"Big brother, sister-in-law, when are we going ho?" Anmin asked, feeling a bit uneasy. With the Hu Family being so busy, it was inappropriate for them to stay and trouble them.

"Tomorrow we’ll go to the hospital to see Heping, and personally tell her that we’re leaving," Yi Roujing said, and Ding Ancheng agreed.

"You’re leaving?" Yuan Xiangyu, who was also having a late-night snack, asked. She was really hungry, having wasted a bowl of noodles earlier, and then stayed in the hospital where she was too worried about Hu Heping to eat. It wasn’t until she got back here that she had a proper al.

Yuan Xiangyu wasn’t a bad person; at least she knew how to recognize her mistakes and correct them. As soon as she arrived, she apologized to the maid who was about to make a late-night snack and sincerely reflected on herself, expressing that she shouldn’t vent her emotions on others and promised not to do so again.

Now sitting at the table with Yi Roujing and the others, she ate two full bowls of noodles, wholeheartedly expressing how delicious they were.

Previously, when Hu Zhishu was going to the hospital, she had also wanted to go but wasn’t allowed. Now that Hu Heping and her child were safe, Hu Zhishu’s attitude towards Yuan Xiangyu improved, telling her to rest well, as she had taken a long train journey to get here.

Yuan Xiangyu could see Hu Zhishu and the others’ favorable attitude towards Yi Roujing and the group. She shalessly asked the maid, who explained that these people were Hu Heping’s lifesavers.

Being of a similar age, Yuan Xiangyu had hoped to play together for a few days, but surprisingly they were leaving. She blurted out and asked.

"Yes," Yi Roujing smiled at Yuan Xiangyu and nodded.

"Hey, your na is Yi Roujing, right? I’m Yuan Xiangyu, nineteen years old, from Jing City," Yuan Xiangyu introduced herself.

"Yes, I’m Yi Roujing. This is my husband Ding Ancheng, my brother-in-law Ding Anguo, and my sister-in-law Ding Anmin. We are from Huaixi County. Anmin and I are the sa age as you," Yi Roujing replied, as she already had a good impression of Yuan Xiangyu and thus reciprocated the introduction.

Yuan Xiangyu looked at the four of them carefully and sincerely complinted, "Your whole family looks so good; I haven’t seen many people in Jing City as good-looking as you and your husband."

"Thank you, you look very pretty too," Yi Roujing said sincerely. Yuan Xiangyu had fair skin, eyes like grapes, dark and bright, and when she smiled, it was like a crescent moon, giving a sense of kinship. Her nose was small, lips slightly thin, and her thick, slightly wavy long hair made her look like a doll.

"I am good-looking, but not as much as you," Yuan Xiangyu answered seriously.

"Pft—" Anmin laughed. She hadn’t expected Yuan Xiangyu to have such a personality; she thought she would be more of a spoiled princess.

"Why are you laughing?" Yuan Xiangyu asked quizzically.

"It’s my first ti seeing soone praise themselves and others so straightforwardly," Anmin responded. "Most people don’t easily admit that others are better than themselves."

"Everyone with eyes can see the truth; I’m not one to lie through my teeth," Yuan Xiangyu took the opportunity to joke. "I ca to Jiangcheng because I was too honest. I was retaliated against for telling a girl in Jing City that she wasn’t pretty, and was forced to run away. I wasn’t wrong though."

Yuan Xiangyu was indignant. "You haven’t seen that girl; her nose is like a strawberry, her eyes are so small that even when open, they seem closed. Her mouth looks like a sausage, and she’s so dark, extrely dark."

"People like that love wearing bright-colored clothes like yellow, green, and blue. Do you think it’s bearable to look at? But she does have a capable father."

"The girls close to her are so sycophantic, showering her with flattery without restraint, I couldn’t stand to listen, and that girl foolishly believed them, dressing up like a flag and being treated like a fool. I couldn’t bear to watch or listen."

"I exposed their unethical behavior in person, trying to make that girl see reality and human nature."

Yuan Xiangyu concluded with open hands, "Well, she holds a grudge against . I’m so wronged."

Anmin laughed until she was bent over, giving Yuan Xiangyu a thumbs up. "This is what they call good intentions gone wrong."

"That girl’s father is indeed capable, causing trouble for my family. My mom personally took to apologize. But I didn’t do anything wrong, so why should I apologize?"

"When I went, I told that girl that although it’s true she’s ugly, I don’t look down on her. I just don’t want her to be deceived. Making friends should be genuine; real friendships aren’t about looks, but about sincerity."

"I tried to reason with her, but I don’t know if it got through; she just kept crying, almost like ng Jiangnv. In the end, her mom kicked us out, and then my parents sent here to avoid trouble."

"I’m so pitiful." As Yuan Xiangyu spoke, her eyes reddened. "But my cousin is even more unfortunate, implicated by . Luckily both mother and child are safe, yet when I go back, I’m sure I’ll get a double beating with a feather duster."

"You need to learn from your mistakes," Anmin patted Yuan Xiangyu’s back and suggested, "Next ti, you better keep your temper in check."

"My mom also said that," Yuan Xiangyu looked at Anmin, eyes still red. "You’re a good person. My mom says only those who tell you the truth are sincerely looking out for you."

"Your mom raised you well," Yi Roujing said with a smile.

"But there are people who don’t like to hear the truth, I’ve found." Yuan Xiangyu’s expression grew a bit sad. "I actually don’t have many friends because I speak frankly and often tell the truth; they don’t like it and gradually distanced themselves."

"As you said, true friends won’t behave like that. A true friend is hard to co by; having one or two in life is enough," Yi Roujing said. "You will find them, don’t worry."

"Then let’s try to be friends, what do you think?" Yuan Xiangyu looked at Yi Roujing and Anmin. After all, it was the first ti anyone had ever said such words to her.

In the past, friends she thought she had slowly distanced themselves without explaining, growing colder, which made her uncomfortable. She was soone who liked to speak her mind and felt she was similar to Yi Roujing and Anmin.

Yi Roujing hesitated for a mont, while Anmin nodded, "Sure, as the saying goes, ’At ho, rely on your parents; outside, rely on friends.’"

"I just like your straightforward personality," Yuan Xiangyu said excitedly. "Whenever you co to Jing City, look for , and I’ll show you around. Next ti I visit Huaixi County, you have to show around too."

Yuan Xiangyu imdiately got up to fetch pen and paper, writing down her ho phone number and address. "You should write your contact information too, so I can write to you and call you often."

And so, the three exchanged contact details and had a pleasant conversation. Finally, Ding Ancheng and Ding Anguo each returned to their rooms, leaving space for the ladies.
