After putting Lin Yanxi back in her room, Ding Fan began to continue his alchemy.

Because he was using the cauldron they had purchased at the antique market during the day with Lin Yanxi, the speed of his alchemy had increased several folds. What would have taken days to refine was now successfully refined by him in just a few hours.

Ding Fan was actually quite pleased. Just this cauldron alone, if placed in the Cultivation World, would definitely be worth a fortune, but on Earth, it only cost eighty thousand. This was simply a steal.

At this ti, Ding Fan checked the ti and realized that it was already around midnight. He stood up and stretched his back.

But just then, an extrely dangerous aura surged up.

Having experienced the Cultivation World's mountains of corpses and seas of blood, Ding Fan had a sensitivity to danger that far surpassed that of ordinary people.

Very cautiously, Ding Fan moved his feet and went to the corner of the room. Then, he extended his Divine Sense outward.

Under the sweep of Ding Fan's Divine Sense, he quickly noticed sothing outside the villa. In a car not far from the villa, two people were sitting there, surveilling him.

The auras of those two people were not weak; such an aura could only belong to those who had truly killed before. From this, it was clear that both individuals were likely assassins.

Ding Fan was staying at the Lin Family's villa, and although he couldn't determine which of them was the intended target, since they had appeared here, their target should be inside the villa.

The Lin siblings had a good relationship with Ding Fan, so, no matter if they were targeting him or not, Ding Fan was prepared to go out and et them.

...

Inside the car outside the Lin Family villa.

"Zhunxing, the higher-ups have confird that Ding Fan is staying here right now. The boss has ordered that he must be taken care of tonight," said a scar-faced man sitting in the car, his voice calm.

The man known as Scar was muscular with an aura of ferocity emanating from his body.

The one called Zhunxing was a slim and tall man. "Scar, he's just a wastrel, just kill him and be done with it..."

"I don't know what the boss is thinking, killing such a useless guy, and yet they had to deploy both of us..." Scar, touching the ring with a Red Spider engraving on his left hand with his right, spoke with so dissatisfaction.

If anyone could recognize the ring engraved with the Red Spider, they would definitely be able to guess the identities of these two n.

These two were mbers of the Red Spider, a notorious assassin organization in Yahuan State.

In the Assassin realm, hardly anyone who hears the na 'Red Spider' doesn't shudder. Any job taken by the Red Spider is almost always completed. Once, the Pri Minister of a nation in the Philippines and West Asia was assassinated by a mber of the Red Spider. Once targeted by the Red Spider, even if you're the head of a nation, you cannot escape your fate...

Zhunxing and Scar were among the elite in the organization, a few of the Red Spider's ace killers. This was the reason they were complaining about being sent to kill a re wastrel.

Zhunxing glanced at his watch. "It's almost ti, let's finish this early and get so rest."

Scar nodded. "You wait in the car. I can handle killing a waste by myself."

As Scar was about to get up, a discordant voice said from the side,

"No need for you to go inside, I'm right here."

Upon hearing this voice, both Scar and Zhunxing were stunned. The voice had co from the car's back seat, yet earlier, they had not noticed anyone there.

Turning their heads to look, they found that Ding Fan was seated there, though they did not know when he had arrived.

"How did you get in the car?" Scar asked Ding Fan, a look of confusion on his face.

As assassins, they had a strong sense of perception. Normally, there was no way that soone could get in the car without them noticing.

"Who sent you guys?" Ding Fan did not bother to address Scar's question and asked indifferently from the side.

Scar's brow furrowed slightly, and then suddenly he reached into his chest, pulling out a gun the very next second. Almost imdiately after aiming it at Ding Fan, Scar pulled the trigger.

In Scar's mind, the distance between him and Ding Fan was less than a ter. At this range, his shot would hit, and Ding Fan would have no chance to dodge and would be shot to death.

Bang... The gunshot was indeed very loud, jarring people's eardrums.

However, the scene Scar had imagined, of Ding Fan being fatally shot, did not occur. At this mont, there was no sign of injury on Ding Fan as he extended two fingers, pinching a bullet between them.

Oh my God!

Seeing this scene, not only was Scar shocked, but even the always composed Zhunxing was dumbfounded. What was this situation!? Could this be real?

"Damn it, die!" After being taken aback, Scar went to pull the trigger again.

However, just as Scar's gun had not yet made a sound, a sharp noise of air being cleaved suddenly rang out.

```
Thud... Following that, a spurt of blood sprayed from Scar-faced man's shoulder, shot through in an instant.
Scar hardly even understood what had happened before his shoulder was pierced straight through...
Oh my, that's brutal.
Zhunxing was completely dumbfounded at that mont. He had seen Ding Fan's action clearly. Ding Fan had rely flicked his finger, yet with that gesture, the bullet went straight through Scar's shoulder. The force behind Ding Fan's flick had apparently exceeded the power of a gun.
"I don't want to ask the sa question a second ti. Who sent you?" Ding Fan asked indifferently.
Scar and Zhunxing exchanged a glance, and then neither of them said another word.
It's an assassin's rule never to reveal their employer or the organization's information, and although Ding Fan was displaying overwhelming strength, they still didn't dare to speak. They knew that if they were to reveal anything, their deaths would be especially grueso in the future.
Whoosh… Just as the two n were in a daze, Ding Fan's right hand transford into a blade, sweeping past Scar's ear.
Scar instantly felt a chill by his earlobe, and he hurriedly reached to feel it, only to find that he could no longer feel his ear at all. Instead, a sticky blood trail was left where his ear had been, and looking down, he saw his ear had been cleanly sliced off, lying on the ground...
Both Scar and Zhunxing felt a chill in their hearts. Not even a dagger could do this, yet Ding Fan's palm was as sharp as a blade...
"You can keep quiet, but I'll chop you into pieces one by one..." Ding Fan spoke in a flat tone, entirely devoid of emotion.
"I... I'll talk..."
By now, Scar, who had been silent all this while, was getting restless.
Ding Fan had boarded the car undetected, caught a bullet barehanded, and then chopped off his ear with a hand blade... At this point, Scar did not doubt for a second that Ding Fan was joking. He could tell that Ding Fan was a beast. If he said he would do sothing, then he definitely would carry it through.
"We're from Red Spider. The Yanjing Royal Family wants you dead..."
Ding Fan's brows furrowed slightly; the Yanjing Royal Family really was persistent. The host Ding Family had been destroyed by the Wang Family, who had since attempted to kill him several tis. Now, even though he had reached Honggang City, they still hadn't planned to let him go.
From Dancheng to Dongcheng, from Dongcheng to Changan Ridge, and then from Changan Ridge they had chased him here...
There was a thick murderous intent in Ding Fan's eyes. Although his cultivation was not high at the mont, there was no reason for him to be hunted down like a Mourning Dog. Even a cornered rabbit will bite; all the more for Ding Fan now.
"Are the people lurking outside also yours?" Ding Fan asked.
Apart from Scar and Zhunxing, there was another group of people monitoring the vicinity of the Lin Family's villa, but they were much more amateurish, which is why Ding Fan had not bothered with them before.
"Those people aren't with us. We have no idea..." Scar rushed in fear that if he answered too slowly, he would lose another part of his body.
Ding Fan pondered for a mont, and then turned to Zhunxing. "I'll give you so ti to deal with those lurking n. Before you do, I need to know who sent them."
Zhunxing did not expect Ding Fan would send him on this task. However, he dared not waste ti with words. He got out of the car and, after a few leaps, vanished into the night.
It took approximately fifteen minutes before Zhunxing returned.
The two n in ambush had no real strength; how could they stand up to ace assassins? Therefore, it took no more than fifteen minutes to kill, destroy the bodies, and erase all traces in one go.
"Senior, all those n belong to the Hong gang. I have already clarified this for you, senior. They were sent by soone nad Huang Jian."
Huang Jian?!
Ding Fan's face grew darker.
"Senior, we never intended to offend you. Please spare us..." Zhunxing said from the side. "If you would show us rcy and let us go, from now on, whatever concerns you will be Red Spider's concern. Should you command us, we would serve with our full dedication..."
Ding Fan glanced at Zhunxing. "Do you think I will let you go?"
When Zhunxing t Ding Fan's gaze, a shiver ran down his spine. He had seen life and death, but in the face of Ding Fan's gaze, he felt as if he had fallen into an ice cellar. His entire body was chilled.
"Senior, it would be effortless for you to kill us. If you want to kill us, nobody could stop you, and we don't have any bargaining chips. But senior, instead of taking our lowly lives, why not keep us alive to do things for you? With your abilities, we would never dare to say one thing and an another..."
Ding Fan actually looked at Zhunxing with a hint of appreciation.
If Zhunxing had shown himself to be a coward, only fearful of death, Ding Fan would not have hesitated and would have killed him on the spot.
But Zhunxing, at this critical juncture, spoke candidly, and his words hit the nail on the head.
"Can you really speak for Red Spider?" Ding Fan inquired.
"Senior, Scar and I are two of the three Red Spider aces. Our boss will definitely listen to us."
"Alright then, see to Huang Jian's matter first before we discuss further," Ding Fan said indifferently.
