Feng Lishu was much faster and cleaner in selecting vegetables than Yi Roujing.

"My mom’s cooking is terribly awful." Feng Lishu noticed Yi Roujing’s surprise and explained with a click of her tongue, "My dad loves my mom and is too embarrassed to say anything, so he cleans his plate every al. I can’t do that without feeling guilty, so I had to improve myself."

"I learned from the neighbor aunts and quite a few others, picked up a bit here and there, and now I’m the best cook in my family." Feng Lishu sighed, "My parents only have , and I used to be really worried about what they would do if I got married."

"Just find soone to help cook then." Yi Roujing suggested with a smile.

"That’s what I thought too, but my dad stepped up." Feng Lishu squinted her eyes with a smile, "Now my dad cooks better than my mom, so I don’t have to worry about them anymore."

Hearing this, Yi Roujing felt a warmth in her heart, such a lovely family, and inevitably thought of Ding Ancheng, her face turning red involuntarily, her expression softened, and her lips curved into a smile.

"Heh, heh, are you thinking of Mr. Ding?" Feng Lishu teased.

Yi Roujing’s face turned even redder, and her heart raced. Was she being that obvious?

"Isn’t Mr. Ding cooking for you too?" Feng Lishu leaned in and asked slyly.

Yi Roujing nodded slightly, "Because I can’t cook either, so he learned to cook."

"Wow—" Feng Lishu exclaid, "That’s great. I’ll find soone who can cook too, or at least wash vegetables."

Feng Lishu had seen too many married couples’ dynamics. In the power plant’s staff quarters, both husband and wife worked. After work, the n would lie on the bed or sit in a chair, acting like lords, while the won had to wash vegetables, start fires, cook, wash dishes... they had to work and serve their husbands, and if they had kids, they had to take care of them too.

Feng Lishu felt won had it too tough and unfair, why should won do so much? With this thought, she worked with more force.

"Yi Roujing, you have a package." A knock was heard, and Yi Roujing opened the door. A mail carrier, dressed in black uniform, was standing there with a bicycle. Hanging from the bike was a green cloth bag full of letters, and a large bamboo basket on the bike’s rear seat was full of packages.

"Is this young lady Yi Roujing?" the young man asked.

"Yes, I’m Yi Roujing."

The young man took out the largest package, helped move it to the doorway, and then handed over a letter, "Sent from the provincial city."

"Thank you, comrade." Yi Roujing thanked him with a smile, and seeing the young mailman leave, she moved the package into the house, the half-snake-skin bag was quite heavy.

Feng Lishu didn’t ask much, and Yi Roujing wasn’t in a rush to check the letter. She had just seen the envelope and knew it was from Sister Heping, nothing surprising, considering they got this house with Aunt Hanjuan’s help. Knowing the address was no big deal.

"Knock, knock—sister-in-law."

Yi Roujing’s eyes lit up, quickly went to open the door, "Anguo is back."

"Yeah, I’m here to cook." Ding Anguo smiled as he carried his bicycle inside. As soon as he stepped in, he saw Feng Lishu washing sothing at the counter with her back to the door.

Feng Lishu turned her head, her eyes caught on the sunny and handso Ding Anguo, unable to look away. Ding Anguo smiled, nodded at her, placed his bicycle under the grape arbor, then went to fetch water to clean the bike.

Ding Anguo cleaned the bike, washed his hands, and went straight into the kitchen, soon the sounds of chopping vegetables ca from the kitchen.

"Roujing, is that your brother-in-law?" Feng Lishu, still holding dripping water spinach, unknowingly sidled up to Yi Roujing, nudging her inquisitively.

"Yes." Yi Roujing nodded slightly.

"Looks like he’s young, won’t be underage, right?" Feng Lishu asked curiously. She’d only seen Yi Roujing’s husband Ding Ancheng, knew of her sister-in-law and third brother working at the food factory, but the rest were not ntioned by Yi Roujing, nor had she asked.

"He’s an adult, Anguo and Anmin are twins, the sa age as us." Yi Roujing said.

"Sa age, huh, that’s good." Feng Lishu smiled.

Seeing this, Yi Roujing slightly raised an eyebrow, "You’re not..."

"I am." Feng Lishu was sowhat excited but rembered to lower her voice, "You have such a good match at ho, why not introduce him to ."

Yi Roujing’s mouth twitched slightly, "Sis, you just t him briefly, don’t know anything, how can you say he’s good?"

"Hey, your Ding Ancheng is so outstanding, how bad can his brother be?" Feng Lishu clicked her tongue in mock chiding, "Roujing, you can’t do this, it’s doubting your husband’s capability, not good, not good."

"What kind of girl does Anguo like?" Feng Lishu pressed on.

"How would I know?" Yi Roujing chuckled, "Besides, you could just transform, whatever he likes you beco that."

"That’s not impossible." Feng Lishu promptly placed the vegetables she had just selected into the basket, seeing there was a small bundle of water spinach in her hand still, she put that in too, then rushed into the kitchen.

"Sorry to bother, I’m Feng Lishu, a colleague of Sister Roujing’s. I happened to et her on the street today. My parents are not ho; the house is empty, so I shalessly ca over to sponge a al. By the way, I can cook, let help..."

In the courtyard, Yi Roujing listened to Feng Lishu’s chattering voice. The scene seed familiar, only the roles reversed. Do young people in the city really pursue their happiness like this?

Before long, Ding Ancheng, Ding Anmin, Yi Weiliang, and Xia Xingchen all returned one by one, and the seven of them gathered excitedly around the table to eat.

Feng Lishu had a lively personality, chatting effortlessly with Ding Anmin, with Xia Xingchen occasionally joining in. The three got along well.

After lunch, those who had to work didn’t stay much longer and left, leaving Yi Roujing and Feng Lishu in the courtyard again.

"Sister Roujing, Anguo doesn’t have a girlfriend yet, right?" Feng Lishu inquired.

"I don’t think so, but I’m not too sure either." Yi Roujing felt that most likely he didn’t, but she wasn’t sure if Ding Anguo had a girl he liked.

"Where does Anguo work?" Feng Lishu asked.

"County Governnt, he’s a clerk in the County Governnt Office."

"My mom also works in the County Governnt, in the Departnt of Publicity." Feng Lishu said excitedly, "I wonder if they’ve seen each other."

Heh, heh, even if they have, so what, Yi Roujing thought this girl was quite spontaneous.

"Tomorrow’s the weekend, let take you all out to a movie to repay for today’s two als, you can’t refuse, call everyone at ho." Feng Lishu’s eyes fixed heatedly on Yi Roujing.

"ntion it yourself at dinner, I don’t want to take on this task." Yi Roujing didn’t want to shoulder this.

"Alright then, I’ll do it, by the way, I’ll cook dinner, let see what’s suitable." Feng Lishu couldn’t sit still, "Right, I’ll quickly go ho once, or do you want to co with ."
