Hmm.
"What about your daughter?" I asked.
Vincent stared back at and said:
"She’ll co around when she’s no longer influenced by your stupidity."
"Is that so?" I leaned against the doorfra. "Then you wouldn’t mind explaining to just what the hell were those wings, right?"
"..."
Instead of replying, he began moving a little more earnestly, quickly packing his and his daughter’s bags. Honestly, just from the looks of things, he knew a lot about it. Maybe that was why he talked to Kai to begin with?
"You know, Vincent. I think you should co with . Bring you daughter too. Whatever she is, she’s not safe being just with you. No offense, but you’re very weak."
"Worry about your own life, Amon," Vincent said, and once he finally finished packing everything, he took out a large suitcase and plopped it down onto the floor.
The mont he opened it, I saw a few pillows in there, which gave all the information I needed to know Vincent wasn’t soone I should leave a being like Jenna to.
So despite my moral compass, I felt like I needed to cross a line today I wouldn’t usually even dare to touch.
Before he could stuff Jenna into that suitcase, I used my Telekinesis and wrapped it around Vincent’s neck, causing him to abruptly freeze in place.
I released my Telekinesis right after, but by now, my actions have already went past the point of minor consequences. Glancing down at Vincent, I spotted him looking up at , hatred flashing in his gaze.
"is that what we’re doing now, Amon?" Vincent stood up. "I had no respect for you to begin with... But now? You dare do sothing so vile in front of my daughter?"
I let out a sigh. "The sa daughter which you knocked unconscious? Vincent... Don’t let my kindness cloud the fact that you’re replaceable. I can kill you right now and store your body. Clentine can bring you back and use your Gift however she wants. It’s just at that point, you would no longer be yourself."
I approached him, and then placed a hand over his shoulder. "I’m past the point of giving a shit about your interests or your life, so I’ll give you a few options as a common courtesy."
"For one, you two co with and join . That’s the most basic courtesy I could give you."
But that wasn’t the only one.
"The second option is, you allow to take Jenna. I will train her, and make sure she’s protected."
And lastly...
"The third option is, you try to prevent from taking her, in which case, I will rip your spine out and then hang you off a tree. Whatever your decision may be, just be certain it’s sothing you won’t regret afterwards."
Fuck morality.
Who cared about morality when soone was being such an asshole to his own daughter. A daughter, who was otherwise so kind of being that seed important enough to not lave alone.
...I am selfish.
"What will you choose?" I asked after a brief pause.
He just stared at for a mont, pondering over my words. By now, he most likely knew I wasn’t the kind of person who would lie.
But even then, didn’t seem to be that interested in the first option. The second... Maybe? As for the third...
"May death do us part I suppose."
The mont he uttered those words, he went ahead and used up a chunk of his energy, activating his Gift. Thousands of tentacles appeared from the ground, and so of them seed very realistic. My perception was evidently distorted, showing just how far Vincent had gotten with his Illusion-based Gift.
But then again, this might’ve only worked had the two of us fought back in the Harper Citadel.
The way I am now... He stood no chance.
And of course, I decided to stay true to my word. With a single thought, my Telekinesis grabbed his spine and then violently yanked it out of his body, his blood vessels and so of his organs being torn out as well.
In a re instant, he looked like a living corpse. With just his energy alone, he clung to life. Though, by the ti his eyes landed on , I had realized one crucial detail.
Because of how forcefully I had pulled out his spine, I had ripped his eyes out too. I didn’t an to do it, but as I glanced at his spine and saw his eyes dangling loosely, eventually falling off, I knew there was no way he was surviving this.
And I was right, as in the next instant, his body folded as he collapsed into the very sa suitcase he had planned on stuffing Jenna inside. Feeling a breath of pity, I didn’t even go through with my original plan, as hanging him while he was in such a miserable state was a whole different line of morality I had no intention of crossing just yet.
So instead, I closed the suitcase with Vincent still inside, and without saying another word, tossed him under the bed.
As for his spine, I decided to hang it on the clothing hanger, his organs and everything else still attached.
Finally, I glanced over to Jenna, who was still unconscious. In the end, I simply wrapped my energy around her and without an ounce of hesitation, I used my black lightning to disappear.
Just like that, silence descended onto Vincent’s ho. Yet the sll of blood, as well as the blood leaking from the suitcase was a clear indication that sothing terrible happened here.
And yet, despite so much horror, the suitcase trembled. After just a few brief monts, the suitcase turned vanished into nothingness.
The sll of blood disappeared too, and before anyone knew it, footsteps resounded as one man in particular, Vincent, walked out from the other room, completely unscathed.
He glanced around the ss that had been made and then spotted his ’spine’ on the clothing hanger. It was nothing more than the bone of a large ox that he had taken out of his dinsional ring to fool Amon.
And now... Vincent was wondering if this whole charade was even worth it to begin with.
