Transmigrated as Cannon Fodder — I Rise to Female Lead Through Hard Work Chapter 22: Questioned
"I’ve seen a lot." Yi Roujing replied.
"Have you studied this knowledge before?" Ding Anmin asked curiously.
Yi Roujing nodded. She wasn’t lying, after all, her previous experiences were still there, and it was sothing she learned herself—a type of ergency response thod.
"I didn’t expect this side of you." Ding Anmin looked at Yi Roujing with sothing more in her eyes, then quickly flashed a regretful look, "Oh dear, I should have let my elder brother see this."
Yi Roujing turned her head in confusion, and Ding Anmin said matter-of-factly, "This counts as one of your strengths, a rare one at that, and seeing this might change my elder brother’s opinion about you."
"I don’t need that." Yi Roujing felt a bit powerless, what was going on, weren’t the Ding Family supposed to dislike her, and weren’t they supposed to break up the marriage rigidly? Why was everyone suddenly helping out now?
"Tsk, you don’t strive when you should be working hard." Ding Anmin said, as if hating the iron for not becoming steel.
"Have you ever considered letting your elder brother divorce ?" Yi Roujing couldn’t hold back from asking her question, "Aren’t you all supposed to dislike ?"
Ding Anmin was extrely surprised, "What are you thinking about, how could I ever want such a thing, our family doesn’t interfere in our children’s marriages."
"When my brother married you, even though there was a reason, it was with his personal agreent, making you the head daughter-in-law of our family."
"Do you really think that your scheming would make my brother give a hundred percent agreent?"
Surprise glinted in Yi Roujing’s eyes, "Isn’t that so?"
Ding Anmin gave Yi Roujing a glare, "My brother’s got enough ability to make many girls like him, honestly, you’ve underestimated your husband."
"Am I the beard?" Yi Roujing mumbled, "Is your brother really into n..."
Yi Roujing fell silent in ti, probably not, otherwise he wouldn’t have had a happy life with the female lead.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing."
"Even though you haven’t thought things through before, you’re still quite kind-hearted." Ding Anmin said in an objective evaluation.
Kind-hearted Yi Roujing, "Hmm, you have good eyesight."
Ding Anmin laughed in frustration, unable to complint.
"Is Doctor Zhang in?"
"Hello, Doctor Yang, yes, he is." The nurse at the obstetrics door stood up and greeted with a smile.
"This is my friend." Yang Cuishan introduced Hu Heping, and the nurse imdiately understood when she saw Hu Heping’s large belly.
"Doctor Yang, I’ll go in first to take a look." After saying that, the nurse entered the consultation room where Doctor Zhang was seeing patients.
The nurse ca out shortly, invited Yang Cuishan and Hu Heping in, "Doctor Zhang doesn’t like too many people while diagnosing."
"Zhixin, rest assured, I’ll take good care of your sister-in-law."
Yi Roujing, Ding Anmin and Hao Zhixin were sitting on the bench outside waiting.
The familiar scent of antiseptic made Yi Roujing feel at ease and relaxed in such an environnt. The most important thing for a dical student is practice. Although still a graduate student, she has already been learning at the hospital with her ntor, which is where she spends most of her ti.
"Which one of you is Yi Roujing?" The nurse ca out again and walked over to the three, asking.
"That’s ." Yi Roujing stood up and t the nurse’s gaze.
At a height of 1.65 ters, she was slightly taller than the nurse, and her calm deanor emanated a certain aura that inexplicably startled the nurse, as well as Yi Roujing’s looks that astonished her even more at close range, with her porcelain-smooth skin seemingly poreless.
"Hello, comrade, Doctor Zhang wants to see you, um, you..."
"Sure." Yi Roujing nodded, waiting for the nurse to lead the way.
"Sister-in-law—" Ding Anmin felt sowhat anxious.
"Don’t worry, it’s fine." Yi Roujing knew what Doctor Zhang wanted to ask, after all, the Heimlich maneuver wasn’t widely known in this era.
With Yi Roujing’s gentle reassurance, Ding Anmin felt a bit more composed.
Once Yi Roujing entered, Hao Zhixin looked at Ding Anmin with sparkling eyes, "Your sister-in-law is amazing."
"Not bad, not bad." Ding Anmin replied with a guilty conscience.
The consultation room was simply furnished, with dusty-gray walls, a wooden bench, and a yellowed desk. The doctor in a white coat sat behind it appearing to be in his forties or fifties; Hu Heping was seated with her back to the door, but upon Yi Roujing’s entrance, she turned around, eyes filled with excitent and gratitude.
"Was it you who saved this comrade?" Doctor Zhang looked at Yi Roujing with surprise in his eyes, she was too young.
"Yes." Yi Roujing nodded in acknowledgnt.
"May I ask what thod you used?" Doctor Zhang asked with so excitent, "Previously, people who were choked and brought to the hospital were already suffocated. It’s the first ti I’ve seen a choked patient expel a foreign body and then receive treatnt."
"Just below the sternum, quick inward and upward thrusts until the foreign object is expelled from the airway." Yi Roujing explained, "Considering Heping is pregnant, usually the thrusts would be perford on the abdon."
"For infants, the chest and back are supported and pressed alternately." Yi Roujing explained in detail, and Doctor Zhang listened intently, growing increasingly excited.
"May I know which hospital this comrade works at?" Yang Cuishan suddenly asked, her gaze analyzing Yi Roujing.
Yi Roujing wanted to sigh but could only honestly reply, "I’m not a doctor yet, I’m working towards that goal."
Yang Cuishan’s lips curled into a sarcastic smile, "So what you said earlier was baseless, and you dared to experint on Heping. Do you realize the risk of a double fatality, can you bear that?"
"Cuishan, don’t talk nonsense." Hu Heping disagreed.
Yi Roujing slightly raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a hint of a smile, and looked at Yang Cuishan with a playful gaze, "Who told you my thod was baseless? It’s just that Doctor Yang is ignorant."
Yang Cuishan’s face instantly froze, turning various shades of red and white, "Then might I ask where your so-called basis cos from, comrade?"
"Why should I tell you?" Yi Roujing laughed, "Sharing the ergency thod with Doctor Zhang out of my goodwill was my initial intention, whether to implent it is up to the hospital and doctors."
"Whether you believe it or not has nothing to do with , if you truly have the virtue of a doctor’s benevolence, even if you don’t believe in , you should try to verify the thod rather than question after I saved soone."
Yi Roujing shot a aningful smile at Yang Cuishan and then turned to ask, "Doctor Zhang, don’t you agree?"
"Comrade, you spoke perfectly." Doctor Zhang, looking at Yi Roujing with admiration in his eyes, "I believe you will undoubtedly beco an outstanding doctor."
Doctor Zhang’s words caused Yang Cuishan’s face to darken with dissatisfaction directly.
"By the way, how should I address you, comrade?" Doctor Zhang asked with a chuckle.
"Yi Roujing."
