"Mason's already divorced you, why are you still clinging to him? Mason's just playing with you now, do you really think he likes you?
Hah! If Mason truly liked you, would he have divorced you?"
This Alia Sherwood isn't entirely without brains; she knows how to sow discord.
Yet this trick doesn't work on Aurelia.
Only she and Mason know what's going on between them. She's seen plenty of petty sches like this before. Honestly, Eleanor Spencer was much better at it.
A faint smile appeared on her lips, and she chuckled softly, "You probably don't know, right? Eleanor was once the chosen daughter-in-law. How is she now? Haven't heard from her in a long ti, have you?
She's currently locked up in a ntal hospital. I've heard she's having so issues with her nerves. Do you want to join her?"
Alia snorted, "Aunt Sophie told about this long ago. You frad her to trap her in there. You're a woman with a heart of a viper."
Aurelia actually felt a bit of sympathy for this woman.
Unable to distinguish right from wrong, being used by others, yet foolishly still unaware.
This foolish person, she didn't want to waste any more ti here with her.
As she lifted her leg to leave, a hand reached over her shoulder. Before it could touch her, Aurelia's eyes sharpened. She grabbed her wrist, turned, and pressed her knee into her back, forcing Alia to kneel.
Her skills had improved greatly after training with Mason during this ti.
Alia cried out in pain, "Aurelia, what are you doing! Do you know where this place is? Help! Aunt Sophie, help—"
Aurelia let her scream.
Not long after, Sophie Nye hurried over.
Almost as if she'd been waiting outside the whole ti, ready to jump in.
Aurelia squinted her eyes.
Sophie's face turned dark, and she scolded sharply, "Aurelia, what are you doing!?"
"Not clear enough?" Aurelia, never sparing feelings for anyone except those close to her, cast a cold glance that made Sophie shiver.
This revolting woman was getting more and more unpredictable.
"What am I doing?" Aurelia countered, "You'd better ask her. I was calmly using the bathroom, and she barged in to accuse . I've heard she's your chosen daughter-in-law? Hah, she hasn't even entered the family yet and is already so arrogant. Who knows, soday she might just abuse you when you're old."
Is Sophie blind or what?
Back then, she listened to everything Sophie said, yet Sophie still wasn't satisfied, parading various suitors around.
Which one of these people could really compare to her?
Indeed, people can't be given too much face; the more you give them, the more they take advantage.
But Sophie Nye, a lady raised in an elite family, surely can see through this. Her desire to destroy anything better than herself is deeply problematic.
What has she been through?
Aurelia wasn't interested in this.
With a push of her knee, Alia toppled over, her face landing right in the toilet.
While the Nightshade Residence's toilets are cleaned daily, Aurelia had just used it, flushed, but a lingering scent remained.
Spoiled since childhood, Alia imdiately started vomiting into the toilet.
"Luna, are you alright? Aurelia, you've gone too far!" Sophie hurried over to pat Alia's back, questioning Aurelia.
In her heart, she was exceedingly disdainful of her.
Worthless thing, she thought she could provoke Aurelia into a furious outburst, but who would have thought she'd be the one making a fool of herself!
