Oh?

"Does this concern my health in any way?"

"Partially."

I let out a chuckle.

"Then you can partially mind your business, then."

Adam leaned back slightly.

"I know you might think of it as a joke, but you telling about how it works helps both of us. I would learn more about your condition, and—"

"And you would go to Braum and research a cure, despite waving the cure in front of your face," I interjected.

I knew the type of person he was.

And even with having an answer to all his problems, he was soone who would be willing to try out another way, thinking it was better.

It wasn’t.

"I’m not telling you anything, so get over it."

With that, I stood up and left his hut.

I felt like I might be able to get along with him.

But definitely not as he was now.

He’s irrational, selfish, and nothing like the smart man he’s supposed to be.

So I just need to wait for Aliyah to whip him back into shape.

Hopefully.

The mont I stepped outside, I spotted Clentine in the distance.

She sat on the trunk of a tree and was reading a book.

Though when I approached her and kissed her on the back of her neck, she let out a giggle.

"Did you talk with Adam?"

I nodded.

"Yep. It turns out it’s incurable."

She didn’t say anything.

If I had to guess, she already knew that.

"How’s reading going?"

A faint smirk appeared on her face.

"I morized two books already. I should be done with all the books in two days or so. Then I can learn the technique and fix your horns."

"Aha? In that case, I’ll leave you alone. I need to do so training as well."

I gave her a kiss on the cheek, and then glanced ahead.

There was another empty mountain several kiloters in front of .

And with a wave at Clentine, I suddenly vanished into a red streak of lightning before abruptly reappearing on the top of the mountain a few kiloters away.

Glancing back, I could still kind of see Clentine’s figure as she sat on the tree stump and waved at .

I let out a chuckle and sat down, crossing my legs and relaxing.

There was sothing big I wanted to do today.

And that was to rge so of my Gifts.

▷Inherent Gifts

★Telekinesis [Expert] (Lv.56)

★Lightning Manipulation [Expert] (Lv.60)

★Sword Saint [Master] (Lv.95)

▷Wrath Gifts

★Pyrokinesis [Interdiate] (Lv.6)

★Red Lightning [Interdiate] (Lv.99)

Aside from Sword Saint, all the other Gifts were kind of similar in a way.

At least Lightning Manipulation and Red Lightning were pretty damn similar.

After all, they were both lightning.

As for Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis... Could I rge the two of them?

What would even be the result?

So for starters, I decided to try rging them first.

I closed my eyes and focused on the energies in my heart, separated into their own pathways.

There were five of them in total, plus the fragnt in the very back.

But focusing on just the five, I found Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis.

Both of them were side by side.

One a silver color, and the other red.

After taking a deep breath, I imagined the Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis pathways creating miniature pathways between one another, transferring both types of energies back and forth.

It looked interesting at first, since the mix between red and silver produced a blood-red color.

That was by mixing in those miniature pathways.

However, I quickly ran into a problem, as no matter how much I tried to force the two energies to rge, they just continued branching off into the miniature pathways and interfering with my other Gifts.

Deeming attempt number one a failure, I quickly dissipated that energy, and after clearing the miniature pathways away, I tried again.

This ti, I made bigger gaps and pushed away the other three Gifts.

By isolating Telekinesis and Pyrokinesis, and then creating long, tube-like pathways from the furthest corners of that energy, I began rging the two Gifts.

Now that there was more distance and more room, the tube-like pathways expanded and didn’t ddle with the other Gifts.

And slowly, the two energies began siphoning from one another, changing the color of both to blood-red.

Though... it looked like this would take a while.

Several hours went by in the blink of an eye.

And as I stared at the completely white blob of energy in my heart, I couldn’t help but think about what went wrong.

I was sure it was blood-red up until a few minutes ago.

All I did was close my eyes, and now it was this...

Why?

But right as I was beginning to think that I had completely deleted both of my Gifts by accident, a surprising pop-up appeared in front of .

[Ding!]

[★Telekinesis [Expert] (Lv.56) has absorbed ★Pyrokinesis [Interdiate] (Lv.6)]

[Ding!]

[★Telekinesis [Expert] (Lv.56) has gained bonus effects!]

[Effect 1: Grants enhanced mastery and understanding of thermal-based telekinetic manipulation.]

[Effect 2: You may now create a Permanent Telekinetic Control Field.]

The first effect was nice, and since I still felt like I could freely use Pyrokinesis even with that Gift gone, I knew this would co in handy and really enhance my strength.

But as for the second effect, I had no idea what this was.

I could already make a Telekinetic Barrier around myself, which was already decent.

Since it barely used any energy, it could act as a field too.

But theorizing about it wouldn’t make suddenly gain so enlightennt.

So before I moved on to rging my lightning Gifts, I pressed on the second effect.

In an instant, I felt a small bit of my energy drain as my Telekinesis suddenly expanded five ters around , forming an invisible sphere.

Curious, I picked up a nearby pebble and tossed it into the air.

The pebble began to fall slowly, as though in zero gravity, before finally landing on the ground.

Hmm...

Is it a flat reduction to speed, or does it depend on the mass of the object?

I raised my hand and uprooted a nearby dead tree before tossing it at myself.

To my surprise, the tree, despite being several dozen tis heavier than the pebble, flew at the sa speed as the pebble, yet the closer it got to , the more it slowed down.

Moreover, its montum was also completely killed, and it fell to the ground just beside .

This felt really similar to my Telekinetic Barrier, but on a much larger scale.

And it was also effortless, like a passive barrier or ability of sorts.

...Could this be so kind of special effect unique to Expert-ranked Telekinesis?

I knew that Manipulation-type Gifts like Lightning Manipulation could create Guardians at Expert-rank.

Still... If this was really the equivalent of a Guardian, then that ans it can scale with my Gift’s rank, my energy capacity, and also my knowledge of Telekinesis.

Just like a Guardian.

The possibilities were endless.

Though...

Before I got ahead of myself, I needed to figure out how to activate and deactivate this ability first.
