The group leader for the Star Network’s solo broadcast rooms gave them a tour and the keys to their rooms.
Jiang Zheyu was assigned to 2024, aning room 24 on the twentieth floor.
Jiang Zheyu went through the motions, her body present but her mind elsewhere. She felt numb.
Before she knew it, evening had arrived.
"Now, I’ll take you to your cells," Xiang Wei said, taking a drag from his e-cigarette. He blew out a puff of smoke and led the group away.

Xiang Wei led them to the fifteenth floor. He pointed to a small, empty cell. "This one can just fit five people. The five of you will sleep here from now on."
Jiang Zheyu looked over and saw five mats and blankets laid out on the floor. The neighboring cages were arranged in the sa way.
The large room contained six small cells facing each other. With five people in each small cell, there were thirty people in the room altogether.

Jiang Zheyu was about to follow the other four Beastn into the cell.
"You stay. I have sothing to tell you." Xiang Wei pressed his hand on Jiang Zheyu’s shoulder again.
Confused and apprehensive, Jiang Zheyu turned around, her eyes downcast. "Brother Xiang, is there anything else you need?"
"Let’s talk outside." Xiang Wei glanced at Jiang Zheyu and walked out first.
Jiang Zheyu grew extrely anxious. ’This group leader... he doesn’t have any unsavory ideas about , does he?’
In the empty central corridor, the door to every room was shut tight. Through the large glass window at the end of the hall, the fading sunlight cast a swathe of brilliant yellow light onto the floor.
Xiang Wei adjusted his glasses, his gaze landing on the boy’s bright, pretty face. ’If he wore a wig and a dress, he’d look exactly like a female.’
"I have high hopes for you." Xiang Wei’s palm ca to rest on Jiang Zheyu’s shoulder again. He didn’t let go, but instead began to slowly rub her shoulder through her clothes.
Goosebumps prickled all over Jiang Zheyu’s skin.
"Thank you, Brother Xiang. I’ll work hard," Jiang Zheyu quickly replied.
"Don’t disappoint . That face of yours is a definite money-maker," Xiang Wei smiled. "You’ll be the next heavy hitter after Ah Bai."
"Of course, Ah Bai is incredible. I could never compare to a senior like him," Jiang Zheyu rushed to say modestly.
"Get a good rest. Do well on your trial broadcast tomorrow." As he spoke, the man lightly patted Jiang Zheyu’s cheek, then gave it a final stroke before slowly walking away.
After he was gone, Jiang Zheyu quickly scrubbed at her face. ’Oh my god, what a creep.’
She was wearing a simple Baise T-shirt and Hui casual pants.
The system’s Transformation Potion was very smart; it had even changed her clothes automatically when she transford. Back then, it was so dark and crowded that nobody had noticed.

Inside her cell, the four other Beastn had already picked out their sleeping spots.

Jiang Zheyu silently walked over and pulled her bedding away from the leak, but the spot next to it was also damp.
"D-do you want to pull your bedding over next to mine?" a timid-looking youth with delicate features asked Jiang Zheyu.
Jiang Zheyu’s eyes lit up, and she quickly nodded. Her spot was too damp.
"My na is Ache." The boy’s sky-blue eyes looked at her kindly.

Ache went over and helped Jiang Zheyu pull her bedding over.
The two of them could finally lie down on their mats and rest.
"I’m going to rest now. We have the broadcast tomorrow, after all," Ache said, giving Jiang Zheyu a strained, worried smile.
"Okay." Jiang Zheyu also felt exhausted from the day and wanted to rest.
She and Ache both lay down, but this was a cell for thirty people, not just the two of them.
The others were gathered in groups, chattering noisily.
Jiang Zheyu opened her eyes, realizing she couldn’t sleep. But she could already hear the steady breathing of Ache beside her.
