I, as usual, began my day with a sense of routine and detachnt, a result of the countless lifetis I had lived.
My emotions had beco sothing I could control with ease, a necessary skill given my unusual circumstances.
Today was the day for selecting students for the practical session in the infamous 'Black Forest,' where I had once put that unruly Lizard in its place. I led a group of students into the forest, knowing the dangers that lurked within.
However, I soon sensed so students veering away from the group. At first, I assud they were simply exploring the vicinity. The sa boy with golden eyes with the extraordinary physical strength trailed behind them, which put at ease, considering they would soon co from the forest.
I waited patiently for their return, given that I had placed certain restrictions on their movents. Ti passed, and I began to grow concerned as they failed to rejoin the group. Even the arguntative girl, gifted with her Intuition ability, had ventured ahead of them, ensuring their safety—or so I thought.
Then, a familiar and dreaded roar pierced the air, echoing the one from the ti I had dealt with that troubleso Lizard. I should have eradicated the creature back then.
In an instant, I teleported to their location, simultaneously creating an illusion to conceal my presence from the remaining students.
As I arrived, my heart sank at the scene of utter destruction. The ominous black Dragon lood nacingly, and my eyes quickly landed on the girl, who was now sobbing uncontrollably, paralyzed with grief. My thoughts imdiately turned to the boy who was always by her side. I heightened my senses, feeling the presence of the boy within the Dragon's nacing maw.
I teleported right in front of the colossal beast, which seed to recognize despite my altered appearance. It launched an Oga attack, and my thoughts were solely on the unconscious boy trapped within its jaws.
I summoned a protective barrier around his frail body. It was a struggle due to the boy's location inside the Dragon's scales that was sowhat resistant to outside mana, but the child still clung to life, his artifact surprisingly channeling mana to reinforce my barrier.
The Dragon unleashed its devastating breath, and I employed spatial magic to redirect the energy into the sky, away from the forest. Finally, I managed to catch the boy.
For the first ti in countless lifetis,
I allowed myself to be consud by emotions.
Anger burned fiercely as I glared at the Dragon,
which now seed to experience what it truly ant to feel terror.
Without hesitation, I used Disintegrate on the Dragon, watching its body crumble and dissolve.
The suffering and pain I witnessed in the boy's condition brought back painful mories of my own child's anguish, who had suffered just like this child. With a heavy heart, I teleported, carefully managing my mana to protect the grieving girl, preventing her from getting any harm.
