Aurelia Shaw's eyes drooped; when a person relaxes, they just want to find a comfortable place to lie down for a while and do nothing.
Slling the pleasant scent emanating from him, Aurelia felt even more drowsy.
But she knew she couldn't sleep. Falling asleep outside in such cold weather could lead to a cold, which would delay a lot of things.
Suddenly.
Mason Nightshade pulled her down.
Aurelia looked at Mason in confusion.
He sized her up, frowning slightly, wrapped her in his coat, and murmured, "You can't fall asleep here. Can you keep going? Just hold on for a while more, we're almost there."
His tone was much like coaxing a child.
So he thought her silence just now ant she was about to fall asleep?
Aurelia didn't correct Mason's misconception. She nodded, allowing herself to be wrapped in his embrace as they walked forward.
She wasn't exactly short, but Mason was very tall, giving her a profound sense of security.
Many passersby had their eyes drawn to this handso and beautiful couple.
But Aurelia didn't mind the looks of others. She wore sunglasses, so she wasn't afraid of being recognized, and being wrapped in Mason's arms made it hard for others to discern her features anyway. However, Mason... his handso face was bound to attract admirers.
Aurelia took off her sunglasses and put them on Mason.
Mason looked down at her, "Why are you giving these to ? You should wear them!"
Truth be told, Mason had the sa thought as Aurelia; he wished he could hide her away at ho, where only he could see her beauty.
"Your face is much more eye-catching than mine."
Upon hearing this, Mason laughed, "Worried I'll get attention?"
Aurelia retorted without hesitation, "I'm worried a fool like you might get kidnapped and sold."
Disregarding the crowd in the street, Mason caught her lips in his, biting down hard on that mouth of hers that he both loved and hated.
"Let's go back to the hotel."
Hotel.
Mason swiped the room card, and they took the elevator upstairs. In the elevator mirror, their reflections showed two slender figures; one in a stunning wool coat, the other tall, with a large hand tightly clutching her small hand, never letting go along the way.
Entering the room.
"I'll go shower first," Aurelia said as she took off her coat, recalling the last ti and squinting to warn the man, "Don't co in while I'm showering this ti, you hear ?"
"But I miss you. How about we go together?" Mason clung to her again.
Aurelia pushed him away, pinching his chin with a touch of intimacy in her tone, "Be good, stop fooling around, okay? Let rest tonight."
The implication being that he wore her out last night — indeed, he was a bit intense.
"I got it, you go shower. I had our luggage sent over in advance; it's in the bedroom," Mason conceded.
Aurelia saw the suitcase in the bedroom, took out so skincare products, and headed into the bathroom.
A half-hour later, she ca out of the bathroom, her hair wet and wearing a bathrobe, two fair and beautiful calves showing as she moved lightly.
She sensed a strong gaze on her and turned to look, as expected, seeing Mason. He was sitting on the sofa and had, at so point, co out from the bathroom.
Just like that, waiting patiently outside the bathroom?
How adorable.
Aurelia walked over and nudged his leg, "Go shower already."
Mason gripped her fair, beautiful ankle, his fingertips radiating a unique heat, "Do you know how tempting that phrase is to a man?"
