Chapter 105 – 97 Sun Family Seeks Help_1

After clearing the battlefield and ensuring nothing was overlooked, Lin Tianming and his two companions continued on their way towards the Green-Red Mantis’s cave.

After nearly ten days of searching, they finally achieved so results. After calculations, the points they had obtained amounted to over nineteen hundred, which was quite satisfying. The three of them finally breathed a sigh of relief.

As for the cave of the Green-Red Mantis, it had yet to be explored; they should be able to find so treasures there, which brought a hint of a smile to their faces.

Once they had cald their emotions, the group headed into the valley.

In the ti it takes to drink a cup of tea, the three of them arrived deep in the valley.

Looking around, they could see over a dozen caves of various sizes scattered at the base of the mountain, presumably the habitat of the Green-Red Mantis.

Out of caution, the three did not rashly enter the serene depths of the valley.

Lin Tianming took out the Earth Evil Sword, sending a slash of Sword Qi flying towards the interior of a cave.

After a mont, other than a few sharp collision noises from within the cave, there was no other activity.

After waiting for nearly half a quarter hour and seeing nothing unusual, Lin Tianming spoke.

“Uncle, Tianfeng, let’s each enter a cave and quickly take whatever useful items we can find. We have limited ti and must continue hunting demonic beasts,” he said.

“Alright, everyone be careful!”

The other two had no objections and each began to act, with Lin Tianming choosing a cave and entering.

Once inside, he found the cave quite spacious; even with several people walking side by side, it wouldn’t feel crowded.

They walked deeper along the cave’s passage.

Only after traversing several dozen yards did they reach the end.

In the pitch-black depths of the cave, Lin Tianming carefully observed his surroundings.

He saw that within a space of several yards, there were more than ten snow-white stones scattered in a small pit, each one the size of a fist and completely white.

“Snow Saliva Crystals!”

Snow Saliva Crystals were First Order Spiritual Materials, ford from the condensed body fluids of the Green-Red Mantis. Each piece was worth over twenty Spirit Stones; they were widely used in alchemy and artifact refining, with many elixirs requiring them, and could be added in small quantities to artifacts to increase their properties.

Lin Tianming quickly collected the Snow Saliva Crystals and exited the cave to search another one.

After half an hour, the group had searched all the caves and totaled eighty-eight Snow Saliva Crystals, with a combined value exceeding seventeen hundred Spirit Stones.

The three distributed the Snow Saliva Crystals on the spot. Lin Tianming, having exerted the most effort, received thirty-eight, Lin Xingyu got twenty-eight, and Lin Tianfeng got twenty-two.

The three of them shared a satisfied smile over their haul.

After distributing their loot, Lin Xingyu spoke up and asked,

“Tianming, where to next, what’s the plan?”

Prompted by Lin Xingyu’s question, Lin Tianming began to think.

With twenty days left until the end of the hunt, their haul was decent, but they didn’t take it lightly. After all, Jin Family’s hunting team was much more formidable.

Apart from Jin Qishan, the other two mbers were above the Ninth Layer of Qi Refining. With such strength, as long as they didn’t provoke Second Order Demonic Beasts, even if they encountered a powerful Demon Beast Tribe, it wouldn’t be difficult to flee if they couldn’t fight, posing little risk.

In contrast, the Lin Family’s team had varied levels of cultivation; Lin Tianfeng was slightly lower, which caused so difficulty when faced with tribes with many First Order Late Stage beasts, relying entirely on Lin Tianming to hold the fort.

He Heaved a sigh,

Lin Tianming said, “Ti waits for no one, we can only go deeper to find suitable Demon Beast Tribes and try to obtain as many points as possible.”

“The Jin Family’s strength is a fact, but demonic beasts are not easy to find. Even if the Jin’s are the strongest, they are not guaranteed winners. Anyway, we need to be quick. Aside from necessary healing and cultivation, we must kill more demonic beasts as soon as possible.”

The words of Lin Tianming allowed the other two to relax a little. Since they had entered the competition, they naturally aid to co first, as it involved forty percent of the market’s fifty-year profits, a large amount of Spirit Stones that they could not afford to give up.

Having made up their minds, the three set off again, heading at a fast pace deeper into the heartland, and within a short ti, they disappeared into the jungle.

Just after Lin Tianming and his two companions had left, in less than the ti it took to brew a cup of tea, a man dressed in black appeared where the three had just been.

The man in black arrived at the site of the skirmish and inspected the traces carefully. Although the remnants had been cleaned up and covered by the trio, he managed to find so clues.

“At last, I’ve found you!”

The figure in black muttered to himself and, looking in the direction the three had gone, set off in pursuit once again.

Ti flew by, and half a month passed.

In a valley, Lin Tianming and his two companions stood on a small hill, gazing thoughtfully at the vast marshland below.

At this point, Lin Tianming and the other two looked extrely weary, with several wounds of varying depth on their bodies that had yet to heal.

For half a month, the trio did not relax for a mont. They had searched a region spanning hundreds of miles, hunting demonic beasts during the day and resting to heal their wounds at night.

In that half-month period, they had gone through three major battles, each one perilously close to death. They had all been injured multiple tis, with Lin Tianfeng nearly losing his life on one occasion.

Fortunately, Lin Tianming’s sword array was extrely powerful, capable of attack, defense, and entrapnt. Against low-order demonic beasts with limited spirit wisdom, it was highly effective; otherwise, they might have already perished under the onslaught of the beasts.

Despite the near death experiences, their gains were significant. They had slain more than twenty late-stage First Order demonic beasts and even more than a hundred of the mid-stage variety, accumulating over seven thousand points. Several storage bags were brimming with the bodies of the beasts.

In addition to the bodies of the demonic beasts, they had collected an imnse amount of Spirit dicine and Spirit Ore, which were likely worth thousands of Spirit Stones when added up—an indeed plentiful haul.

With only five days left until the deadline for the grand beast-hunting competition, they had traversed an area of several hundred square miles.

Curiously, for so reason, the trio had not encountered a single team from any of the five great families, nor had they even found a trace, which was quite surprising to Lin Tianming.

Perhaps the reason was that the Luoyun Mountain Range was simply too vast, spanning thousands of miles, with the outer periter and the area near the interior totaling more than two thousand square miles. The likelihood of encountering soone was indeed not great.

Continue your adventure with empire

Lin Tianming speculated silently in his heart.

Seeing that it was getting late and not suitable for traveling, he turned to Lin Xingyu and said,

“Uncle, let’s rest here for the night and set off again tomorrow.”

Lin Xingyu, looking visibly exhausted, readily agreed.

Just as the three of them were preparing to descend the hill, several black dots appeared on the horizon, flying towards them.

As they drew closer, it was not clear what their intentions were.

The trio’s expressions tensed, each grabbing their Spiritual Artifacts and hiding behind the hilltop, ready for a potential threat.

Lin Xingyu, watching the approaching dots, muttered softly,

“Who has such audacity to fly with a sword in the heart of the Luoyun Mountain Range? Could it be a senior in the Foundation Establishnt Stage?”

Another dozen breaths passed, and the dots grew nearer, the fleeing figures now less than a few hundred yards from the hilltop.

On closer inspection, they recognized the frantically fleeing individuals as Sun Ruiqing and Sun Chuan Yong from the Sun Family.

Lin Tianming, realizing this first, felt his heart sink, and began to speculate.

“The Sun Family mbers must have encountered cultivators from the Jin Family and are now being chased!”

Since they had already been spotted, it was too late to hide. All they could do was join forces with the last two mbers of the Sun Family for a desperate fight.

Quickly, based on the information he had, Lin Tianming surmised the cause.

Since the Jin Family had made their move, he couldn’t just sit and await death. After saying this, he took out the Earth Evil Sword and started to set it up stealthily.

Sun Ruiqing, getting closer, was overjoyed to see Lin Tianming and his group while still in mid-air. He quickly shouted,

“Lin, save us!”
