"What's going on?"
"Why isn't he moving?"
"Could there really be jade?"
With the sound of this suspicion, everyone around also turned to look, once again filled with anticipation.
The smiles on Wu and Lei's faces froze as they both looked at the old man.
Could there really be jade?
"Even if there is jade, its value won't exceed mine." Wu sneered.
Everyone's eyes were focused on the old man cutting the jade, so even shouting: "Is there green or not? Is there green or not?"
The people around were all watching, and the old man beca cautious. He started cutting along the edges, cutting little by little, and then tapped a weak spot with a tool. Suddenly, the weathered layer fell off, revealing a piece of jade as smooth as white fat to everyone.
This ti, everyone was stunned.
"Oh my God, this jade is top-notch! Look at the color, the structure and texture..." soone exclaid around.
The old man's eyes also lit up, while Lei and Wu were a bit uncertain and suspicious.
The jade, from its appearance, was indeed top-grade.
"How can it be top-grade? Never mind the size and volu of the jade, can its value exceed mine?" Wu still sneered.
But now no one cared about him, everyone was looking at the old man, hoping he could cut faster.
The old man was careful, but his movents were really too slow.
"Hurry up!" soone urged from the crowd.
"It's hard to make a move; it's stuck together inside, and separating them might damage the jade," the old man said.
"Let do it."
Ren Feng spoke calmly and walked over.
Everyone looked at Ren Feng, not knowing what he intended to do.
Arriving beside the rough stone, Ren Feng gently pressed it, and True Qi spread into the jade piece, wrapping around the entire jade. In an instant, True Qi trembled.
"It's done."
Ren Feng released his hand, and everyone around looked at him, bewildered. Just like that, it's done?
But at that mont, the rough stone suddenly began to shed, piece by piece, as the weathered layer fell off, finally revealing the jade inside.
"This is..."
Soone stood there, mouth agape, looking at the exposed jade.
"No, this is impossible!"
Wu's face turned ashen, utterly incredulous as he stared at the piece of jade.
Lei was also stunned, forgetting to twirl the jade ball in his hand. Not far away, Lu Yucheng was equally dumbfounded.
Because what appeared before everyone's eyes was a piece of immaculate white jade!
Pure and flawless, like smooth cream, it seed as though a faint glow emanated from it.
"This is Hetian jade! The best of jade!"
"Not only that, this should be the best of the best, the mutton-fat jade from within Hetian jade!"
Everyone around exclaid, and so with sharp eyes imdiately identified the type of this jade piece.
The old man cutting the jade trembled as he caressed the jade as if he were touching his lover.
Lu Yucheng took a deep breath; Lei and Wu retreated a step, seemingly in disbelief.
This jade was simply too exquisite, and its shape was oval, large, larger than any jade before. Such a perfect piece, undamaged, and mutton-fat jade at that, its price was astronomical!
"How much is this worth?"
Soone around stared blankly at the jade, seemingly in disbelief.
"I estimate, nothing less than tens of millions."
"Are you dreaming? The Lu Family wouldn't sell this piece at just tens of millions. If it were auctioned, it could fetch at least several billion!" Soone else swallowed excitedly. "And if a master were to carve it, it would fetch an astronomical price!"
Everyone was silent for a mont, when suddenly soone shouted loudly, "Young man, are you selling this jade? I'll offer fifty million!"
"I want it, I'll pay sixty million!"
Suddenly, the surrounding rchants went mad. Owning such a piece of jade would be a treasure worthy of any shop.
Lu Yucheng burst into laughter; he didn't expect that a situation nearing defeat would be reversed single-handedly by Ren Feng.
With this, there was no need for force; the initiative returned to the Lu Family.
Wu's face was deathly pale; he was in disbelief that soone would casually pick up the overlooked rough stone and cut out mutton-fat jade.
Are you mocking ?
How is this possible? Is this a cheat?
Ren Feng indeed seed to be cheating; his ability to see through allowed him to spot the jade hidden inside the rough stone. Having encountered jade stones before, he knew which were the most valuable, so he chose this one directly.
"Wu, Lei, what do you think of the value of this jade?"
Lu Yucheng's face resud its smile.
"Impossible!" Lei continued to shake his head.
"A bet must be honored, Lei. If you don't acknowledge it, it won't bode well for your reputation. In this line of work, credibility is crucial."
Lu Yucheng felt elated, returning the words they had used before.
Wu's eyes flashed a cold glint, and with a sudden wave of his hand, the n behind him took out their weapons.
"Mr. Lu, even if you've won, the item I ntioned earlier, you have to give it to !"
Lei's side did the sa, with his n pulling out knives and the like.
"Ah!"
The surrounding rchants shouted, panic-stricken.
"Everyone upstairs!" Lei shouted, "This is a grudge between us and the Lu family, not involving you."
The rchants went upstairs, and the Lu Family mbers dared not move because Lei's n had guns.
"Mr. Lu, who would have thought, the stone gamble was just a way for you to avoid embarrassnt. Since you didn't choose this way, we have no choice but to resort to force."
The Lu Family mbers dared not move. Wu chuckled and was about to give the order when suddenly a panicked person rushed in from outside.
"Mr. Lu, it's bad, the Kachin Rebel Army is here!"
"What?"
Lu Yucheng was shocked, and so were Wu and Lei, as well as so rchants not far away.
Why would the Kachin Rebel Army co here? This is the border; it's not even their usual area of activity.
"Well then, Wu, Reacher, you two have colluded with foreign rebels to plot against our Lu Family!"
Suddenly, Lu Yucheng pointed angrily at the two, his voice echoing through the entire floor.
"Attack! These people are collaborating with foreign rebels to oppress their own people, a cri unforgivable!" Lu Yucheng shouted angrily.
