Following Su Qinger's directions, the police dispatched two more teams to search for Ding Fan.
Due to the ambulance's breakdown, Su Qinger and the others were not taken away imdiately. At this mont, all they could do was wait inside the broken ambulance for the next one. During this ti, Su Qinger talked non-stop about what had happened recently.
Ding Fan had intervened, killing soone from Japan. Later, he took her and fled the forest. However, she notably omitted the part about Ding Fan treating her wounds.
Ding Fan had sucked the poison from the root of her thigh with his mouth, which was just too embarrassing to even think about, let alone ntion.
"Without Brother Fan, I wouldn't have made it out," Su Qinger concluded her story with this sentence.
When Su Qinger spoke of Ding Fan saving her, Su Maner's face turned inexplicably red, and at this mont, she furrowed her brow.
Su Maner knew her sister's temperant well; although she was not particularly warm to boys, Su Qinger sohow showed a demure side around Ding Fan.
Recalling how Ding Fan had tried to get close to her in the taxi, she was relieved of so guilt over his apparent death. If Ding Fan had lived, he might have bewitched her sister.
"In the future, don't easily trust others, after all, appearances can be deceiving," Su Maner advised.
She primarily wanted to remind Su Qinger to be cautious in her future interactions.
"Got it," Su Qinger nodded, oblivious to her sister's concerns.
Shortly after, the ambulance had arrived. Although Su Qinger wanted to wait for news of the search for Ding Fan before leaving, Su Maner disagreed. Unable to persuade her sister, Su Qinger instructed the police officers to inform her as soon as they had news on Ding Fan.
Su Maner followed the dical staff as they helped Su Qinger into the ambulance. She chose not to ntion to Su Qinger that Ding Fan was already dead. After the long ordeal in the forest, she didn't want her sister to undergo more emotional turmoil and decided to talk things over with her after so ti.
anwhile, in an SUV parked nearby:
"Young Master Luohao, Mr. He's GPS signal has been lost. What should we do?" the driver in a suit asked.
Wang Luohao pondered for a mont, "Send soone to check what happened at the last location where He Chen's GPS was active."
"Young Master Luohao, shall we wait here then?"
"Let's go to Dancheng and wait for the news there. A good-for-nothing who can both heal and kill — I actually want to visit his ho to see if that guy really had so adventures," Wang Luohao said indifferently.
"Yes..."
"Find so capable people, we must see the body, dead or alive!"
...
Ding Fan had hidden himself. After his battle with He Chen, he had lost a lot of True Qi. Relying on the Spiritstone Essence he had obtained, he had cultivated crazily through the night, filling his body up with True Qi again.
After a night of cultivation, Ding Fan was a bit hungry. After eating so compressed biscuits, he stepped out of the Concealnt Formation. He planned to select a cave and stay hidden until he reached the Fifth Level of Qi Cultivation. The Spiritual Energy from the Spiritstone Essence would definitely support his cultivation until then.
"Where did that brat He Chen die off to? He boasted that he would kill Ding Fan within three days. Today is the fourth day; he probably doesn't have the face to et Young Master Luohao now, so he must have left without saying goodbye."
"That stupid jerk should at least tell Young Master Luohao whether that damned Ding Fan is dead or not. Now look at us, doing all the grunt work, having to weave through these mountain gullies for nothing."
...
At that ti, the voices of the two n were getting closer to Ding Fan.
Ding Fan could now confirm that these two were also sent by Luohao. At that mont, a trace of ruthlessness flickered across his eyes. Wang Luohao was ruthless enough; to kill him, he would recruit not only assassins but also practitioners of Ancient Martial Arts. It seed Ding Fan needed to settle his scores with Wang Luohao properly.
The two n had not yet noticed that they had caught Ding Fan's attention. Suddenly, a figure appeared abruptly. The two n were startled, and before they could understand what had happened, they were flung backward.
Plop, plop!
The two n faced a harsh fall.
Lying on the ground, they didn't understand how they had been thrown back. At that mont, Ding Fan had already approached them.
"I have so questions for you," Ding Fan said in an even tone, devoid of any emotion.
"Are you human or a ghost?" one of the chubby n asked, clearly bewildered. In his eyes, how could a human use such demon-like arts? If it weren't for such arts, how could they have been thrown back all of a sudden?
Swoosh... A flash of sword light suddenly swept by. The chubby man only saw a blur before feeling a coolness on his nose. He jumped in fright, and when he reached up to touch his nose, he burst into tears—the other had sliced off his nose with a single stroke of the sword.
"I don't have the patience to waste words. I'll ask a question, and you answer; otherwise, I'll turn you into human sticks," Ding Fan's soft sword vibrated, emitting a dragon-like chant as it buzzed.
The two people lying on the ground dared not say no at this point; the beast had co up and cut off soone's nose—they certainly didn't doubt Ding Fan's words.
"Where is Wang Luohao now?" Ding Fan asked.
"Young Master Luohao has gone to Dancheng; I was right beside him when he left," said the noseless chubby boy, afraid of being too slow and quickly spoke.
"Dancheng? What is he doing in Dancheng?" Ding Fan was sowhat surprised. Deep down, he even felt a bit uneasy.
"He said he wanted to check out where Ding Fan lives. Young Master Luohao said Ding Fan must have had so strange encounter, otherwise how could a useless person be able to cure diseases and kill people..."
Ding Fan's brow furrowed. When he had left his ho in Dancheng, Zhou Ruoran had ntioned that he would also be going for a postgraduate study interview. If Zhou Ruoran had left, then that villa should be empty.
But...but what if Zhou Ruoran was at ho? What would Wang Luohao do to her?
"Big brother, we have no grudge against you; please, just let us go," the noseless chubby boy begged pitifully from the ground.
"My na is Ding Fan; you two entered the forest just to find . At this ti, you claim we have no grudge?" Ding Fan said indifferently.
"Ding Fan?!"
The two n lying on the ground were almost dumbfounded. Ding Fan was known as nothing more than a prodigal son who indulged in won and wine; they could never connect this decisive, ruthless figure in front of them with that wastrel.
"How many people did Wang Luohao send to kill ?" Ding Fan asked calmly.
Ding Fan indeed wanted to know how many strong practitioners there were besides He Chen. With his low cultivation, he wanted to prepare by knowing his enemy as well as himself before encountering Wang Luohao.
"He Chen from the He Family of Hao Mountain, and three professional assassins."
Ding Fan nodded. He had killed He Chen, and one of the assassins had also been crippled by him; there were no more big nas on that side.
"Brother Fan, we were just running errands; please let us go..."
"Yes, Brother Fan..."
At that mont, Ding Fan couldn't care less about hearing them out; he already knew what he needed to. With a swing of his soft sword, he swiftly slit the throats of the two n lying on the ground.
Right now, Ding Fan did not have the luxury of being rciful to his enemies. Moreover, he believed that if these two had overpowered him, they certainly wouldn't have spared his life had he begged for rcy.
Having killed the two n, Ding Fan executed the Fireball Technique, instantly incinerating their bodies.
Currently, Ding Fan's cultivation wasn't high. If his cultivation were higher, a single Fireball Technique could have turned a person into ashes instantly.
Originally, Ding Fan had planned to train inside the mountain until he reached the Fifth Level of Qi Cultivation, but now that seed impossible; with Wang Luohao going to Dancheng, and Ding Fan uncertain whether Zhou Ruoran would be safe, he felt compelled to return to Dancheng.
Without further delay, Ding Fan sheathed his soft sword and hurried down the mountain.
Since there were no villages around Immortal's Peak, it took Ding Fan over an hour to walk out and reach a small town.
Possibly because the town was too small, there were no long-distance taxi services available; thus, Ding Fan had no choice but to take a van that went to Huai City every afternoon.
Ding Fan planned to get to Huai City, then find another car to go directly back to Dancheng.
Fortuitously, when Ding Fan arrived at the van station after making so inquiries, the van was just about to leave.
The van wasn't very crowded; Ding Fan found a seat by the window. However, once he boarded, he slled a fragrance of herbs.
Following the scent, Ding Fan saw a girl, about eighteen or nineteen years old, sitting in the back. The girl had a delicate face with tender cheeks, elegant eyes, and moist lips. Although her clothes seed simple, they could not hide her beauty.
Next to her was a bamboo basket from which the herbal scent was emanating.
At that mont, the girl was intently consulting a list of herbs, apparently calculating sothing. Ding Fan found his gaze involuntarily drawn to her.
Ding Fan had no particular interest in the girl, but what caught his attention was an ancient ring on a red string around her neck.
The ring was a lush green, clearly aged.
The main reason Ding Fan fixated on the ring was that it wasn't an ordinary one; it was clearly a storage ring from the Cultivation World.
Ding Fan had been carrying a large travel bag and had been wishing to have a storage ring; now, one appeared right before him.
However, since the girl was wearing it that way, it must be a treasure to her; he doubted she would sell it, even for money.
