I wasn’t sure how long had passed, but when I opened my eyes, I noticed it was already morning.
My shirt was still off, and all the teasing Clentine had done the day prior was still vividly in my mind.
Just thinking about everything she did caused a shiver to run down my spine.
How could soone so innocent-looking know so many teasing and blue-balling techniques?
I get that she’s reading those erotic mangas, but damn...
I should really stop her from reading those for my own good.
Glancing down at my chest, which was filled with hickeys, and my pants, which were soaked from Clentine’s juices and...
"Cough."
Since I knew there was no way I was stepping outside like this, I quickly entered my dinsional ring, changed clothes, and burned the other pair before finally stepping out.
Now that the paralysis pill’s effect had worn off, I could walk and control my energy.
The only issue was that my mind was still a little hazy.
But I knew it was only a matter of ti before that got sorted.
After I made sure I didn’t leave Adam’s hut a total ss, I finally stepped outside.
Clentine was sitting on a tree stump, and not too far away was Adam.
He stood in front of a wooden dummy and held a thin needle. It looked like he was showing her so weak points by using the dummy as practice.
When Adam saw , he stopped doing whatever he was doing and nodded at Clentine.
"That’s all. I’ve taught you everything I know. I didn’t expect you to learn everything so fast. I wish I could’ve taught you more, and even helped you assimilate your Siren abilities with healing, but due to our ti limitations and impending doom... I hope you can do that by yourself."
A look of gratitude appeared on her face as she stood up and bowed.
"Thank you for everything. Especially with the help you gave Amon. I appreciate it a lot."
"Don’t ntion it. I’m sure we’ll et soon enough, so let’s skip the sad goodbyes," Adam said and gestured off the mountain.
"Leave now, or I’ll make you both clean up the craters Amon had made."
The mont we heard that, we moved like clockwork, jumping off the mountain and landing on another mountain a few hundred ters away.
I had no idea how this mountain was still intact from what I cast the other week, but even so, when the two of us landed, it felt like all the tension finally faded and we were once again free to do whatever we pleased.
Though...
"You tease all night and then leave without even giving a kiss."
She flinched. Her cheeks imdiately flushed red as she avoided my gaze.
"I-I did a lot more than give you a kiss. You’re too greedy."
"...You did?"
Clentine’s eyes widened.
"You don’t rember?"
Is she teasing ?
It’s hard to tell, because I passed out after three hours from exhaustion.
Though, for those whole three hours, she hadn’t even taken her top off.
Ugh...
"You really don’t rember..."
She exhaled a relieved breath, then puffed out her chest.
"That’s good. I’m actually happy you don’t rember."
"...?"
"Enough dawdling around now. Are we still going to the Sun Vampires?"
"Huh? Yeah. We are."
Damn it...
She’s really not going to tell , is she?
"You said they’re north of Hanazora. Just how big is Hanazora, really?" Clentine asked.
I pondered over it for a mont.
"They have several hundred kiloters of land, I think? I could show you the map, I guess. Though most of their land is empty since they all just choose a mountain and make it a city. They’re pretty dumb people."
So many possibilities for agriculture and mining...
Anyhow, I quickly showed Clentine the map of the Western continent, and after outlining the Hanazora territory with a quill and circling where the Sun Vampires were, it was ti to head there right away.
But before that, there was sothing we needed to do.
"Normally, if we went there empty-handed, we’d have to fight them. In all honesty, we would probably be able to kill most of them, but the top Sun Vampire Nobles would definitely make easy work of us."
And I wasn’t exaggerating either.
These Sun Vampires had two specific conditions that would pretty much end us.
The first condition was simple.
Sunlight.
The second condition was our blood.
If we’re exposed to sunlight and the Sun Vampires ingest our blood, they’d be able to freely control us as though we were puppets, and unlike with regular vampire Blood Manipulation, it’s impossible to break out of this one.
So to avoid all of that...
"Sun Vampires are glamorous beings. They love jewelry, especially golden-colored jewelry... But they really hate gold. So none of that. Instead, check this out."
I reached into my dinsional ring and pulled out a few amber rings, necklaces, and even bracelets I had set aside.
"We’ll be using this under the pretext of offering a tribute. As for the ritual itself, I’ll need to refine the original plan."
She tilted her head.
"I get the tribute, but what do you an by refine the original?"
I scratched my cheek slightly.
"Due to the fragnt’s interference, my plan was to taunt the Vampire Nobles and wager whether the two of us could last longer than them in that ritual."
The flaw with that was simple.
"We’d make it through, but we wouldn’t make it out."
Clentine nodded in understanding.
With that, the two of us began discussing the plan a little further, and after just a few minutes, we were done and prepared to head straight north.
But just then, Clentine spoke up.
"What about Morr? Is it going to accompany us?"
"It’s always with us."
I pointed at my forehead.
"Morr’s in there. It said hi, by the way."
[No I did not,] Morr chid in.
Ignoring Morr, I noticed the excited expression on Clentine’s face.
After the incident with the Vermillions, I felt like she had begun developing a need for so kind of pet.
And after eting Morr for the first ti after the barbarian massacre, she kept trying to call out to it, as if she wanted Morr to be her pet.
I kind of wished Morr would grow into it.
But judging by how feral it got whenever the two of us sparred... I’ll wait until we’re a little bit closer for that.
"Hi Morr~!"
Yeah.
I definitely have to wait.
"That’s enough chatter. Follow ."
