Mason Nightshade glanced at her indifferently, and said without much emotion, "Blocking a knife for my own woman, what reason do I need?"
Aurelia Shaw scoffed, curling her lips. She didn’t expect Mason Nightshade to tell the truth. Woman? Ha! It must have been his soldier’s instinct at the ti that made him act reflexively without seeing who he was saving. If he had known it was her, he would probably wish her face had been scarred so he’d have a reason to never co ho again, to never have to face the sight of her that sickened him.
Mason Nightshade furrowed his brow slightly, glancing at the slender, pale hand holding the tweezers. The way she applied the dicine was so rough. Back when he was in the military, even the rough guys who helped him with dication were gentler than this. Did he sohow misunderstand his wife before?
"Wife, you should take on action roles in the future," Mason said in all seriousness.
"What?" Aurelia Shaw didn’t expect Mason to suddenly say sothing like that. She looked up at him in confusion, only to hear him say in earnest, "Your strength is great; you’d be perfect for action scenes!"
"Ow—!"
Aurelia Shaw suddenly pressed down her hand, catching Mason off guard. A sharp pain shot through his wrist, making him inhale sharply, but he was a real man and didn’t cry out.
"However..." he endured the pain and said, "You should stay away from applying dicine on people; it’s as if you’re trying to kill soone. In ancient tis, this would count as attempted murder, making enemies easily."

Applying dicine this ti was extrely torturous for Mason Nightshade. Aurelia Shaw fully demonstrated what it ant to be not gentle, and Mason experienced pain that was even worse than getting a bullet removed from an inflad abdon without anesthetics.
However, Aurelia Shaw still had a sense of discretion; despite her roughness, she didn’t actually harm Mason’s wound. After finishing applying the dicine, she bandaged it up.
She was quite skilled at bandaging, but since Mason Nightshade had so offended her, and considering Aurelia’s vengeful nature, how could she let him off so easily?
Of course, she made the bandaging ugly and ssy.
If Mason found it unsightly, he could have soone else redo it, and then she’d have a reason not to serve this "Buddha" figure anymore.
Mason Nightshade seed to know she did it on purpose. After casually glancing at his arm, he said nothing, tidied up the dical kit and placed it far away. When he turned around, his brow suddenly twitched. The big bear he had thrown two ters away was now quietly back on the bed.
"Throw it away!" Mason Nightshade strode over, reaching out to throw the annoying bear toy away again.
Aurelia Shaw clutched it tightly, her almond-shaped eyes lifting as she looked at Mason, "No way! My mom bought this for when I was little. Since I’m finally back today, I have to sleep with it! Otherwise, I can’t fall asleep."
"How about I let you sleep holding ? I guarantee you’ll fall asleep," Mason offered.
"NO!" Aurelia Shaw coldly rejected.
Mason Nightshade: "..."
In the end, Mason relented, and the big bear lay between the two of them. To prevent Mason from suddenly throwing it away, Aurelia Shaw slept with her arms tightly around the bear’s neck, a fine layer of sweat forming on her forehead from the heat.
At around one in the morning, Mason heard the steady, deep breathing from the next room. He called out "Aurelia" without getting a response. Carefully, he removed her hands, snatched the bear, and threw it to the floor. He glanced at it with disdain like a victor and snorted coldly.
He moved an inch towards the middle of the bed.
Half asleep, Aurelia felt sothing missing in her arms and instinctively grabbed for it, wrapping her arms around sothing soft and fleshy. Thinking it was the big bear, she clung tightly to it, all the while thinking, hmm, must hold onto the bear, mustn’t let Mason gain any advantage.
