Mason Nightshade imdiately felt a pang of heartache, only wanting her to go back and avoid getting any more intoxicated, but he couldn't.
He brought the ointnt, applying it for her, looking at her originally slender and delicate fingers, now full of wounds, and his heart ached, furrowing his brow, he gently blew on them.
"Does it hurt?"
"Mason, I'm not a child."
Mason glanced up at her, "You're not much different from a child, your hands are like this and you didn't even say a word."
"I applied ointnt last night," Aurelia Shaw said.
Mason was stunned for a mont and then recalled that she must have secretly applied it herself while helping him with his ointnt last night.
"Just rest in the tent for today."
"I ca here to help, how can I just hide in the tent and not go out? If the reporters capture that, they'll probably say I'm just putting on a show." Aurelia Shaw said nonchalantly.
"If they say you're putting on a show, just show them your hands. I guarantee their hands are cleaner and more delicate than yours!" Mason said through gritted teeth.
Aurelia Shaw chuckled lightly, "I'll go help with the search and rescue, I don't need to lift a finger." At this, she glanced at Mason, "You shouldn't go out, you're injured."
Although Aurelia said so, Mason couldn't just stay calmly in the tent while his woman braved the cold wind outside.
Aurelia hadn't been gone long before Mason followed her, just as he suspected, seeing her quickly joining in to help move stones, getting involved in the rescue efforts.
Aurelia was moving a large stone when she suddenly felt her hands lighten as another hand reached out to take the stone from her, easily tossing it to the side.
She looked up and t a pair of brooding eyes.
Mason Nightshade.
"Is this what you an by not needing to lift a finger? Is this what you an by helping with search and rescue?" Mason's voice was deep and cold as winter frost, and seeing her hands bloodied again, his heart was a mix of pain and anger.
This girl truly does not know how to take care of herself.
"Co with ." Mason grabbed Aurelia Shaw's hand, striding towards the resting area.
He took out a box of ointnt from his pocket, lifted her hand, and slowly applied it to the bleeding spots, his brow tightly furrowed, his face dark enough to drip ink.
Aurelia couldn't resist pinching his face, surprised at how nice his skin felt, so elastic.
Unable to resist, she pinched a few more tis.
Her hand was sared with ointnt and now it was all over Mason's face.
He looked up, grimly staring at her.
Was he angry? Aurelia wondered. But thinking about it, Mason was a germaphobe, her hand was dirty, and it had ointnt on it, it was understandable he'd be upset.
She pulled her hand back.
Mason held onto her hand as she tried to pull back, reapplying ointnt to her hand, he sighed helplessly, "You truly don't know pain."
Pain? She'd been through worse than this before.
"This pain is nothing," Aurelia said casually.
Mason's movents paused, a complex expression flashing in his eyes, finally turning into a deep-seated tender affection, staring intensely at her, he gritted his teeth and said word by word, "You, stand here, no going anywhere, no helping out."
Aurelia frowned, looking around.
Standing here?
Wouldn't that make her a striking scene?
Aurelia tried to reason with him, "This ti I'm really only helping with the search and not the rescue, how about that?"
Mason just stared at her without speaking.
Aurelia raised an eyebrow, "And you said when training you'd be ruthless, now you can't bear to, how will you train in the future?"
