he stood there bewildered for a second before calmly replying with three words: "I'll wait."
After hanging up the phone, even though Mason's eyes were on the docunt in front of him, not a single word registered. The corner of his tightly pressed lips subconsciously lifted into a curve, and warm laughter surfaced in his dark eyes.
Gustavo Yates was stunned by this scene.
Young Madam! Without eavesdropping, he knew it was a call with Young Madam.
Every ti he called Young Madam, the Young Master would act like a fool, with the corners of his mouth raised and never going back down.
After hanging up the phone, Aurelia turned around and saw Gustavo Yates standing in front of her. She looked at him and didn't speak first.
She could tell Gustavo Yates had sothing to say to her.
"Dad has never doubted you," Gustavo Yates said, nervously watching Aurelia, afraid she might get upset.
Who would have thought that the Shaw Family's chairman would be such a daughter fanatic?
"I know," Aurelia said, "I've never thought otherwise."
The tension in Gustavo Yates's face relaxed into a smile, as if he rembered sothing, "Jovana has been through a lot recently. I hope this hasn't hurt you."
"Dad won't ask you to forgive her because it wouldn't be fair to you, and Clara was just montarily anxious..."
"Dad," Aurelia interrupted him, "After all these years, haven't you ever suspected that those two have other motives?"
"You say it was accidental between you and her after drinking. I believe you, but you've been through many things and must have encountered many won trying to get close to you. Don't you suspect Clara Philips might be one of them?"
"It's impossible. Your Aunt Claire didn't like at all back then. Although she was my secretary, she worked for for two years without any crossing the lines. If it weren't for that one ti... I believe her life would have been better. She wouldn't have married soone like , who's been married once and is much older."
Aurelia shook her head, chuckling lightly, "People change. When you first t her, did you believe she'd ever slander like this? Not everyone is like Mom, so silly, genuinely liking you."
"Dad, be cautious of her, always. I believe you're very shrewd in business, but take good care of your health, and don't let those with ulterior motives harm you."
