Aurelia rode Mason Nightshade’s car back to the set. Mason had an important eting in the morning, so he didn’t stay long and left after dropping her off, which made Aurelia breathe a sigh of relief.
Lately, their relationship has been getting out of hand. If it continues like this, how is she supposed to divorce Mason Nightshade?
To her, it was better to keep a distance from Mason for a while.
While applying makeup, Aurelia was lost in thought, resting her chin on her hand. Amanda Fuller looked at her multiple tis before finally unable to hold back and asked, "Aurelia, what are you thinking about?"
"Why is it that after being reborn, soone you don’t like suddenly started acting intimately with you?" Aurelia spoke her mind without thinking when Amanda asked, as she was deeply absorbed in thought.
Amanda was taken aback, thinking Aurelia might have been binge-reading so rebirth novels and was still imrsed in them. Reflecting on her years of novel-reading experience, she replied in a veteran tone, "Isn’t that simple? The usual trope in rebirth novels is, no matter what, the male lead doesn’t love her before rebirth, but after rebirth, the female lead starts ignoring the male lead, and he suddenly falls in love. Hmm... in novel terms, it’s about the novelty."
Novelty, huh?
Aurelia pondered over this phrase.
She recalled the events after her rebirth.
Indeed, she’s been increasingly indifferent to Mason Nightshade. Could it be because of this that it triggered Mason’s desire to conquer, thus causing him to act differently from before?
Aurelia suddenly realized and smacked the table with her hand, "That’s it, Amanda, you’re so smart."
Praised, Amanda was montarily stunned. Amused, she looked at Aurelia and shook her head: Ah, she’s indeed too absorbed in novels. I wonder if this state of hers will distract her during the shoot later.
Amanda was worried for Aurelia.
During the days they spent together, Amanda found that Aurelia wasn’t as cold and haughty as she initially thought. Rather, this girl seed cold on the outside but passionate inside; she appeared aloof, but she wasn’t bad at heart. She would never provoke others unless provoked, and if soone did provoke her, she would retaliate without holding back.
Amanda quite liked this personality of hers, clearly loving or hating, straightforwardly likable and admirable, sotis adorably sly.
She already treated Aurelia like her own sister.
"You." Amanda sighed and couldn’t help but advise her, "The shoot’s about to start, ponder over the scene you have to act, so you won’t forget your lines once the cara rolls."
Aurelia’s lips curled into a smile, her eyes arching into a beautiful curve, her soft makeup toned down her glamour, adding a touch of natural allure, her complexion like fine jade, radiantly beautiful, and her bright eyes sparkled with confident brilliance, "I won’t."
Hmm?
Amanda was montarily taken aback.
Won’t? Won’t forget her lines? Or perhaps... even without looking at the script, she would perform the role well?
In the past, Amanda might have thought Aurelia was overconfident, but ever since witnessing Aurelia’s performance yesterday, even after returning ho and lying on the bed, Amanda kept recalling the scene of Anne Hart’s last monts over and over in her mind. It took a whole day for the feeling of sorrow in her heart to dissipate a bit.
Feeling too depressed yesterday, she made a nuisance call to her older brother who was abroad, adamantly sent him the clandestinely recorded on-scene video, and strongly recomnded it to him.
