Dylan Harper chuckled foolishly.
Dylan Harper seed silly, but he was definitely not truly foolish. He treated her as one of his own, which is why he was frank with her. Aurelia Shaw knew this and would respond with sincerity to those who truly cared.
The corner of her mouth curved upwards, and she stepped into the car.
The car stopped in front of a luxuriously decorated restaurant, a place where the interior was anything but understated. The owner couldn't wait to display all valuable items to make his restaurant appear prestigious and high-class.
They arrived at a private room reserved by Dylan Harper's group.
Eleanor Spencer lowered her head shyly, set her eyes on the main seat, and was heading towards it when Rocco Cooper abruptly spoke, "Dylan Harper, why are you standing there? We're organizing this al; we need to treat our guests well. Hurry and let everyone sit down."
"Right, right." Dylan Harper tapped his head and pushed Aurelia Shaw towards the main seat. A savvy guy called Liuzzi pulled out a chair with a broad grin, "Sis... cough, cough, Miss Shaw, please take a seat!"
As these three guys played off each other, Aurelia Shaw unceremoniously sat down, noticing Eleanor Spencer's grim expression. She deliberately tilted her head, asking curiously, "Why aren't you sitting? Is it because you don't like it here?"
"Oh, that's right. You're used to eating fine food, and what we have probably doesn't suit your palate. It's understandable if you don't like it. Um..."
"I'm Six." Seeing Aurelia Shaw looking at him, Six introduced himself proactively.
Aurelia Shaw curled her almond-shaped eyes. This kid was really cute, "Six, check out what's good on the nu. Don't hold back. Order the most expensive and delicious things, otherwise Miss Spencer won't be satisfied."
Aurelia Shaw emphasized the word "most" and gave Six a knowing glance.
Six, being a sharp fellow, imdiately understood. He shot a disdainful glance at Eleanor Spencer, "In the military, we're happy if we can have a decent al. Ah, can't compare to so people who eat the best and drink the best. Rocco, you invited these people to dine with us, but they might not be used to our taste."
Rocco Cooper smiled faintly, "This is the best restaurant in City A. I didn't expect it. Miss Spencer, if you prefer the food from another place, why don't I go get so for you?"
Though Rocco Cooper said that, he had no intention of actually going.
This woman dared to bully his sister-in-law right in front of him, treating them as if they were nothing? They had promised Mason Nightshade to protect his sister-in-law.
"Isabel Bennett is just a bit nervous eating with everyone. There's no other aning." Nancy Carter ca out to defend Eleanor Spencer, casting a sarcastic look at Aurelia Shaw's seat, "According to our status in the circle, Isabel has never sat anywhere but the main seat."
"That's a coincidence. Aurelia Shaw has never sat anywhere but the main seat either." Amanda Fuller shot back with sarcasm, then arrogantly gave her a cold sneer, "This is a private gathering. I don't care how high Eleanor Spencer's status is. If she wants to show off, she should go to a proper social event in the circle, instead of pretending to be soone important here."
Nancy Carter's face turned red with anger, pointing at Amanda Fuller, "You..." but she couldn't get the words out.
Eleanor Spencer saw the situation and realized that if it continued, word of this would certainly reach Mason Nightshade's ears. These people were Mason's n, and if she wanted to beco Mason's woman, winning them over was crucial.
But seeing Aurelia Shaw's smug look, she was so furious she wished she could smash that face to pieces!
"Nancy, don't." Eleanor Spencer spoke softly, as if she had been wronged.
