"Were you the ones who made so many eyes appear?" I asked.
There were definitely only two of them. Judging by the feeling and everything else, it wasn’t like I could feel anyone here aside from these two.
So, in short, they had tried to trick with so sort of illusion, but failed. Now, they just stood there frozen. I could tell they didn’t an any harm, since both of them just looked like so kind of lorekeepers, or I guess, just simple librarians.
By that logic, I was most likely in so kind of library. It was just that my Mystic Eyes weren’t able to see far, because every ti I tried to lock onto a trace of energy, I would be shifted off to another location.
So for the first ti in a while, I needed to use my regular eyes.
Right as I thought they hadn’t heard , though, the Titan on the right spoke up.
"You’re Gabriel Edware? How are you back here? I thought we were mistaken... But it’s really you, isn’t it?"
I rolled my eyes.
"It’s , but I don’t have my mories, so if I have t you before, I apologize for not recognizing you."
They exchanged a glance, then nodded at .
"Gabriel, would you care to follow us for a mont? I believe we have sothing that might interest you," one of the Titans said.
I shrugged and then gestured for them to go ahead. Then, I used my Black Lightning to reappear atop one of their shoulders, greatly surprising them.
Though, I was a bit confused about what they were surprised about. It wasn’t like they were any weaker than . If anything, both of these librarian Titans were at the very least on the level of a Demon King. I could only imagine that the combat Titans were at least Demon Emperors.
No wonder Kai said he was surprised that these guys didn’t co and kill .
Heh.
Well, whatever.
For the next couple of minutes, none of us spoke. They didn’t speak because they were too nervous, and I didn’t say a word because I was too busy trying to make my Mystic Eyes work in this place. Sadly, nothing I did seed to work, even if I infused it with my energy.
Though, I did realize that if I spread my black lightning around and then tried using my Mystic Eyes off my own energy traces, I was able to see what I wanted to see. In theory, I should be able to do this on a much larger scale, so while I had the ti, I decided to test it out.
With a single thought, I cast several dozen small thunderclouds all around , spreading them out as far as I could and allowing them to absorb the information of everything around them. In just a few monts, I was able to use my Mystic Eyes everywhere.
And of course, it beca evident that the temple appearance I had initially saw was correct. This really was a temple. But it wasn’t one of those prayer temples. It was more like a temple ant for reading, maybe?
After all, everywhere I looked, basically every room had a book in it. Not to ntion, those books were extrely large. One such book was on a table, and each of the letters was the size of .
That made realize just how much of an ant I was in comparison to these people. But then again, I had already realized that much when I stood on this Titan’s shoulder and barely even covered any room.
Sighing in frustration, I continued looking around, until finally, the Titans stopped. I cancelled my Mystic Eyes and checked what they had stopped for, only to be left surprised by the sight ahead.
There was so kind of monunt in front, sporting a strand of hair, a finger, and lastly, a bone. Everything was normal-sized. There was nothing written on this monunt, but since the strand of hair was white... my instincts told all that I needed to know.
"Is this mine?" I asked.
The Titan whose shoulder I was on nodded. However, he didn’t speak. Instead, he gestured at his friend to walk away slightly, as if a little worried that Rael’s eardrums would burst.
It was definitely thoughtful.
"It’s what we managed to salvage from your body after everything that happened. We uhh... we believe you’d want these back, since they contain a tiny trace of your Divine Energy."
Hmm?
Is that so?
Well... I would agree right away, except for the fact that I realized the Titan was lying.
And as if realizing that I had found him out, the Titan quickly bowed.
"I apologize... The truth is that you’ve made a pact with us, and in that pact, we were supposed to preserve anything and everything we could after your death. We only managed to preserve this, which is why I’d like to apologize on behalf of all Titans."
Right...
It seed very political. I wasn’t much into politics, since I felt like most problems could be solved with a fist. But then again, had these guys not salvaged this, the other Divine Beasts would’ve had this.
For that reason alone, I nodded and gave them a faint smile.
"I appreciate all you’ve done. Let be here for now. I’d like to personally check it out."
Even if I had no clue what any of this ant.
"Very well... We’ll leave you be for now, Gabriel. However... I do have to ask, is your intention for coming to this realm non-negotiable?"
Realizing that he was talking in circles, he decided to be more clear.
"You’ve co here for a Titan Heart, did you not? I was wondering if there was anything we could offer that could preserve our race. Anything."
I tilted my head slightly, pondering over it for a mont.
"Then do you have sothing that could cure a really, really bad injury?"
