As he spoke, the burly bald man raised his right leg in a frenzy, his heavy Dr. Martens cutting through the air as he kicked viciously at the pregnant woman’s fragile belly.

If that kick landed, the baby in her womb was as good as dead. The woman herself might even hemorrhage and die.

The pregnant woman shut her eyes in despair.

And then...

"Bang!"

A heavy, muffled impact rang out.

The crushing pain she expected never ca.

The burly bald man only felt as if his right leg had slamd into an immovable mountain of steel.

The force was so brutal that his leg bone snapped with a sharp crack.

"Aaagh!"

The burly bald man scread and looked up in a rage. But the mont he saw what stood in front of him, every sound jamd in his throat, and his pupils shrank to pinpoints.

At so point, a tall man in a Supersuit and a cape had appeared silently before him.

The man’s right hand was clamped around his ankle, which was still hanging in midair, gripping it like it was nothing more than a toothpick.

"H-H-Holander?!"

The pockmarked man beside him went weak in the knees and dropped to the ground with a thud, foul-slling yellow piss spreading from his crotch and pooling beneath him.

He could not understand it. In this sewer-like slum with no security caras, no dia, and at this ungodly hour, how the hell had Arica’s greatest superhero suddenly dropped out of the sky?

Holander ignored the useless piece of shit who had pissed himself on the ground.

His cold gaze fell on the burly bald man whose ankle he was holding.

Thanks to his Super Sight, Holander imdiately spotted the tattoo exposed by the man’s collar, which had been pulled open by his violent movents.

The tattoo was a full-color portrait of Holander himself.

Below the portrait, the words "Eternal Idol" were inked in English.

By all rights, this man was one of his most fanatical diehard fans.

In the past, if Holander had seen one of his believers, he might have handed him over to the police as a token gesture, just to protect his ridiculous approval ratings.

He might even have thought that since this fan loved him, he was probably a good person.

But right now, looking at this animal wearing human skin, then at the pregnant woman curled up in the corner, shaking with fear, his father’s words surfaced in his mind again.

"You have to let go of that sick obsession with making the entire world love you unconditionally."

"So people will love you because you saved them."

A look of disgust suddenly appeared on Holander’s handso face.

"I finally understand. Father was right. I don’t need everyone’s love."

Holander muttered under his breath, as if speaking to himself, and as if making a declaration to the entire world.

He looked at the tattoo on the burly bald man’s chest with revulsion, his voice ice-cold.

"Especially not love from sewer maggots like you."

"You claim to love , but you tornt a defenseless woman, a weak mother who’s already pregnant?"

Thinking of his own miserable childhood, thinking of how he did not even know who his mother was, and then looking at the two pieces of trash in front of him who had tried to murder an unborn baby, the long-suppressed violence deep in Holander’s eyes finally erupted.

"Love from garbage like you makes fucking sick."

"No! No! Holander, I’m your fan! I campaign for you every day! You can’t..."

The burly bald man begged desperately, trying to use his status as a fan to buy himself one last chance at survival.

But what answered him were two terrifying red beams that looked strong enough to burn straight through the earth’s crust.

"Szzzzzt!"

The two n were given no chance to react.

Holander’s eyes erupted with blazing Heat Vision.

The red light swept through the narrow alley like two unstoppable scythes of death.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two muffled bursts rang out, like waterlons exploding.

The two human scumbags who had been strutting around so arrogantly monts ago did not even have ti to scream before their heads vanished.

Their headless bodies toppled stiffly into a pool of blood, and a sickening burnt stench spread through the air.

The alley fell into a deathly silence.

The pregnant woman who had survived collapsed to the ground, still trembling in shock.

She stared at the back of the man before her, as if she were looking at a god descended from heaven, and tears poured down her face like a broken dam.

"You... you’re Mr. Holander..."

The pregnant woman wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with shaking hands, both arms still wrapped tightly around her belly. Her voice was full of gratitude and awe after narrowly escaping death.

"Thank you. Thank you so much. If it weren’t for you, my baby and I would’ve been completely ruined tonight... You’re... you’re our superhero."

Hearing her thanks behind him, the slight rise and fall of Holander’s chest slowly settled.

He turned around. The red glow in his eyes had faded, leaving behind that clear, deep blue.

He did not put on his usual fake signature smile.

Holander crouched down and placed a hand on her belly.

He simply looked quietly at this ordinary mother, feeling the child in her womb with his hand, and with his heart, feeling hers.

And that gratitude, untouched by any dia stunt, born purely from being saved, real and unfiltered...

Love was mutual.

So this was what it felt like to protect the weak. To protect other people’s children, other people’s mothers.

It seed much better than staring at cold approval rating numbers.

Holander helped the pregnant woman to her feet.

"Love your child well."

After saying that, he shot up from the ground with a whoosh, turning into a blur before disappearing into the vast night.

Only the grateful pregnant woman remained behind.

Holander left in style.

However, this Holander, who had just completed a psychological transformation, had no idea that less than twenty ters from the dead-end alley, behind a third-floor window in a run-down apartnt building, a pair of eyes hidden in the darkness had witnessed everything that had just happened.

Not only that, a dark high-definition cara lens was peering through a gap in the curtains, its crimson recording light flashing.

"Gulp."

The man hiding behind the curtains swallowed hard.

Cold sweat poured down his body, and the hand holding the cara was shaking violently.

But on that sleazy, acne-covered face, extre terror and twisted rage were tangled together.

His na was Thomas, an unemployed shut-in who spent all day hiding in a dark room.

He had been lusting after the pregnant woman who lived alone downstairs for a long ti.
