"Two people are getting it?" Aurelia raised an eyebrow.
Amanda Fuller gave her a knowing look.
If Amanda hadn't co, neither of them would probably have been willing to leave.
Amanda Fuller's bloody heart voice: Bro, I really miss you.
Ten minutes later.
Mason Nightshade returned with the test results in his hand.
Caspian Parker didn't co back.
"Oh, Mr. Parker didn't co back with you?" Amanda Fuller said as she looked outside.
Mason Nightshade's face darkened for a mont, and he said irritably, "He left because he had sothing to do."
Hm, if he hadn't noticed Aurelia was genuinely worried about this man, he wouldn't have bothered to bring him up.
"Amanda, I want to eat Foster Ledger's porridge. Can you help buy so?" Aurelia said.
"Now?" It's only two o'clock in the afternoon, just after lunch.
But soon, Amanda Fuller realized that Aurelia was intentionally sending her away and probably had sothing to say alone with Mr. Nightshade.
So she said, "Sure, I'll drive over there. Is there anything else you want to eat?"
"Just buy whatever you think is good."
"Okay."
Amanda Fuller left the house with her car keys.
The room was left with only Aurelia and Mason Nightshade.
Aurelia got out of bed, wanting to go to the bathroom.
Mason Nightshade hurriedly took two steps forward, reaching out to support her arm, while frowning slightly, a subtle hint of tension passing through his eyes.
Yet...
The outstretched hand found nothing.
Aurelia avoided his hand, lifted her gaze, and looked at his face.
Her eyes were indifferent.
Mason Nightshade's heart suddenly sank with a bad feeling.
This feeling had been there since she woke up.
But he had chosen to ignore it.
Now, he couldn't ignore it even if he wanted to.
Aurelia had grown distant from him.
Yet he didn't know the reason; he didn't even know what he'd done wrong. Suddenly, he was hurled into a dead end.
"Aurelia..." Mason Nightshade moved his thin lips, avoiding her eyes, took a step forward, and still held her arm.
His lips ford a gentle and doting smile, "Your wound hasn't healed yet; you can't move around on your own. I'll help you over."
"Mason, I have sothing to tell you..." Aurelia said coldly.
"Whatever it is, wait until you're better to talk about it." Mason Nightshade interrupted her, not giving her the chance to speak.
"Mason..."
"I'll help you to the bathroom first."
Once again, their conversation was cut short.
Aurelia's gaze turned colder, "From now on, let's not contact each other anymore."
No matter how Mason tried to stop her, Aurelia still said it.
She felt his hand stiffen as he held her, his breath suddenly becoming a little shaky.
After a mont, Mason Nightshade spoke, "Focus on walking; the wound could easily tear." His voice was calm, as if he hadn't heard what was just said.
But Aurelia knew he had heard.
She provoked him even more, saying, "I've thought about it for a long ti. Saying break up may not be suitable for the two of us. Our relationship isn't really dating; at most, it's a casual fling. We can part on good terms; we're all adults."
"Earlier, I kind of misunderstood my feelings for you. I initially thought that a man pursuing for so many years finally liking would make happy."
"But after this ti together, I've realized I don't love you anymore."
"Maybe I just enjoy the thrill of chasing sothing. You know my background; I grew up getting whatever I wanted, chasing no uncatchable man. Suddenly, a man told he didn't like , and surely I felt intrigued and unwilling."
"But..." she paused, "Since I've caught up, why should I linger?"
