Sensing a chilly gaze cast in his direction, Mr. Wu belatedly turned his head and t Mason Nightshade's cold, inky eyes.
He froze.
Mason Nightshade curled his lips in a smile, "Pretty, isn't she?"
Mr. Wu hesitated, unsure what he ant by this, and replied hesitantly, "Miss Shaw looks... a bit prettier than other won. Mr. Nightshade, you were quite lucky before."
Seeing Aurelia Shaw waiting outside, Mr. Wu didn't think much of it, simply assuming the two had business dealings.
After all, the Shaw Family's business with the Nightshade Family hasn't been severed.
Moreover, the two are already divorced.
Everyone knows Mason Nightshade is swift and unforgiving; he'd never let anyone who offended him off the hook, and it's impossible for him to remarry a woman he's divorced.
But now thinking back, Mr. Nightshade's gaze at her is not one of hostility.

Mr. Wu was sweating nervously, thinking of sothing to salvage the situation, but it was a bit late.
Mason Nightshade lightly taps his fingers on the table, lips forming a half-smile, "Mr. Wu, suddenly there are a few things in the contract I'm not entirely satisfied with, needs more consideration."
Mr. Wu hearing this, "Mr. Nightshade, what are you dissatisfied with? We can discuss it further."
He'd managed to climb up to the Nightshade Family's big branch, thinking that the business was almost settled, just shy of signing the contract.
He wanted to chat to improve relations, thinking that whether the contract was signed soon or a bit later, it would get signed last night anyway.
But who knew his flattery hit a wrong chord.
Mason Nightshade stood up, sneering coldly, "Right now, I'm dissatisfied with everything."
"Mr. Nightshade..."
Mason Nightshade pushed the door open and went out.
Gustavo Yates saw Mason Nightshade's gloomy face, paused, and saw Mr. Wu looking tense behind him, feeling puzzled.
Weren't they discussing a contract? The contract was at its final stage, just missing the last step of signing it, but why does the boss seem so upset?
Mason Nightshade walked up to Aurelia Shaw.
Aurelia Shaw sensed soone approaching, lifted her head, and seeing it was him, was slightly surprised, "Finished talking?"
So soon.
"Yeah." Mason Nightshade responded heavily, his face still gloomy, suddenly he bent down, grabbed her chin, captured her lips, and kissed her.
