Now reading: Chapter 459: When the River of Light Flows into the Sea from Train Survival: I Became a White-Haired Hardcore Grinder, a Action novel by 人间十月天.

The river of light began from a naless hillside and flowed through the Star Abyss.

It was not as violent as the thunder of the Thunder God Fleet, nor as soft as the light streams of the Erald Network; it was rely a quiet, warm river woven from pure belief and undefined songs.

The first [N O V E L I G H T] to sense it were Zi Yuan and Blue Bird, who were bombarding the Logic Amber with Spears of Thunder.

The Silent Sanctuary, as its na suggested, should have been deathly still.

It was a solid block of Logic Amber that froze ti, space, and emotion together, containing countless individuals within who had been purged early due to excessively high emotional variables.

They had not ford a civilization, nor even left behind complete mories; only the final tremor of thought before being forcibly silenced remained.

Every strike of Blue Bird's thunder exploded in blinding electric light on the surface of the amber, yet left only shallow marks.

"This thing is thicker than the old faces of the Council!" she roared irritably.

Zi Yuan's long blade vibrated, her blade intent like a needle, attempting to find the cracks of reason within the structure of the amber.

But the logic chains forming the amber were interlinked, cold and perfect, rejecting any irrational intrusion of emotion.

Just before the next round of attacks coalesced, that river of light spread silently toward them.

It flowed past the hulls of the Thunder Battleships, over the armor of the warriors, and finally, gently touched that massive, transparent Logic Amber.

There was no roar, no shattering.

The mont the amber touched the river of light, the minute emotional tremors within, frozen for untold ages, reacted.

Those unford loves, unspoken fears, and the primal curiosity and wonder toward the world...

...suddenly resonated with the songs of the stars and the belief of children flowing within the river of light.

A resonance that transcended the binary oppositions of cleanup/retention, effective/ineffective, and reason/emotion.

It was an echo of existence itself to existence.

*Crack—*

A very slight, yet soul-piercing crisp sound.

It wasn't the amber shattering, but rather its internal, absolutely rigorous logical structure being perated by sothing more fundantal.

Frozen ti and space began to soften, and cracks appeared in the silencing incantation.

Zi Yuan's eyes narrowed. Without a word, her long blade transford into a streak of silver light condensed to the extre, stabbing along the minute, almost non-existent crack of reason and emotion perated by the river of light!

"Break!"

The Logic Amber lit up from within.

It wasn't chiseled open by violence, but rather dissolved naturally like ice under a warm spring current.

Countless sealed shadows, blurred human figures, unfinished paintings, intermittent notes, the outline of a hug, and a tear that never fell...

...like seeds long dormant, under the watering of the river of light and the awakening of the thunder, they began to slowly, tremblingly... wake up.

They were still fragile, lacking complete mories or wisdom, but the traces of their existence were being reactivated and acknowledged.

Blue Bird watched blankly as those faint shadows drifted out of the amber and rged into the surrounding river of light, as if lost stardust had found its way ho to the riverbed. "This... is this the 'overlooked things' Bai Cheng spoke of?"

Zi Yuan sheathed her blade and looked toward the direction from which the river of light flowed, a flash of realization crossing her cold eyes.

"It wasn't power that conquered the rules, but... belief that deconstructed the definition. Co, take all the echoes we can carry and head to the Edge Echo Belt! They need this!"

Almost simultaneously, at the Edge Echo Belt.

On the dozens of light screens before Leng Ningxue, the curves representing echo intensity were plumting off a cliff.

More complete remnants of civilizations slumbered here, but ti and oblivion were killers more heartless than the cleanup protocol.

A third of the echoes were already like candles in the wind, completely extinguished.

Lu Duo's Erald Network expanded to its limit, trying to net those dissipating spots of light, but it was like trying to hold sand with bare hands.

Yu Nian's pure heart vine wrapped gently around them, but could only slow the speed of their dissipation, unable to reverse it.

"It's too late..." Lu Duo's voice was choked with sobs.

At that mont, the river of light arrived.

It silently rged into this void on the brink of death, like sweet rain falling on parched earth.

These echoes on the verge of vanishing—the last marks of civilizations consisting of only a lody, a splash of color, or a hint of scent—touched the river of light like dried moss eting water.

They didn't imdiately beco vibrant again, but the process of dissipation stopped.

Even more wondrously, the Mirror Shuttles of the Nest of a Thousand Mirrors found that when they tried to capture and fix these echoes using mirror technology, the river of light beca the perfect developer and adhesive.

Originally blurred and broken images beca clear and coherent as the river of light flowed; intermittent songs found a connecting rhythm; isolated emotional fragnts attracted each other, piecing together a more complete aning.

"It's resonance... a resonance from sothing more ancient and fundantal," Leng Ningxue's icy eyes danced with data streams as she analyzed the composition of the river of light. "It's providing a... baseline frequency of existence. All echoes use this as a standard to stabilize their forms, and even... begin to slowly repair themselves!"

Lu Duo and Yu Nian looked at each other, hope shining in their eyes.

The Erald Network and the pure heart vine guided the river of light, gently washing and nourishing every echo on the verge of extinction, as if performing a cross-temporal ergency rescue for them.

anwhile, at the Place of the First Fire, the situation was entirely different.

Enoch, Abraham, Aurora, Elune, and the twelve forr Observers were not facing fragile echoes, but a massive, complex initial ruin filled with paradoxes and self-referential logic traps.

Everything here appeared in a strange state of repeated revision, as if the builders themselves were constantly negating their previous plans.

"This isn't a base; it's a tangled ss of logic." Enoch's chanical right eye scanned at high speed, reaching a baffling conclusion.

"Every design simultaneously embodies a desire for absolute control and a subconsciousness that leaves backdoors open. Look here—"

He pointed to a massive energy hub, its structural diagram unfolding on the light screen.

"Theoretically, the output power is enough to format half the Star Abyss, but next to its control core, there's a hand-carved resting alcove left entirely unprotected. This doesn't follow any rational design principles."

Abraham gazed at the alcove, his gray eyes deep. "It's like... a corner of humanity the designer unconsciously reserved for themselves amidst extrely rational work. Just like that tear."

Recorder Seven stepped forward, fingers lightly touching the cold walls of the ruins, complex emotions showing in his silver-white eyes.

"I recognize this style. Contradictory, struggling... it's the style of our first-generation ntors. Perhaps they weren't originally cold incarnations of rules."

Just then, the river of light andered into the intricate corridors of the Place of the First Fire.

It did not try to untangle or crack those logical sses and traps, but instead perated through those irrational gaps.

For example, that resting alcove, a deliberately misaligned pipe interface, or a wall carved with aningless decorative patterns—it flowed through them all.

Wherever the river of light passed, it didn't change the physical structure of the ruins, but it changed the atmosphere.

Those cold, oppressive logic traps still existed, but the aura of absolute authority and unquestionability they emitted was quietly neutralized and diluted by the belief of children and the free songs of stars carried within the river of light.

It was as if hard ice had t sunlight that wasn't ant to shatter it, but to warm it.
