Viscount Zhou lifted his chin. "Don't look at , I've got serious business to discuss with Aurelia Shaw. You, on the other hand… this is comrcial secrecy. Shouldn't you be stepping out?"
Mason Nightshade's face darkened a little. He brushed past him, sat down on the sofa, crossed his long legs, and casually picked up a magazine from beside him to read.
Looked like he had no intention of leaving.
Viscount Zhou gave an irritable snort and sat down opposite Aurelia. "These past few days I've been watching the movents on the Spencer side. The Spencer Family has been working on the entertainnt sector for a long ti—looks deep-rooted, but that's exactly where their weak spot is."
"Sure, they've got connections and a foundation, but in this era where audiences get bored fast, the Spencer Family's monopoly ans they've totally ignored keeping up with the tis. Those artists under Nico Spencer are all outdated and still acting like they're A-listers." Aurelia picked up where Viscount Zhou left off, crimson lips curved in a faint, ambiguous smile.
"Not long ago, a Spencer artist, Ethan He, got exposed for throwing his weight around on set, but Spencer quickly suppressed the story. They moved fast, but I still had people dig up a few photos."
Viscount Zhou handed the photos over.
"Well? Want to leak them?"
He knew Aurelia very well. Once she set her sights on prey, she never let go—she'd bite down until the other side was dead.
"Too early." Aurelia said lightly, tapping the table with a bent finger as if pondering sothing. "If they could suppress it once, they can suppress it a second ti. And this little scandal alone isn't enough to shake Spencer. If we're going hunting, it has to be a one-hit kill. Even if we don't finish them off, we have to bite hard enough that they can't get back up."
A strange, icy gleam flashed in her narrowed eyes.
Mason Nightshade put down the magazine and glanced over. She was actually making a move against the Spencer Family.
Then he said nothing, and continued reading the magazine in his hands.
Aurelia and Viscount Zhou finalized the follow-up plans. Viscount Zhou had originally planned to leave, but when he saw Mason sitting there, he suddenly changed his mind. "Let's have dinner together tonight."
"Sure…"
"She's busy tonight."
That "sure" hadn't even finished before Mason's calm voice cut in. He walked over, slipped an arm around her shoulders, and asked intimately, "You done here?"
Jealous again.
"You go take care of your other stuff first. I'll treat you another day." There was no helping it—if these two stayed together any longer, who knew if they'd end up fighting.
Viscount Zhou stared at Aurelia, aggrieved, his eyes practically accusing her: You heartless woman! Choosing a man over your friend! Using the donkey and then killing it! I'm not even fully used yet and you're already planning to toss aside.
After finishing his silent accusations, he saw that Aurelia had no intention of asking him to stay, so he left the office in a huff.
