Mason Nightshade assud she even wanted to settle this with him.
"Aurelia, listen to carefully." He said word by word, "Take good care of yourself. I don’t need you risking your life to protect . If there ever cos a day when I’m in danger, I won’t allow you to rescue ! Did you hear that?"
Aurelia Shaw looked at him without speaking.
Mason Nightshade surrendered, sighing softly by her ear, "Seeing you injured hurts more than being injured myself. Don’t get hurt, okay, hmm?"
The breath against her ear was scorching, and Aurelia Shaw unconsciously turned her head slightly. "I won’t get hurt, nor will I lose my life that easily, so you don’t need to worry."
Aurelia Shaw didn’t know why, but she had an intuition that Mason Nightshade seed to be afraid of her dying.
Her fingers fumbled to touch his back, her voice carrying a hint of unconscious tension, "Are you injured? Is it serious? Does it hurt? Turn around and let see."
The space was very cramped, their faces almost touching, Mason Nightshade held her in his arms, but she knew there was still space to turn around.
Instead, Mason Nightshade held her even tighter, his breath hot and burning on her neck, his voice soft enough to make one pregnant.
"Don’t move." He said.
"Who knows if there’ll be aftershocks. It’s best not to move, or else I’ll get injured saving you again."
There was no bla in Mason Nightshade’s voice, rather a light laugh.
He sighed, "Aurelia, let hold you for a while."
Aurelia Shaw stopped moving, but her hand kept searching his back, frowning to see if he was injured sowhere. Eventually, her small hand slipped inside his clothes, searching.
Mason Nightshade’s body stiffened, his voice instantly turning husky, "Aurelia! Be good, take your hand out."
"Mason Nightshade, I’m just checking if your ribs are okay."
"My ribs are fine,
Aurelia Shaw knew what the other matter Mason Nightshade was referring to,
Mason Nightshade held her, whispering in her ear, "But, Aurelia, as long as you’re by my side, I can’t help but think about it. So don’t tempt , okay? It’ll only make more miserable."
Aurelia Shaw withdrew her hand, nowhere to place it, so she could only clutch the corner of Mason Nightshade’s clothing.
But Mason Nightshade wouldn’t let her off, insisting on hearing the truth from her lips, "Hmm?"
After a while.
Aurelia Shaw let out a barely audible "mhm."
Mason Nightshade smiled contentedly.
No one knew how much ti had passed. Both were well aware that the rescue team couldn’t possibly arrive so soon; they were trapped beneath the landslide, and the rescue would not be an easy task.
"Mason Nightshade, why are you here?" Aurelia Shaw asked him. His appearance had really taken her by surprise; she never expected him to be here.
"I followed you here," Mason Nightshade said.
"Hmm?" Aurelia Shaw lifted her head.
Mason Nightshade just happened to lower his head, staring at those crimson lips with a burning gaze. With imnse restraint, he managed to hold himself back from kissing her, "I followed you here."
Aurelia Shaw was taken aback, suddenly rembering the room next to hers, whose occupant she didn’t know.
