Principal Patrick bowed respectfully as Xander Erson walked out of his office.
But the mont they stepped outside, Taylor could not hold back his question.
"Boss, why did you spare Nate’s horoom teacher?" he asked, walking alongside Xander until they reached the car.
Just as Xander was about to step in, he paused.
"Because Patrick is going to handle him."
With that, he got into the car.
Taylor tilted his head, clearly confused. But instead of questioning further, he simply shrugged it off and slid into the passenger seat beside the driver.
anwhile, back inside the principal’s office, Patrick had just survived what felt like a full-scale war.
For a mont, he leaned back in his chair, trying to steady his breathing.
Then, just as quickly, his expression changed.
The nervousness vanished.
In its place ca sothing cold. Controlled.
Decisive.
Without wasting another second, he picked up the telephone and dialed a number.
"Mister Thorne, I want you in my office. Now."
He hung up before the other person could respond, his fingers tapping slowly against the desk as he waited.

Gavin was in the middle of work when his phone rang. The mont he saw the caller ID, he answered imdiately.
"Mister Thorne, is everything alright at the school?" Gavin’s voice was calm, but the aning beneath his words was clear to the man on the other end.
"Mr. Erson, you need to save . I am being fired from my job without any warning," Mister Thorne cried.
Gavin raised a brow, taken aback by the sound of a grown man nearly breaking down. "What are you saying, Mister Thorne? Why would they fire you?" he asked, keeping his tone steady.
Mister Thorne was not just Nate’s teacher but also Gavin’s informant, soone who kept him updated on everything happening within the school.
Fully aware of his son’s indecent behavior and his habit of bullying not only Leo but other students as well, Gavin had relied on Mister Thorne to keep things under control.
Whenever complaints surfaced, Mister Thorne would quietly inform Gavin, and the matter would be handled outside the academy without anyone suspecting a thing.
But this ti, things were different.
Nate had targeted Leo.
Not just any student, but his cousin... and more importantly, Xander Erson’s son.
That alone changed everything.
Mister Thorne had always believed that by helping Nate, he was earning Gavin’s favor. He had even hoped that one day, when the opportunity ca, he might secure a promotion, perhaps even the principal’s position.
But now, with his job on the line, everything was crumbling.
He had lost his chance, his future, and worst of all, he had co under Xander Erson’s notice.
What was the point of anything if no one would hire him again? he thought miserably, his panic growing.
"Please do sothing, Mr. Erson," he pleaded. "I have a family to look after and loans to pay on the house I recently bought."
He had earned well and believed it would continue. But now, he found himself cornered, and Gavin Erson was the only person who could help him.
Gavin went silent for a mont, thinking.
Then he spoke.
"Don’t worry, Mister Thorne. I will speak with Principal Patrick. But before that, you need to tell everything."
Hearing that assurance, relief flooded through Mister Thorne. Without hesitation, he began recounting everything that had happened in the principal’s office.
Clent Thorne knocked on the door before stepping inside. The mont he noticed Principal Patrick’s expression shift from cold to composed, his intuition imdiately picked up on it.
Sothing was off.
Still, he maintained his calm and walked forward.
"You called , Principal Patrick?" he asked with a polite smile.
"Yes, Mr. Thorne. Please, have a seat," Patrick said, his tone even, though the look in his eyes made Clent uneasy.
Principal Patrick was known for always carrying a friendly smile, maintaining good relations with everyone in the school. But only a few knew there was a thin line between that warmth and the cold authority beneath it.
Fortunately, over the years, Clent had managed to stay on his good side. He had always believed that when Patrick eventually retired, he would recomnd him as the next principal.
That belief gave him confidence.
At least until now.
Once seated, Clent waited for Patrick to speak. But instead, he watched as Patrick reached for an envelope on the table and slid it toward him.
Clent frowned.
"What is this, Principal Patrick?" he asked, a flicker of curiosity crossing his face. For a brief mont, he even wondered if it was a recomndation letter... or perhaps a promotion.
"Take a look for yourself, Mr. Thorne."
Clent hesitated for a second before opening the envelope. The mont his eyes landed on the first line of the docunt, the color drained from his face.
"Principal Patrick... w-what is this?" he stamred, fear creeping into his voice.
What unsettled him even more was the change in Patrick’s expression. The smile was gone.
In its place was sothing cold.
Unforgiving.
"You failed at your job, Clent," Patrick said flatly. "And now you are being dismissed. Pack your things while I am still being reasonable and leave the school."
Clent trembled, panic taking over as tears welled up in his eyes.
"Principal Patrick, what have I done wrong?" he pleaded. "I... I have always been responsible with my duties toward the students."
Patrick’s gaze hardened further.
"Then tell ," he cut in sharply, "why was I not inford that Nate has been bullying Leo?"
Clent froze.
"Do you think that does not fall under your responsibility as a teacher?" Patrick continued, his voice steady but cutting. "Or have you simply chosen to ignore it?"
Clent did not need ti to think. The mont Patrick ntioned Leo’s na, everything beca clear.
What he had believed he was handling carefully was no longer hidden.
Despite all his caution, he had been exposed.
Completely.
A faint smirk tugged at Patrick’s lips when he saw Clent go completely still. It was clear his words had landed exactly where they were ant to.
"It was nice working with you, Clent," Patrick said, his smile widening, almost too pleasantly.
Clent stood there, stunned into silence.
