Transmigrated as Cannon Fodder — I Rise to Female Lead Through Hard Work Chapter 345: Just Say My Name
When Yi Roujing sparred with Deng Yiyi, the onlookers watched. Those from the compound knew it was just regular training, but those without such a foundation felt Yi Roujing was being ruthless and showed no rcy. However, after watching Yi Roujing spar with Hua Yiran, everyone realized that Yi Roujing had been holding back when sparring with Deng Yiyi; she had actually been considerate.
"I didn’t expect Yi Roujing to be so formidable," Cheng Yijin marvelled from the edge of the training field, watching Yi Roujing and Hua Yiran continue exchanging moves.
Deng Yiyi’s expression darkened. She made the suggestion to teach Yi Roujing a lesson and to test her, only to be soundly defeated. She also knew Hua Yiran’s nature; a martial arts enthusiast like her would give Yi Roujing a hard ti. Yet, the outco was unexpected.
How could Yi Roujing possess such skills? It didn’t make sense. She had investigated Yi Roujing’s past; if she had such prowess, how could she have been pushed into a river and caught a fever, or argue like a shrew? A fight would have solved it.
Could it be everything was intentional before—to draw attention—and once she achieved the goal of marrying Xu Ancheng, she returned to her true self? It must be so. Otherwise, how could Xu Ancheng be so captivated by her? It was all a sche.
"Sister-in-law, Yiran, isn’t it about ti? It’s nearly lunchti," Ni Yan’an reminded, as the two continued their sparring after dozens of moves without showing signs of stopping.
They both used the sa spinning kick, and after clashing, they retreated a step each, taking advantage of the break to stop. Despite the cold weather, they were both slightly sweating.
"Roujing, impressive skills," Hua Yiran’s eyes were full of admiration, "You’re the first woman in years to spar with like this, and I’m not your equal."
Hearing this, Deng Yiyi quickly approached, "Yiran, you’re too modest. How could you not be equal? Watching from the side, you seed evenly matched."
"Yes, Yiran, don’t be so modest. You’re amazing, just didn’t expect Roujing to be this impressive," Shu Yujie added, knowing how her friend was obsessed with martial arts. If soone surpasses one’s pride, most would feel uncomfortable.
"No, I’m not being modest," Hua Yiran’s eyes shone, "Roujing, can I visit you next ti to practice together? After all, we’re both at Jing University."
Yi Roujing nodded, "Sure."
Seeing Hua Yiran unfazed, only filled with interest and fighting spirit, Shu Yujie laughed. It seed she overthought—her Yiran couldn’t possibly be one to harbor narrow-mindedness.
Baozi walked over to Yi Roujing and whispered, "Mommy, does it hurt? Is Aunt Yiran hurt?"
"Roujing, you know what to do, right? We went a bit hard today; make sure to massage and relax later," Hua Yiran reminded.
"Yes, I know."
Indeed, talking with a like-minded soul is so effortless.
"Alright, let’s go eat," Ni Yan’an suggested.
The group left the training field, Yi Roujing carrying Baozi, asking, "Were you scared?"
"No," Baozi shook his head. "Just thought Mommy was amazing. I’ll practice well in the future."
Currently, Baozi is trained by Xu Ancheng every morning with running and horse-stance training—basic exercises. Xu Ancheng taught within Baozi’s tolerance. Seeing Yi Roujing’s dashing deanor today ignited the little one’s heart; he wants to be just as powerful.
When they reached the main hall, the tables and chairs were neatly arranged, and so cold dishes were already on the table. Many were there, including the protagonists.
Yi Roujing and her group greeted Ni Yan’an and Old Master Ni.
"I heard you sparred with Yiran?" Old Master Ni asked as Yi Roujing prepared to continue her courtesies.
"Yes," Yi Roujing replied concisely.
"I heard you matched evenly with Yiran?" Old Master Ni’s eyes showed interest.
"I enjoyed exercising since I was a child. I built a good foundation and seem to have so talent in this area. Later, with Ancheng’s guidance, I improved quickly," Yi Roujing said with a smile.
"Good, good," Old Master Ni nodded, smiling at Yi Roujing.
This was the first ti Yi Roujing felt valued by the Ni Family since arriving. Do they like won skilled in martial arts?
"Ancheng’s skills are indeed quite good, but you stand out," Old Master Ni chuckled, "You should co with Ancheng often. You can use the training field here."
Yi Roujing smiled upon hearing this, "Thank you, Old Master Ni; the training field is indeed impressive—blood-boiling even."
"Good, good." Only those who truly love martial arts would feel such passion. Old Master Ni’s gaze towards Yi Roujing softened considerably.
"Find yourselves a seat. After sparring, you should eat more."
"Yes," Yi Roujing respectfully replied and then took Baozi to Hua Yiran’s table.
Although the main hall was large, Hua Yiran’s table was not far from Old Master Ni’s, so their conversation was overheard.
"Let’s spar again next ti," Hua Yiran bead, "Old Master Ni rarely lets people use the training field at his house; he must be impressed with you."
Yi Roujing smiled and nodded.
Deng Yiyi was fuming internally. Today, she acted foolishly, underestimating her opponent before knowing her abilities and unwittingly helped Yi Roujing infiltrate the Ni Family. It was maddening—she didn’t receive such a treatnt.
Soon after, Xu Ancheng and his group, alongside Ni Yanqing, arrived at the main hall. Yi Roujing imdiately felt Xu Ancheng’s gaze, silently conveying "don’t worry," earning a smile from him.
"Oh wow, exchanging aningful glances already," Shu Yujie teased, winking at Yi Roujing.
"So are just so magnanimous," Deng Yiyi suddenly comnted, "Able to associate well with their rival and even treating the rival’s friends similarly. Such broad-mindedness."
"Oh dear, our baby didn’t hear that, didn’t hear at all," Shu Yujie said as she covered Baozi’s ears, then raised her eyebrows at Deng Yiyi.
"Just say my na outright instead of insinuating. I don’t feel ashad," Shu Yujie laughed, "No matter what, I’m more upright than soone who fancies another’s spouse."
"You..." Deng Yiyi was genuinely shocked that Shu Yujie would disgrace her in front of so many people.
"You didn’t think I valued you much, did you?" Shu Yujie chuckled, "If it weren’t for Yiran, do you think I’d willingly interact with you? It’s laughably absurd."
Of course, Baozi heard everything. His senses were remarkably sharp, but he acted as if he hadn’t, calmly continuing to eat the strawberry An’an had just tucked into his hand. As long as Mommy wasn’t wronged, he didn’t need to speak up.
