Xie Chenyan is now vague about Ding Ancheng and Yi Roujing’s social network, but to make the Zou Family back off and even apologize in person, you need so background, yet she stayed at County First Middle School for a while and didn’t notice anything different, so she’s quite puzzled.

But she doesn’t care about these things; she is set on Yi Weiliang and will be the Yi Family’s daughter-in-law, and that’s all she needs to understand.

"Mom and Dad, even if we are to separate from the family, we can still live together. If we can buy a house in the city, that would be the best; if we miss this chance, who knows if there will be another. Why don’t we borrow from my brother-in-law for now? Once the three of us brothers start earning wages, we can pay back a part of it to him every month," Yi Weiliang pondered and said.

"I think little brother-in-law is right," Pan Kexia imdiately agreed. A house in the city, as long as there’s a house, the roots are surely planted in the city for a lifeti.

Ding Ancheng understood the concerns of Yi Shunyin and Liu Huilan, and imdiately calculated, "The combined monthly wages of the three brother-in-laws is about seventy yuan. Starting from next month, once Mom and Dad also move to the city and begin working, their wages could add another thirty yuan, making it about twelve hundred yuan a year."

"Once daily living expenses are subtracted, a significant amount can be saved over the year, and it won’t take long to buy a house for one thousand eight hundred yuan."

Thinking about it that way, it’s actually quite fast; it won’t take many years.

"I’ll also keep an eye out for jobs for the two sister-in-laws; that would be even more," Ding Ancheng added, having noted the eagerness in their eyes.

"Son-in-law, you’re really wonderful," Weng Hefeng said excitedly, even using the formal "you" in her address.

Pan Kexia began to think actively, realizing that Ding Ancheng’s care for their family was all out of regard for Yi Roujing. "Little sister-in-law, you must be thirsty; I’ll peel a lon for you. We planted a few in our private plot this year and got quite a few, they’re sweet."

Weng Hefeng looked at Pan Kexia and was surprised at her behavior; she wised up, her mind beca flexible, knowing who to be kind to in order to get sothing in return, not wasting the effort of those who had always lent a hand.

"When the house is being renovated, you can stay at our place first," Yi Roujing invited.

"I think it might be better to stay at my place first," Xie Chenyan spoke with a blush, "Anyway, Weiliang and I are going to get our marriage certificate on Monday, so it would be reasonable for Father and Mother to stay at my place first."

Liu Huilan was touched by Xie Chenyan’s offer, "Thank you, child, but it’s not necessary."

"Ancheng, why don’t we first take a look at the house, if it’s not too run-down and livable, it would be better to stay there. Anyway, we can move quilts from ho, and there’s no need to get too many things," Liu Huilan said to Ding Ancheng.

"Sure, I’ll pick you up at the station then," Ding Ancheng readily agreed.

Dingping Production Team, Ding Weihuo and Li Hongying ca back today with their children for the festival and to handle the household registration transfer.

Ding Weihuo asked Ding Anguo to invite Captain Ding Xiaoding and his family over for dinner, and Li Hongying prepared a whole table full of dishes.

Ding Xiaoding looked at Ding Weihuo and his wife with a sense of wonder, knowing that Ding Ancheng had done well, but not expecting him to do so exceptionally well. Even after finding his biological father, he still didn’t forget to be filial to his foster parents, bringing them into the city to enjoy a good life, truly enviable.

"I had the certificate ready a long ti ago, but since you hadn’t co to the village, I was thinking, if you didn’t co by, I’d deliver it to you the next ti I went to the city." Before the al, Ding Xiaoding first took out the certificate that had been stamped, smiling as he handed it to Ding Weihuo.

"Thank you, Captain," Ding Weihuo poured a drink for Ding Xiaoding, while Li Hongying chatted with Huang Kaiying and even left them the address in the city, saying that they can co find them there if anything cos up.

Even though the household registration is transferred, the house here remains; both Ding Weihuo and Li Hongying expressed that they will always be part of the Dingping Production Team, touching Ding Xiaoding into drinking a few more cups.

Ding Weihuo and Li Hongying agreed to stay in the city; Yi Roujing’s pregnancy was one reason, but if not for Ding Ancheng finding a job for Ding Weihuo, he would never have gone to the city.

After National Day, Ding Weihuo is going to beco one of the staff at the waste recycling station, the very place where Yi Roujing found Agarwood.

Originally, the waste recycling station had two staff mbers, an old man they’d t before and a young man, but the young man found a better job, leaving the position vacant, which conveniently went to Ding Weihuo.

There’s a monthly wage of fourteen yuan and so coupons; it’s certainly better than farming.

Li Hongying has to take care of everyone’s food and drink needs, and the priority task of Yi Roujing; she can’t go to work until after Yi Roujing has given birth, then she’ll help look after the child, she’ll be busy.

After hosting Ding Xiaoding and his family, Li Hongying began making tender and soft braised pork. She discovered that Yi Roujing loves noodles, so she varied the nu to make them delicious. Today, she plans to make stuffed pancakes, a northern specialty, a recipe she learned from northern-knowledgeable youth who ca to the area back then.

Stuffed pancakes as the main course, accompanied by a bowl of chicken noodle soup and two stir-fried vegetables, this would suffice for dinner.

But today is Mid-Autumn Festival, so Li Hongying also stead red beans and washed salted duck eggs, intending to make mooncakes. Originally planning to make simple red bean paste filling, she heard Yi Roujing ntion wanting to eat salty egg yolk-flavored ones, so she had salted the duck eggs early just to make mooncakes today.

Li Hongying busied herself all afternoon, and before the sun set, Ding Ancheng and Yi Roujing arrived ho.

As soon as they entered the house, Yi Roujing slled the fragrance filling the yard, and Li Hongying, hearing the commotion, ca out from the kitchen with a tray, neatly laden with mooncakes.

"Just ca out of the oven, co taste the salted egg yolk red bean paste ones you wanted," Li Hongying, holding the tray in one hand, took Yi Roujing’s hand and led her under the shade tree.

There was already a table and chairs set up under the tree with plenty of food on it, "Just taste a little for now, dinner is almost ready, we’ll have stuffed pancakes and chicken noodle soup tonight."

"Mom, let’s eat the mooncakes together while viewing the moon at night, I’ll wait for dinner," Yi Roujing said, looking at the mooncakes still steaming slightly.

"Alright, then I’ll go and cook the noodles now, it’ll be quick," Li Hongying replied, smiling, returning to the kitchen. To avoid the noodles getting mushy, she had waited for everyone to arrive before cooking them.

Under the autumn breeze and the glow of the setting sun, they happily ate a big bowl of chicken noodle soup and two stuffed pancakes in the courtyard, leaving Yi Roujing content.

"Mom, your cooking is truly amazing," Yi Roujing looked at Li Hongying, eyes full of happiness.

"Whenever you want to eat sothing, just let know and I’ll make it for you," Li Hongying said with a gratified smile.

"Ancheng, how did the talk with your father-in-law and mother-in-law go?" Ding Weihuo asked with concern.

"It went well, they’ll transfer their household registration to the city as soon as possible," Ding Ancheng replied. "The work arrangents are almost finalized, as long as there’s inco, there’s nothing to worry about."

"That’s good to hear."

The courtyard was filled with joy and harmony, and when the moon rose high, sipping sweetwater, gazing at the bright, disk-like moon, eating the equally round mooncakes, the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere was just perfect.
