Aurelia Shaw looked down at her outfit, "Isn't what I'm wearing thick?"
Mason Nightshade glanced at her briefly, she was wearing a pink wool coat, with a white sweater inside, and thick leggings with black over-the-knee boots. It didn't seem thin, but Mason Nightshade furrowed his brows in discontent, "Not thick!"
Okay... Aurelia sighed inwardly, she couldn't dress according to a straight man's perspective, otherwise, she'd end up in the news every few days, with titles like *Aurelia Gains Weight* *Suspected Pregnancy* *Is the New-Gen Goddess Giving Up?* *Aurelia Becos A Mum*, giving her haters plenty of material to work with.
"What's going on with your eting with Viscount Zhou today?" Mason suddenly asked.
Aurelia's heart skipped a beat, Mason was indeed too sharp; even the smallest details couldn't escape his notice.
A mont of distraction passed, Aurelia curved her brow, smiling, "I felt our last argunt was too pointless, so I wanted to apologize personally."
"That's all?"
"What else?"
Mason didn't press further, nor did he ask about her taking ti off from Caleb to et Eleanor Spencer.
The car steadily drove back to Nightshade Residence.
After dinner, Aurelia returned to her bedroom, took off her heavy clothes, put on her pajamas, and went to the bathroom.
"Pop!"—Aurelia was halfway through washing when the lights suddenly went out. She didn't know whether the entire villa was out of power or just the bathroom's circuit had tripped, so she shouted outside, "Mason, the power's out... Mason? Are you there?"
Aurelia suddenly felt a sense of danger, she fumbled to exit the bathroom, and as her hand touched the doorknob, the door unexpectedly swung open, and a tall figure slipped in, a strong grip cuffed her wrists above her head!
A domineering and tyrannical aura, with a hint of punishnt, pressed against her lips, the scorching breath aggressively invaded.
Aurelia struggled for a mont, quickly realizing to whom this familiar scent belonged.
"Night..." just as the word left her lips, the man's strong breath flooded in, entwining her, not allowing her to retreat, and another long arm wrapped around her lower back, pulling her tightly into his embrace.
What's wrong with Mason today?
Though he had been domineering before, he was never this forceful. It seed like he wanted to claim even her breath, this overwhelming possessiveness made her a bit... frightened.
"Mason..."
"Mason, stop..." Aurelia tried to stop him.
Mason's movents didn't cease.
His deep eyes locked onto her in the darkness, such an expression, such tenderness, filled with intense gentleness and love, contradicting what he was currently doing.
He lowered his head, a soft chuckle escaped Mason's throat, "Little wildcat."
