This sound...
A little off.
Aurelia Shaw frowned, a flash of thought crossed her mind... No way?
"No thanks," Aurelia said. She could sll the smoke on Mason Nightshade's suit, but there was no alcohol or smoke taste in his mouth.
He was probably out socializing tonight, but not drinking or smoking? Even though Mason's status isn't low, it's hard to believe he didn't indulge in such occasions, right?
Aurelia didn't think deeply about it, instinctively avoiding the issue and closing her eyes to sleep.
Mason picked up so clean clothes and went to the bathroom to shower. Ten minutes later, he ca out, his hair wet, dressed in comfortable gray casual wear, holding a towel in his slender fingers, casually rubbing his hair.
He lifted his eyes, his gaze uncontrollably falling on Aurelia, a slight frown on his brow, he sighed helplessly in his heart.
Kicking the quilt again.
Mason bent down, picked up the quilt, and covered her again, tucking her in gently so she wouldn't wake up.
But not even half a minute passed before Aurelia's arm stretched out, and then a leg kicked out, her hands and feet searching for sothing. She quickly hugged the quilt, curling sideways, her frown relaxed.
Mason's eyes carried a helpless smile as he repeated his previous actions. To prevent her limbs from escaping again, he dragged a chair over, like last night, sitting by the bed, with his fingers pressing the quilt, resting his head on his hand, looking at her sleeping face.
Aurelia frowned, feeling the blanket on top of her botherso, her hand struggled to break free.
Mason extended his hand, and as soon as his fingertips touched hers, she imdiately grasped it, the slightly anxious frown relaxed again, and she stopped fussing.
She needed to hold sothing or cuddle with sothing to sleep soundly; Mason knew about her habit.
In the middle of the night, Mason changed Aurelia's IV, and after her dication was finished, he removed the needle for her.
Aurelia frowned slightly.
Mason imdiately noticed, his fingers brushed her frown gently, soothingly whispering, "It doesn't hurt anymore, go to sleep, good girl."
Just then, the door was pushed open, and the night nurse ca in to remove the needle.
The nurse hadn't expected Mason to still be awake, paused for a mont, and then realized that the IV had already been removed by Mason.
Mason motioned "shh" and handed the IV to the nurse.
The nurse was a beat slow to take it, quickly lowered her head, softly saying, "Thank you, Mr. Nightshade," and hurriedly left.
It was the first ti the nurse had seen Mason not in his ticulous manner, with loose hair, wearing casual ho wear, exuding a light lemony scent, a fatal attraction to won.
Different from the dayti him.
But equally charming... No, after getting used to the aloof and indifferent Mason seen during the day, suddenly seeing this big brother figure of him, the contrast cuteness is just too thrilling!
But.
Has Mr. Night been keeping vigil by the bedside? So warm and thoughtful! What a pity, due to patient privacy, she can't leak this information, otherwise, it would definitely cause a storm online.
Humph, she's only just realized that all those rumors online about Aurelia clinging to Mason were all fake! Fake! Gossip is indeed untrustworthy.
"Ouch!" The young nurse was suddenly pushed against the wall by soone rushing past, hurting her arm. She looked up to see a face that seed innocent yet carried an arrogant hostility.
