Before Jiang Zheyu could even speak, she sensed the tense atmosphere around her.
"Chief Judge Zexun, what do you an by that?" Feng Qi’s voice grew cold.
’Is he saying I’m not patient with Jiang Zheyu? That because I didn’t pick it out myself, it’s not a sincere gift?’
"I didn’t an anything by it." Zexun just gave a faint smile, his hand gently circling Jiang Zheyu’s wrist, right where she wore a bracelet.
"These are all just material things. It doesn’t matter whether you give gifts or not. It’s enough that you all genuinely care for ," Jiang Zheyu said hurriedly.
"A Yu is right," Zexun said, gently pinching Jiang Zheyu’s cheek.
Feng Qi hid the frenzied killing intent in his eyes and seized Jiang Zheyu’s other wrist. He said slowly, "Jiang Yuyu, in two months, I’ll be temporarily transferred to Zone -1. I’ll go with you. However long you stay in Zone -1, that’s how long I’ll be stationed there."
Jiang Zheyu had previously promised the Star Emperor that she would go to Zone -1 after the Zerg Race’s tide receded to help heal the Beastn with damaged spiritual power.
She nodded. "Okay."
"There’s nothing in Zone -1 that requires the services of the Chief Judge," Feng Qi said, looking at Zexun with an unreadable expression. "I suppose you should indeed make the most of the next two months you have left with Jiang Yuyu."
Zexun’s long lashes drooped, his face now devoid of expression. He looked quietly at Jiang Zheyu. "That’s not my domain, so I’m heartbroken I can’t go. We’ll be separated for a long ti again. For the remaining two months, can you stay by my side, A Yu?"
Jiang Zheyu pressed her lips together and sighed. "Okay."
’Whatever,’ Feng Qi thought. ’This guy only gets to be with Jiang Yuyu for two more months anyway. Once we’re in Zone -1, I’ll never have to see him again.’
’I’ll just put up with him for now.’
"Master, it’s ti to eat," Jiang Yi’s voice sounded from behind them.
Jiang Yi’s gaze fell upon the two Beastn gripping his master’s wrists, and his expression turned icy.
Jiang Zheyu quickly pulled her hands free and hurried away. "I’m going to eat now."
The two n watched as Jiang Zheyu walked toward the dining table.
They also started to walk toward the dining table.
Jiang Yi blocked their path, his voice cold. "Apologies, but I didn’t prepare any food for you. Please see yourselves out. Do not disturb the Master while she is eating."
Feng Qi frowned. "I had no intention of eating your food. I’m going to serve Jiang Yuyu her al."
With that, he pushed Jiang Yi’s hand aside and walked past him.
Zexun rely glanced at Jiang Yi without a word and also walked past him.
And so, at the dining table, just as Jiang Zheyu was about to pick up her spoon to have so soup, a slender hand beat her to it, picking up the spoon and bowl.
Feng Qi leaned in close, his dark eyes shining brightly. He gave her a passionate and infectious smile. "Jiang Yuyu, co on, let feed you."
Jiang Zheyu: "..."
"I can really do it myself," Jiang Zheyu said, reaching for the bowl.
But Feng Qi declared righteously, "Serving our Female Master is the duty of us Beast Husbands. Therefore, our Female Master need not exert herself."
Jiang Zheyu fell silent for a mont. ’It’s not like this is much of an exertion, though.’
In the end, with mixed feelings, Jiang Zheyu drank the spoonful of soup Feng Qi offered her.
"A Yu, have so of this," Zexun said gently, picking up a dumpling with his chopsticks and holding it to Jiang Zheyu’s lips.
Jiang Zheyu felt like a giant, helpless baby, being personally fed by everyone around her.
"I’ll do it, I’ll do it myself," Jiang Zheyu said, mortified, as she tried to take the chopsticks.
But Zexun held her hand, smiling gently. "A Yu, go on and eat. It won’t taste as good if it gets cold."
The fragrant dumpling was still hovering by her lips.
Jiang Zheyu silently opened her mouth and ate it.
’Every single one of them refuses to let do it myself.’
Jiang Zheyu: "..."
’This makes feel like soone who can’t take care of herself.’
Jiang Yi stood behind them, watching the two n fawning over his master. A cold sneer touched the corner of his lips.
’He was the one who made all this food.’
’He should have been the one feeding her, but these two had taken the spots on both sides of his master, leaving no room for Jiang Yi to squeeze in.’
Standing behind them, Jiang Yi stared darkly, like a diseased, morbidly damp mushroom.
’Right now, he wished more than anything that these two would just disappear from his sight.’
For Jiang Zheyu, even eating a single al felt like facing a formidable enemy.
The gazes of two or three n were all fixed on her.
’Having too many n is such a hassle.’
’In the future, I can’t give in to temptation and take on any more n.’
Jiang Zheyu wanted to cry but had no tears.
’Truly, a happy problem to have.’
「That evening.」
Jiang Zheyu looked at the three n blocking her doorway, as if they were silently asking her who she would choose to warm her bed tonight.
"Jiang Yuyu, let warm your bed tonight," Feng Qi said, his dark eyes fixed on Jiang Zheyu.
"A Yu, we only have two months left together. Won’t you choose ?" Zexun’s exquisite face also looked at her quietly. His red eyes were full of expectation, as if they would fill with disappointnt if she didn’t choose him. "I don’t know when I’ll get to see you again after this."
"Master..." Jiang Yi also looked softly at Jiang Zheyu.
Jiang Zheyu looked at the three handso n before her. ’So this is what it feels like to be an emperor?’
’I even have to flip a tablet to choose a consort for the night.’
As her mind wandered, Jiang Zheyu thought about how she might not be able to see Zexun again once she went to Zone -1. In the end, she silently walked forward, gently took Zexun’s hand, and led him into the room.
Seeing this, Feng Qi froze on the spot. A fire of jealousy erupted within him; he desperately wanted to charge in there and beat the crap out of Zexun.
He clenched his fists tightly.
’That guy’s good days will only last these two months.’
Feng Qi’s expression darkened as he turned and left.
Jiang Yi’s pink eyes were also filled with a cold chill as he silently turned and left.
「Inside the room.」
After Jiang Zheyu finished washing up, Zexun pulled her to sit on the bed.
He picked up the hairdryer and began to gently dry her hair.
His slender fingers ran through her hair.
Under the hum of the hairdryer, Jiang Zheyu grew drowsy, her head starting to nod.
Zexun looked at her and chuckled softly. A huge, fluffy red tail erged. "Lie down on my tail."
Jiang Zheyu, her eyes half-open, saw the big, fluffy tail and felt that it would be incredibly comfortable to lie on.
"Okay." Jiang Zheyu leaned her upper body onto the huge, fluffy red tail.
Zexun continued to dry her still-damp hair.
