Chapter 843: Chapter 87: The One Who Bestows Dreams and Futures (2)

In the crevice of the Void, a fissure opened, and the wealthy Wolfgang strolled out effortlessly.

This was the coordinate of the Palace of Eternal Night, the portal to the Void’s Lost Paradise where the Transcendents resided — although the Palace of Eternal Night before him was majestic and vast, it was indeed just a gateway to the Void Lost Paradise.

Through the Palace of Eternal Night, the Transcendents could teleport to their residences — the place where all the Transcendents lived together formed the plete Void’s Lost Paradise.

On the gigantic platform, a dazed middle-aged man was sitting there.

The man looked utterly disheartened, with both his hands and feet bound by chains, and the end of the chains was nailed to the platform with giant nails.

With wealth, Wolfgang approached the man, lowered his head, and scrutinized him, “Are you the guy who accidentally entered the Palace of Eternal Night and was used as bait by Zang Jian?”

The middle-aged man… Fish Ball Qiang slowly raised his head at these words. His eyes had long turned murky, as if it took him a long while to realize that this seemingly wealthy guy was talking to him.

It’s no wonder that Fish Ball Qiang’s reaction was so slow — in this place, with no day or night, no need to eat, time seemed to have stopped, being meaningless. He didn’t even feel tired, his mind always remained clear.

But precisely because of this, after spending an unknown amount of time here, Fish Ball Qiang’s spirit had fallen into an unfavorable state — in response to the situation, his brain had actively made some adjustments.

Daze.

Oh… this Void Primordial Demon looks like a person… wait, it really is a person!!

Fish Ball Qiang suddenly realized something, immediately shivered, and quickly got up, “Brother! Help me! I’m trapped here by a female Devil Head! It’s too dangerous!”

Wolfgang nodded, then pointed to himself and slowly said, “I am a panion of the female Devil Head you spoke of.”

Fish Ball Qiang… Fish Ball Qiang opened his mouth, only to feel despair hitting him.

Wolfgang suddenly chuckled, patted Fish Ball Qiang’s shoulder, and said calmly, “Keep it with you; it has benefits. With so many Void Primordial Demons being devoured by the platform, it’s good if each gives you a bit.”

“What do you mean?” Fish Ball Qiang hastily reached out towards Wolfgang.

But Wolfgang did not intend to have much contact with Fish Ball Qiang. After taking a quick step back, he smiled without speaking, walked directly past Fish Ball Qiang, and headed towards the Palace of Eternal Night.

The Transcendents do not have a hierarchical relationship, but they tend to follow mon conventions among themselves — for example, not interacting too much with someone another Transcendent has chosen.

“Wait! Brother, brother… brother!!”

Fish Ball Qiang’s voice gradually faded away, and Wolfgang, entering the Palace of Eternal Night, soon arrived at a grand hall — it was a place not solemn but brimming with a sense of killing and desolation.

Because this was not so much a grand hall as it was a graveyard of swords.

A cross-shaped high platform extended in four directions of the hall, while at the bottom of the platform lay countless swords… sharp Treasured Swords, murderously shimmering cold swords, broken remnants, and rust-stained decaying swords.

At the center of the platform sat a young girl not much in age, with short black hair, but the moment she opened her eyes, you could see her silver pupils.

“Wolfgang?” The young girl frowned, seemingly quite surprised to see this wealthy guy, “I heard you were in touch with the Queen of Hell, have you succeeded yet?”

“Oh, that’s the day I’m looking forward to, but it’s not here yet.” Wolfgang shook his head: “I don’t have your luck, Ms. Zang Jian.”

Saying this, Wolfgang couldn’t help but secretly vent… this guy doesn’t even qualify as waiting for something to fall into his lap. A True Soul fell from the sky, divinely being an ultimate opportunist fighter!

“What brings you here?” Zang Jian asked indifferently.

Wolfgang stated his purpose directly, “Of course, I’m hoping you’d open the Teleportation Gate for me; I have some matters to attend to.”

“Coordinates?” Zang Jian was straightforward.

Wolfgang asked, “Can I set the coordinates myself? I’d rather not let anyone know where I’m heading.”

Zang Jian said nothing; she was solely responsible for guarding the Palace of Eternal Night, overseeing all teleportation channels to the Void’s Lost Paradise. Theoretically, all Transcendents were entitled to use the teleportation gate… Wolfgang’s request wasn’t unusual.

The exchanges between Transcendents often prefer not to let others know — of course, as the manager of the teleportation gate, even if Wolfgang set it up himself, she would still be aware.

This so-called self-setting is merely to prevent the next user from deducing anything from clues.

Zang Jian waved her hand, and several sharp and cold swords shot up from below the cross high platform, forming a ring in front of Wolfgang. The surrounding space seemed frozen, and even frost spread to Wolfgang’s feet.

Only heard Zang Jian say indifferently, “Go in.”

“Oh, changed the theme of the Teleportation Gate again?” Wolfgang observed casually, “I remember last time it was the theme of Thunder Scorch?”

Zang Jian merely closed her eyes slowly and quietly resumed her meditation.

Wolfgang had long bee accustomed to it; every Transcendent has some unique hobbies, don’t they? Like this administrator lady here, who particularly enjoys cool visual effects.

And this administrator lady rarely speaks with others, but perhaps it is this character that led her to be appointed as the manager here… he boldly stepped into the cold-themed Teleportation Gate and quickly disappeared.

Zang Jian flicked her hand, and the cold swords forming the gate returned to the sword graveyard below.

Zang Jian opened her eyes and muttered, “This coordinate is… the Demon in the Interstice?”

Birds chirping and flowers blooming, like a paradise outside the world.

The moment the door opened, Wolfgang was already strolling in this garden full of floral fragrance — in a pavilion ahead resembling a birdcage, a man was leaning against a pillar.

The man’s fingers were pale, yet a little bird rested on his fingertip as Wolfgang walked into the pavilion; only then did the man slowly turn his head.

Medium-long and straight silver-gray hair.

A crimson mole marked the center of his brow, his eyes tightly shut… because he was blind, naturally unable to see anything.

“Noah.” Wolfgang stood with hands folded, gently calling the man’s name, “Lend me your Gem Sword.”

The man… Noah smiled and said, “The Gem Sword interferes with parallel phenomena and has already been prohibited.”

“No, no, no, it’s not that exaggerated,” replied Wolfgang. “We’re just looking for someone in this main reality, all on the same line.”

“Who are we looking for?”

“Lucifer,” Wolfgang said helplessly. “Her Majesty the Queen has gone missing, it’s speculated she might have entered the Lost Lands of the main reality.”

“In that case, there’s no need to use the Gem Sword,” Noah stood up, as a small bird flew off his fingertips, “I’ll acpany you to the main reality.”

“Haven’t you stayed in your own courtyard for decades?” Wolfgang was greatly astonished.

Noah replied indifferently, “Recently, there have been issues with Earth Seven, interference seems to originate from the main reality, I plan to take a look.”

“What problem?” Wolfgang asked in surprise.

Noah shook his head, “Not clear yet… There’s a case of sudden death on Earth Seven, but according to the original trajectory, she wasn’t supposed to die.”

Wolfgang frowned, “Veering off from her destiny… Could it be the qualification of a Transcendent? How could such qualifications appear on Earth Seven? But then, how would a Transcendent die?”

Noah continued, “Just an ordinary mother, suddenly died in a car accident, along with her newborn child.”

At this point, Noah shook his head, “I’ll investigate the interference myself, but after I help you find Lucifer. By the way, where was her last disappearance?”

“Rio,” Wolfgang revealed frankly.

Noah then slightly opened his mouth, revealing a subtle surprised expression, intriguing Wolfgang, “What, have you figured something out?”

Noah shook his head, muttering, “The mother I mentioned… also in Rio… Is it a coincidence?”

“In that case, let’s quickly descend into the main reality.” Saying so, Wolfgang opened the sword gate themed with cold ice.

But Noah shook his head, saying calmly, “Use my Book of Void to descend, it’s faster this way.”

Wolfgang shrugged indifferently… Who could blame him for such nonchalance? After all, one of the founders of Void’s Lost Paradise…

Per the rules, former employees cannot enter the research institute, even if they once held important positions. Considering the involvement of a great deal of national technology and secrets, not even someone like an elder could be allowed in without reason.

“Dr. Ferenc, it’s not that I’m refusing you entry, but the rules are rules…” The security guard looked helplessly at Dr. Ferenc, dressed in patient’s clothes, patiently explaining, “But you see, you’ve been relieved of all your positions. If I let you in, it’d be hard for me to answer to the higher-ups.”

“When did I get relieved of all my positions? Are you new here?” Faced with the guards’ obstruction, Dr. Ferenc couldn’t help but angrily argue back, continuing to dispute ceaselessly with them.

This matter quickly reached the director. The research institute’s director hurriedly came out… The people here still respect Ferenc quite a bit, given his indelible contributions to the space industry.

But merits can e with faults, years ago, due to Dr. Ferenc’s insistence, a major disaster happened, causing the institute to lose many talents.

Honestly, these years Dr. Ferenc isn’t much favored at the institute—many of the still-working staff have family and friends who perished in that disaster; their resentment towards Dr. Ferenc hasn’t faded with time.

Overall, the old man is an object of ostracism.

The director, being an old schoolmate of Dr. Ferenc, is somewhat helpless too. In fact, after being requested by Ferenc’s son, Mr. Ofi, there’s even a sense of relief.

The director originally thought after this, Ferenc would quietly live out his days, but unexpectedly, within a few days, Ferenc took the initiative to e.

“Ferenc… Oh, old buddy, what’s going on with you? Why do you look like you’ve just e out of the hospital?” The director waved away the guards and looked at Dr. Ferenc with furrowed brows.

“Oh, you’ve aged so much?” Dr. Ferenc was amazed at seeing his old friend, then quickly shook his head, “Never mind that, quickly get these guys to let me in. What a joke, when did I get relieved of my position? The launch test is just a few months away, why would you relieve me now?”

The director paused, bewildered, “Old buddy, do you really not know or are you pretending not to know? This business was actually requested by your son… Oh, honestly, I didn’t want to but Mr. Ofi is now the Minister of National Security, how could I refuse him? Wait… What do you mean by just a few months until the launch test?”

“When did Mr. Ofi bee the Minister of Defense?”

Both looked at each other in bewilderment.

The director examined Dr. Ferenc again and hesitated, “Ferenc, something seems off about you?”

Dr. Ferenc frowned and said, “I remember, I remember! I won’t talk to you, I need to return to the lab, I’ve thought of the key part!”

Saying this, Dr. Ferenc ignored the director and walked directly away. The director was momentarily stunned, then quickly waved to a few guards.

The guards understood, quickly followed and grabbed Dr. Ferenc’s arm, preventing him from leaving.

“Let go… What do you want to do?”

The director walked up, looked at Dr. Ferenc, and said, “Old buddy, they’re just taking you to change clothes. Would you really plan to go in like this? The institute has its rules.”

“Oh… right, right.” Dr. Ferenc ‘suddenly realized’, “Strange, why am I wearing this kind of clothes?”

The director then instructed the guards to take Dr. Ferenc away, but directed him to the guest room instead, then picked up the phone, “…Ofi? It’s me… Hmm, Ferenc is here with me and seems a bit off… Okay, I’ll wait for you to e… Got it, I’ll steady Ferenc, don’t worry.”

In front of Mr. Ofi’s house.

The maid, dressed in trousers casually pressed the doorbell—she knew there was no one inside.

However, if the owner were here, generally speaking, you’d press the doorbell, right?

After the bell rang a few times, You Ye placed her hand on the door lock, gently twisted it open, and entered, “Excuse me for the intrusion.”

Upon entering, the maid walked straight to the backyard of the apartment, then into the workshop in the back garden, You Ye looked at the numerous formulas written all over the walls and floor, smiling, “Progress is quite fast…”
