Xing listened and was stunned, his eyes welled up with tears as he looked at the Grand Dowager.

The Grand Dowager responded to Xiqiu’s words, saying, "Yes, they have all gone, who will accompany Grandmother now?"

Hearing this, Xing pursed his lips, lowered his hands, and stood silently in front of Xiqiu.

That night, fearing Sheng and Xing would cause trouble, the Grand Dowager personally took the two children to sleep. Early the next morning, Xiqiu ca to help Min move. It was rely moving so of his usual belongings and clothes. Xiqiu led Min to kowtow to the Grand Dowager, her eyes red.

The Grand Dowager sat on the kang, her eyes turning red as well, and she used a handkerchief to dab at the corners of her eyes.

Min respectfully kowtowed three tis to the Grand Dowager, then Xiqiu led him out. At that mont, Xing and Sheng ran out from the room, calling, "Min, Min..."

As if they would never et again, the two children cried their hearts out. Min clutched Xiqiu’s hand tightly, tears welling in his eyes.

"Go on," Xiqiu smiled at Min, "Say goodbye to them, and invite them to visit our ho, okay?"

Min looked at Xiqiu as if gauging the truth of her words, and Xiqiu nodded at him seriously.

Min stepped forward, holding Xing and Sheng’s hands, and said in a low, choked voice, "Don’t cry, in the future, you can often co to play with ."

Xing and Sheng cried even more sorrowfully, their cries echoing throughout the courtyard.

The Grand Dowager rubbed her forehead, her heart aching for the two kids, and repeatedly waved for the nursemaids to take them away.

Xiqiu, unable to bear the scene, knelt in front of the three children and smiled, "All living in the sa courtyard, you will still go to school together every day, and usually still play in the sa place. The only difference is that Min stays at Aunt Four’s place at night. If you miss Min at night, you can see him the next morning."

"We know, but we can’t bear for Min to go." Although they said so, their crying softened a bit.

Mrs. walked over from beside the Grand Dowager, took Xing and Sheng’s hands, nodded at Xiqiu, and forcibly led them into the room.

The Grand Dowager took one last longing look at Min, waved her hand, and said, "Go on, go on!" and with reddened eyes, turned and went back inside.

Xiqiu then led Min out the door.

The First Madam led the two children into the washroom to wash their faces, using a handkerchief to wipe Xing’s tears, gently comforting, "Xing, as people grow up, they have to face all sorts of separations. The only one we can truly rely on and never part from is ourselves. Xing must learn to be strong, understand?"

"I don’t want to be separated," Xing cried, "I want to negotiate with Grandmother to move in with Min." Saying this, he was about to head out to find the Grand Dowager.

The First Madam frowned and said, "Nonsense, how can you all move to Aunt Four’s place to live? How can she take care of all three of you by herself?"

Xing lowered his head stubbornly, "Grandmother can take care of the three of us, so can Aunt Four. Besides, Aunt Ping said if I move there, she’s nearby and can take care of ."

The First Madam’s eyes flashed with a trace of stern light. Softly, she asked, "Who is Aunt Ping?"

Xing shook his head repeatedly, "I can’t say." He said and stepped back!

The First Madam grasped Xing’s hand, staring at him insistently. Xing, who was sowhat afraid of his always stern aunt, sniffed and was about to cry again. At this mont, Sheng ran over to protect Xing, saying to the First Madam, "First Aunt, you can’t bully Xing."

The First Madam also realized she was being too stern, so she softened her tone and said, "Aunt just wants to ask sothing." Saying this, seeing the children’s faces relax, she continued, "So what else did Aunt Ping say to you?"

Seeing the First Madam didn’t press on who Aunt Ping was, Xing thought there was no problem, so he tilted his head to recall Aunt Ping’s words, "Aunt Ping said I must be good and live with Min, so Aunt Four can protect , and nothing will happen to ." He paused and added, "Because Aunt Four is not just Aunt Four, she is also my Sixth Aunt." The latter part he didn’t understand, sothing about interests and the Tong Family’s face...

The First Madam’s eyebrows furrowed tightly. Recalling the ti she heard Xing call Xiqiu Sixth Aunt in the room, she originally thought Xiqiu taught that. Unexpectedly, there was an Aunt Ping behind this.

Investigating who Aunt Ping is would be easy enough.

The First Madam looked at the innocent Xing and let out a heavy sigh, taking the two out of the washroom, advising, "Don’t talk about this to Grandmother, okay?"

The two children both nodded.

Then forgot about moving to Xiqiu’s quarters.

Xiqiu led Min back to the room.

There was a short covered corridor outside Xiqiu’s room, and the room newly furnished for Min was just next door. Xiqiu smiled and said, "Go in and have a look."

Min pushed the door open by himself, his eyes imdiately lit up. There were none of the cute, chubby ingots or playful puppies he was worried about. The room was set against a dark blue background, without extra decorations, and only a shorter bookshelf sat in the corner, filled with neatly arranged books. A small desk was placed in front of the bookshelf.

The desk was set with calligraphy tools, and seven or eight pens of various sizes hung from a pen rack, as if he had already been living here and wasn’t just moving in today, everything exuding a sense of familiarity.

He was very satisfied in his heart and turned back to look at Xiqiu, "Thank you, Mother."

Xiqiu nodded with a smile, "I’m glad Min likes it." She paused and turned to Min’s nursemaid, "Your room is at the back." She pointed to a screen in another corner, "Behind that is a soft couch, if you keep watch at night, you can sleep there."

Min was still too young, not leaving anyone in the room at night indeed was worriso, Xiqiu wouldn’t force him on this!

Xiqiu instructed Chunliu and Chunyan to help Min put away the things he brought, and took Min to the main room. On the way, she said with a smile, "Min, since today is your first day moving in, we’ll celebrate tonight, to celebrate your new ho."

Min looked puzzled.

Xiqiu touched his scarred forehead and said, "Min still needs to avoid certain foods, but we can have sothing else. What does Min like to eat best?"

Min thought for a mont and quietly replied, "Dumplings!"

Xiqiu raised an eyebrow and squatted in front of him with a smile, "How about we make them ourselves?" She paused and added, "We can also invite Xing and Sheng to co over, and additionally pack so for Grandmother, First Uncle, and Second Aunt, and deliver so to Mr. Song."
