Chapter 467 - Tianbao returned from overseas looking very distressed. (1)
It was college entrance examination time again and all the parents were waiting at the entrance of the school anxiously. Among them were Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu.
“Don’t worry. Tianbao’s grades are good. Getting into City Nan University should not be a problem,” said Feng Zeyu to Shu Yan in an effort to fort her.
“His grades dropped a lot recently. I don’t know if he can maintain his regular performance.” He thought she didn’t know that he had found himself a little girlfriend since sophomore year in junior high school and he even studied hard to be in the same class as her.
Nanshan was not an ordinary high school and the students there were rich or from prestigious families.
Many went to study abroad after senior high school. Tianbao’s girlfriend for years, too, was from a wealthy family and was sent overseas by her family before the college entrance examination. Tianbao was not himself for quite a while and, naturally, his grades suffered.
“If he really can’t get in, he can go overseas too. He can go to the same country as the girl.” Feng Zeyu didn’t think that it was a big deal. Tianbao could always study abroad.
Shu Yan smiled at him and said, “We will see how it turns out. We can find out what Tianbao’s thoughts are then.”
She might not be the one, but he could still chase after her if he liked her. There was no reason to risk having any regrets later on in life.
When Tianbao came out, the two stopped talking about going abroad or his girlfriend, nor did they ask him how the examination went. They smiled and congratulated him on wrapping up his college entrance examination.
“Dad, Mom, aren’t you going to ask me how my examination went?” asked Tianbao with a smile.
He only learned how important it was to have open-minded parents. They never forced him to pick up any talents or overly emphasized his grades.
“It’s over no matter how well or poorly you’ve performed, so there is no point in asking. Alright, let’s stop worrying so much. If you want to go home and take a nap, go home and take a nap. If you want to go out and have some fun, go out and have some fun. You are almost of age and are an adult now,” said Shu Yan as she patted Tianbao on his shoulder.
“Mom, I want to go take a trip out of the country. Not just me by myself, but with a classmate of mine. I will be going with Liu Sicheng. You know him. We’ve made plans to travel overseas together.”
Shu Yan knew exactly what he was planning just from the look on him. What travelling with Liu Sicheng? He wanted to go visit his little girlfriend. Shu Yan did not call him out on it. Instead, she smiled and said, “Sure, but take your Uncle Hu with you. Overseas is not the same as China. It’s messy outside. I will be worried if just the two of you go.”
“Liu Sicheng’s father is a citizen of Country C. We will practically be going to his turf this time. Nothing will go wrong. I don’t think we will need to bring Uncle Hu with.” He couldn’t do that. If he brought Uncle Hu with, his parents would find everything out. Tianbao was a bit anxious.
Shu Yan gave him a sideway look. Problem was she didn’t know whether he really would be going with Liu Sicheng. What if he went by himself? Of course they would worry as his parents.
“Let them go and have fun on their own.” Feng Zeyu gestured to Shu Yan. “They won’t be able to enjoy themselves with Lao Hu with them.”
“Exactly. Dad knows me best. I’m not my sister. I’m a man and there’s nothing to worry about,” said Tianbao quickly.
Shu Yan saw the gesture from Feng Zeyu and knew that he had other plans in mind, so she decided against saying anything else.
“That works. Wait till you receive your grades and fill out your college choices first then.” The travel time alone would take days. He might as well wait for the grades to e out first.
“You can do that for me.” Tianbao’s mind was already overseas.
Shu Yan gave him a plicated look. Why do they say that boys would stay behind? She felt that her son had already run off with his wife before all of his body hair was fully grown.
