576: Code Name— King 576: Code Name— King If you ask who’s the most familiar person with the Baiyu Cruise, of course, it’s the old captain who’s worked here for thirty years.
Walking map…
that’s another nickname the old captain has among the crew.
No one knows this ship better than the old captain—right now, with a black duffle bag in hand, he’s quietly stepping into a spiral staircase.
Opening the fire door, Mu Enli is just about to head up when another call es in.
A crew member tells him the power room on the control deck has been sabotaged, even the backup supply has been cut.
The whole control room is dead in the water.
The old captain frowns but still climbs the stairs, even raising his voice on purpose while talking on the phone: “Don’t panic.
Get someone to fix the power room now.
Since we’re docked at Shellfish Island, it’ll take some time.
While we’re waiting, see how much you can fix quickly…
I’ll be over to check soon.”
Talking as he walks, Mu Enli reaches the end of the stairs, opens the fire door, and leaves.
As the door swings shut, down on the steps, a shadow pressed against the wall springs into action.
Fast moves!
The figure quietly opens the door, peeks out, and sees Mu Enli already walking away, almost disappearing around the corner.
Without hesitating, the shadow darts out from the fire door, ready to follow again—only something suddenly feels off!
Bam—!
The loud bang is the fire door being slammed shut—a figure crashing into it: Officer Ma!
Old Ma is leaning against the door with a cold smirk.
“This time you’re not getting away!
Who the hell are you?
Why are you bugging us?”
The person tailing the old captain…
a woman glances quickly but starts backing away, silent.
As she steps back then turns to run, Lin Feng bursts out at the end of the corridor, arms spread wide like a bodyguard in the penalty box.
The woman instantly stops.
Ma Houde and Lin Feng now close in from both sides, gradually boxing the woman in.
“I’m placing you under arrest!
You’d better cooperate!”
The woman suddenly flashes a smile, and one by one starts unbuttoning her coat, showing off quite a… pair.
Low-cut top, too!
“You… What are you doing!
I’m warning you, this kind of move—I’m not falling for it!” Old Ma snorts, pointing angrily.
But the woman has only taken off her coat…
Then she stretches her hand towards Officer Ma, fingers beckoning up and down—a full-on taunt.
“Lin Feng, don’t let her provoke you!
We’re a team!
Hit her together!” Officer Ma’s an old hand, not so easy to fool with that trick.
The two officers waste no time, leaping at the woman front and back!
Clearly, Ma—the martial arts newbie—launches a wild move he probably picked up online, looks like a “black tiger stealing the heart,” but it’s all shape, no substance.
Lin, straight out of the academy, at least looks more legit—he’s got that kickboxing stance.
The woman ducks Old Ma’s attack easily, palms his head down, and as he bows, she spins around with a powerful kick right at Lin behind her!
That kick’s brutally fast—Lin can’t dodge and takes it hard, stumbling back sideways for several steps.
With that spinning move, the woman keeps going, turning in a full circle, and instantly hooks her leg around Ma Houde’s neck.
“Shit!”
Old Ma may be a sharpshooter, but hand-to-hand isn’t his thing, and he’s gotten chubbier over the years—right now, bent over, clawing at the woman’s thigh… it’s honestly a hilarious scene.
Lin shakes out his numb arm, takes a deep breath, swings a few wild punches, then resets his kickboxing stance—he’s still ready to take on ten at once!
“Damn, Old Ma!
You look so pathetic!” From down the hall, Ren Ziling and Lizi e running.
Sister Ren—whose philosophy is attack first, roast later—can’t resist the moment.
“Hell… Help me!
I can’t breathe…” Old Ma shouts, pale-faced in agony.
Ren Ziling cracks her knuckles, grins coldly: “Ever since I went straight, it’s been ages since I’ve had a good brawl…
We’re all women here, don’t expect mercy!
Lizi, back off—I’m about to unseal myself!”
Unseal my ass… It’s just that she used to smoke, drink, fry her hair, and once sent a couple guys to the hospital in college, really.
Lizi takes two steps back, deadpan.
The woman suddenly lets go of Old Ma, steps back with a smile, still totally unfazed by being surrounded.
Catching his breath, Ma rubs his neck, shakes his flab, and launches at the woman again!
With Ren Ziling joining in, three attackers finally make the woman look a little strained… Just a little, though.
She still calmly handles all three.
“Damn it, Old Ma, stop getting in my way!
I almost landed a kick!”
“F**k!!
If not for you, I’d have squashed her!”
“Ma’am, stop with the crazy kicks… I’m standing right here!”
No coordination at all—after a while, their bat effectiveness nosedives.
The woman sees her chance, lands both hands on Ren Ziling’s shoulders, jumps up, and flips right over her—doesn’t hold back, even slams her foot hard into Sister Ren’s back mid-landing!
Ren Ziling’s body gets kicked straight into Old Ma and Lin… the three all crash to the ground.
The woman turns, waves goodbye, and quickly retreats—she’s broken out!
Her escape path is clear!
This woman, silent from start to finish, now speeds off.
The three scramble up but she’s already too far—they’re fuming.
Lizi shakes her head, sighs… then quietly blows out a breath.
A nearly invisible ring of ice forms on the floor in front of the running woman, hooks around her ankle, and trips her up in an instant.
The woman clearly did not expect this.
By the time she realizes, she’s already face-planting on the ground!
Sister Ren—deadly and vengeful—doesn’t waste a second, leaps right on top, pins the woman down, and Lin and Old Ma pile on too.
Triple team finally brings her down!
…
Click!
Handcuffs snap onto the woman’s wrists, chaining her to Officer Ma.
Old Ma snorts, “Let’s see where you run now!
Up!”
Old Ma lifts his arm, the woman follows, frowning at the floor… but she can’t spot anything.
Lizi acts like nothing happened, chewing on her lollipop as she strolls over, “Wow!
Sister Ren, you guys are awesome!”
“Kids’ stuff!” Ren Ziling wipes her nose, boasting: “I swept through every college martial arts club, you know!”
Lizi… can only clap, what else?
“If not for that trip, you three wouldn’t have caught me.” the woman suddenly says, shaking her head.
Old Ma doesn’t care, righteous as ever: “That’s Sky Net catching up!
Justice always wins.
Bad guys always get what’s ing!”
“Say what you want, I’m just unlucky.” The woman shrugs, then flashes a sly grin: “But Old Ma, maybe it’s time to hit the gym?
That belly—looks like it’s grown again.”
“Mind your own damn business… Wait, how do you know my name?” Officer Ma freezes.
The woman looks over at Ren Ziling, “Ziling, not bad, you still got those moves.”
Ren Ziling stares, frowns deeper and deeper: “That voice… I swear I’ve heard it somewhere… and for some reason, it always pisses me off?”
“Haha.”
Now the woman takes off her shades, grabs her hair—and yanks off a wig.
She peels off some kind of fake skin from her cheeks, finally sighing: “Whew, that’s better… Long time no see, Old Ma, Ziling.
And this one… No clue, must be an entry level guy?”
Lin Feng stares at Officer Ma and Ren Ziling—their faces turn instantly into rainbows of emotion.
“Ali!!!”
Ren Ziling and Old Ma both yell at the same time!
…
This Ali woman is chatting with Officer Ma, while Lizi quietly whispers to Sister Ren: “Sister Ren, who is Ali anyway… Why’ve you been staring at her all intense, like you want to eat her or something?”
Ren Ziling squints, “She used to be on Old Ma’s team.
Later got transferred somewhere—don’t know where, never thought she’d show up again… Honestly, that damned woman is a total Fox Spirit!
Always seducing other people’s husbands!”
“Seducing… What?” Lizi’s eyes go wide.
Ren Ziling points to herself, “Seduced my own husband!!”
Wait… that means Luo Qiu’s dad?
“Ziling, talking shit about me again?” Ali grins, looking over with big-sis elegance.
“No way!” Subeditor Ren beams.
She steps forward, “Ali sis, I’m like, a hundred and twenty percent stoked to see you!
Wow, a few years and your wrinkles have multiplied—better take care, or at your age, you might never get married, ha ha ha…”
“Oh yeah?
Ziling, you too, look at your saggy cheeks!
Maybe stop pulling all-nighters, huh?”
“Thanks for your concern, Ali.
But seriously, you’re so skinny, must be rough—look, your boobs are barely there!”
“It’s tough all right.
Not like you, yours must be so heavy you need extra support… Gonna start sagging for sure.”
“Thanks… for caring!”
“Same to you—thanks for caring!”
Watching these two almost face-to-face, eyes practically throwing lightning, Officer Ma quietly swallows and wipes a bead of cold sweat.
“Officer Ma?” Lin Feng whispers.
“Quick!
Change the subject!
When these two start feuding, the whole world ends—someone’s gonna die!” Old Ma shoves Lin forward.
Why me?
Lin Feng sighs, steels himself, and blurts out, “So… Ms.
Ali, why are you here anyway?
Why were you tailing the captain, and why’d you plant the bug where we were eating?
Uh, can you explain?”
“Ziling, we’ll catch up later, okay?
Let’s focus on business for now.”
“Of course, I’m super mature, never get hung up on stuff.”
“But Ziling, you shouldn’t hear what es next.
Unrelated folks, please excuse yourselves.” Ali grins sweetly.
Ren Ziling… tugs Lizi over to the wall, grumbling all the way.
…
“Na… National Security!!”
Old Ma’s eyes go wide as Ali flashes a tiny badge, stunned before it hits him, “So it’s that department… Back when you transferred, you never said where.
I tried to find out for ages, and came up blank!”
“Old Ma, I had no choice but to keep you in the dark.” Ali shakes her head, face serious.
“Now you know, but after we get off this ship, pretend you never saw me, okay?
Same for you, entry level guy.”
Old Ma nods solemnly.
Lin Feng instantly clamps his hands over his ears, “Uh, maybe I should join them over there?”
He looks at where Ren Ziling is standing.
“No need, I’ll be using you both for now.” Ali says, businesslike.
“Ma Houde, Lin Feng, I’ve got intel: there’s foreign agents on board the Baiyu Cruise, plotting something against us.
I’m officially requisitioning you for this case!”
“Ready and reporting for duty!” Officer Ma straightens up and salutes, “Hey, have you found the agents yet… You were tailing the captain, that means—is he…”
Ali’s brow furrows.
“I’m not sure yet.
It’s plicated.
I did track one agent all the way here.
But he’s dead.”
“Wait—Qian Guoliang?!” Old Ma is stunned.
Ali nods.
“My intel said Qian Guoliang boarded to find another agent… But we don’t know who it is, just that their codename is King.”
