Now reading: Chapter 5; Old Master Lu from Transmigrated as the Pregnant Villainess: Mr Lu. This Heir is Yours., a Romance novel by KimLi0078.

His eyes locked on Su Wan.

Because in the original novel, the old man’s collapse was blad on her. The original Su Wan had been accused of causing the shock, of delivering news so vile it stopped the old man’s heart. She had been banished from the hospital. Forbidden from seeing the grandfather who had once been her only ally.

And this ti—

Soone had already set another trap.

Su Wan felt the weight of every gaze turn toward her.

But she didn’t flinch.

She had read this scene.

And she already knew—

She wasn’t walking into the trap.

She was walking through it.

Chaos erupted.

Doctors rushed past. Nurses shouted. The entire VIP floor of Lu Group Hospital descended into panic.

"Cardiac distress!"

"Move!"

"Hurry!"

Lu Shaohan turned and strode toward the ergency ward, his expression colder than Su Wan had yet seen, his calm had cracked.

Su Wan followed closely.

And the mont she entered the ergency corridor, her blood ran cold.

On the hospital bed, an old man convulsed violently. Oxygen mask slipping. Pulse monitor screaming. And surrounding him, were doctors who had frozen. Hesitating.

The wrong dication was laid on the tray and the wrong procedure was perford.

In a flash, the original novel’s mory surfaced.

This wasn’t a heart attack.

It was a drug reaction.

Soone had tampered with Old Master Lu’s dicine. And if they administered that injection, he would die. Then all the bla would fall on her.

Another trap.

---

Su Wan moved before thinking.

"Stop!"

Her voice cracked through the room.

And everyone froze. One doctor snapped angrily, "Mrs. Lu, step back—"

Su Wan pointed at the syringe. "Don’t inject that."

Silence.

Then the doctor scoffed. "What do you know?"

But Su Wan’s gaze sharpened. "If you give him that, he’ll go into shock in under three minutes."

Even the room stilled.

Then, Lu Shaohan turned. His dark eyes were fixed on her dark and unreadable.

"You’re interfering in my grandfather’s treatnt?"

Su Wan looked directly at him without fright. "No. I’m saving his life."

The arrogance in her actions and voice, the audacity. It stunned everyone.

Including him.

---

The senior physician hesitated.

And in that hesitation, Old Master Lu’s monitor scread. His pulse dropped. Fast.

Su Wan shoved past them. Grabbed the dication tray and knocked the syringe to the floor.

Crash—

Glass shattered.

And gasps echoed.

Then she barked, "Change to atropine. Now."

No one moved.

So she turned and looked straight at Lu Shaohan.

"Either you trust ... or watch your grandfather die."

Silence. Heavy. Deadly.

Then the impossible happened.

Lu Shaohan spoke. "Do as she says."

---

The room exploded into motion.

dicine changed. Injection administered.

Seconds dragged by.

One.

Two.

Three—

Then the monitor stabilized.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

It beca steady.

Alive.

The room fell silent. No one breathed.

Because she was right.

She had saved Old Master Lu’s life.

---

The old doctor stared at Su Wan in disbelief. "How did you know...?"

But Su Wan didn’t answer.

Because she felt it.

A gaze.

Burning.

She looked up and saw, Lu Shaohan staring at her. Not coldly. Not cruelly.

But as if he was seeing her for the first ti.

Then his voice ca low almost suspicious.

"Su Wan..."

He stepped closer. Too close that she could hear his heartbeat.

"Who exactly are you?"

---

In the corner, Su Yao’s face had turned white.

Because if Su Wan could change this part of the plot— what else could she change?

And for the first ti— Su Yao felt fear.

The ergency ward was silent.

Only the steady rhythm of the heart monitor remained.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Alive.

Old Master Lu was alive. And everyone in the room knew, it was because of Su Wan.

The senior physician lowered his head, sweat beading at his temples. "I... misjudged the reaction."

Misjudged?

Su Wan’s eyes cooled.

No. Soone had intended to murder.

But before she could speak, a rough voice ca from the hospital bed.

"...Shaohan."

The room froze.

Old Master Lu’s fingers moved and his eyes slowly opened.

"Grandfather!"

For the first ti, a genuine alarm flashed across Lu Shaohan’s face as he stepped forward.

The old man looked weak. But sharp. Very sharp.

His gaze moved, past Lu Shaohan, past the doctors, and landed on Su Wan.

He stared at her for a long ti. Then slowly asked, "...Was it you who saved ?"

Su Wan paused. Then nodded tentatively "Yes."

The old man looked at her as if he were reassessing a person he thought he knew.

Then he lifted a trembling hand and pointed at her.

"You. Co here."

Everyone held their breath. Even Su Yao stiffened near the doorway.

Su Wan stepped closer and Old Master Lu suddenly caught her wrist. His grip was surprisingly strong.

Then he said sothing that made the room explode.

"From today... No one in the Lu family is allowed to bully my granddaughter-in-law."

Silence. Complete silence.

Su Yao’s face turned white. The doctors froze. Even Lu Shaohan’s expression shifted.

Because everyone knew, Old Master Lu never openly protected anyone.

Yet now, he was protecting Su Wan. Publicly.
