Early in the morning, Mark called her, asking if she had any free ti. Aurelia Shaw thought he must have already investigated her schedule before calling.
"I'm off today. Is there sothing you need?"
"Mason misses you. Just so happens I need to go to Lincheng today. Could I entrust Mason to you for the day?" Mark asked.
Thinking of the chubby little face of the little bun, Aurelia's heart lted, "Sure."
She paused thinking of sothing and asked, "What about Mark?"
She did not want to spend the day with Mark Campbell, who seed emotionless like a robot.
Seemingly knowing what she was worried about, Mark laughed and said, "Mark has so business at the company. He'll pick Mason up from you in the afternoon and won't take up too much of your ti."
"It won't take up any ti." Aurelia said with a smile, "It's no trouble for Mr. Campbell, I'll drop Mason off in the evening. I'll tidy up a bit, then I'll co over to get Mason."
"No need." Mark stopped her, "The car should be arriving soon."
A car? Arriving... arriving soon?
"Ding dong!" The doorbell rang.
Mrs. Rong opened the door and a chubby figure dashed in, mistaking her for Aurelia, and imdiately hugged her legs. Mrs. Rong was taken aback, glanced down at the soft little bun, her eyes crinkling into a smile, "Oh, whose child is this? So adorable."
The little bun heard her voice and realized he'd gotten the wrong person, promptly letting go.
Seeing Mrs. Rong's face, he backed away in terror, pressing against the wall, his eyes wide with caution, as if he had a pair of little fangs warning against anyone approaching.
Aurelia: "..."
Was Mark... acting first and reporting later?
"Little Bun." Aurelia gently called Mason Campbell.
Mason Campbell turned his head abruptly upon hearing the voice, his big eyes welled up with tearful blossoms, sprinting over to cling onto Aurelia's legs, holding on tightly.
"Missed ?" Seeing the little bun, Aurelia couldn't resist teasing him.
He was just too cute.
His wanting to speak but daring not to expression was unbearably cute.
Aurelia held him in her arms, sitting down, asking Mrs. Rong to prepare so food for children, she ruffled his hair teasing him, "Did you miss ?
If you don't say it then you didn't miss ."
"Oh." She sighed, "Turns out I was overthinking, you didn't miss at all. Fine, I won't co to see you anymore."
The little bun anxiously tightened his grip around Aurelia's neck, letting out incoherent noises from his throat, suddenly falling silent and quietly resting his head on Aurelia's shoulder.
Crying?
Did I go too far?
Aurelia was about to apologize when a soft, tender voice suddenly whispered near her ear, "I did."
"Muah!" Aurelia gave him a peck, "Auntie Aurelia misses you too."
Mason Campbell didn't expect her to suddenly kiss him; he froze for a mont, then his eyes lit up, staring at Aurelia, wanting to say sothing but pursing his lips without speaking.
"Do you want to kiss you again?" Aurelia saw through his thoughts.
Mason Campbell's cheeks blushed slightly, his little head nodding like a pecking chick, hesitating to et Aurelia's gaze, and when she didn't move, he let out a firm "Uh-huh!" from his throat.
Seemingly urging her to hurry.
Aurelia's movent to kiss him paused, her peach-blossom eyes reflecting a warm smile, "Muah!" landing on his chubby cheek.
"Co on, Auntie will take you to play sothing fun."
