Transmigrated to a Dark Fantasy World of SSS-Rank: King of the Void Chapter 1: The Void Watches You
In a dark place, muffled screams of pain echoed.
Mocking laughter whispered near his ears, accompanied by a storm of twisted, atrocious emotions that clawed at his mind.
He sank into the darkness. He shrank from the noise—and finally, it all stopped.
On a hill covered in long, curling green grass, the sorrowful statue of a young man—gloomy, gray, and made of ash—stared at the sky with a faint smile on his face.
He sat beneath the light of dawn, as if waiting for morning with heartbreaking anticipation.
Suddenly, his hopeful eyes glowed yellow—but the light shifted to purple, and mysterious electricity crackled around him.
The wind swirled mystically at his feet. His dark, ashen skin turned pale and fleshy; black hair sprouted from his scalp.
The statue of ash beca a thin, pale human.
A spectral buzzing rang near his ear. A warm breeze brushed his face as he opened his eyes—but the blinding sunlight struck him down, forcing him to squint in irritation.
"What is this garbage?" Mitsuki Kirishima muttered.
He raised a hand to shield his eyes while adjusting to the light. When he did, he froze.
"What... what the hell?"
He was lying in who-knows-where, a place from which massive stone walls could be seen in the distance—walls that surrounded an imnse kingdom looming on the horizon.
On his left arm, an almost imperceptible black stain trembled.
’Let see if I rember what happened,’ he thought, confused. ’I finished playing LoM, then switched to Battlecraft. When I couldn’t stay awake anymore, I went to bed... but then that weird email ca in. That sponsorship thing. Crimson Souls, I think.’
He thought for a few monts.
’My manager is supposed to handle that stuff, so I assud it was spam. Hm...’
He snapped his fingers when realization struck.
"Wait a second. I know what’s going on."
He crossed his arms and nodded to himself.
As the wind moved his hair, he declared:
"I must have played too much Battlecraft, and now I’m dreaming about it. It’s only a matter of ti before my manager kicks down my bedroom door and wakes up with her legendary German suplex."
Yes. That had to be it.
He remained seated on the grass atop the hill, arms crossed, waiting.
Several minutes passed.
Nothing happened.
He kept a foolish smile plastered on his face as sweat rolled down his forehead.
Finally, he understood the worst possibility.
"What the hell is going on?! Where am I?!" he shouted, jumping to his feet.
He nearly lost it—but cald himself with a deep breath and carefully observed the landscape.
The distant stone walls—gray, cracked, and worn by ti—were intimidating.
The sky was unnaturally clear. The grass beneath his bare feet was suspiciously long.
Everything was...
"It’s real... My feet can feel the grass. My face can feel the wind..."
He was scared. Worried.
He never left his house—he was the best gar in the world and had no ti to socialize. And now he was standing barefoot on a hill in the middle of nowhere.
"I just closed my eyes and ended up here... This can’t be my manager’s prank. Even she has limits. In that case, there’s only one explanation for this predicant."
He clenched his fist. His expression hardened with seriousness.
"I’ve transmigrated to another world."
His face—ruined by dark circles and a sedentary lifestyle—twisted.
"No, that can’t be right. If I really transmigrated, where’s the busty goddess welcoming ? Where are the broken cheat skills or the legendary weapon? And what about this body’s mories?"
He sat down again.
"And most importantly, what’s my purpose in this world? Jumping to the conclusion that I’m in another world is crazy... but there’s no other explanation. Even VR hasn’t co this far."
He closed his eyes, recalling distant mories.
"For now, I’ll assu this is what they call an isekai."
He covered one eye dramatically with his palm, striking an exaggerated ani pose.
"And when it cos to isekai, there’s one thing you can’t skip... Status Window!"
Purple sparks crackled around him.
The anticipated window appeared for a brief mont, and Mitsuki grinned in excitent—
But it instantly vanished.
"What? No way—"
Suddenly, a deep pain shot through his left forearm.
He dropped to his knees, groaning in agony.
After a few seconds, the pain disappeared as abruptly as it had co.
"Damn it. Not even acute appendicitis hurt this much. What is this?"
He looked at his forearm.
Several mysterious tattoos now covered it, displaying information that shifted constantly from one section to another.

"This is..."
Mitsuki Kirishima had seen systems like this countless tis in video gas.
Developers used them to help players track progress and organize stats.
Normally, the skills given at the start of a ga were useful for progression, but this...
"This is garbage!"
His hands trembled.
There was no longer any doubt—he was in another world, and the tattoos on his forearm were his system.
"Insomnia? Sarcasm? Those are skills?!"
He leaned closer to make sure it wasn’t so cruel joke.
"My stats... I’m weak as hell!"
Well, a sedentary shut-in couldn’t exactly complain about being weak when his body looked like a fragile twig.
He whined and kicked at the ground like an elentary school kid. If his worldwide fans saw him like this, he would instantly go viral.
After two seconds—once he ran out of energy to complain—he rembered the MP section of the tattoos.
"If... these are mana points... does that an I can use magic?"
His earlier frustration vanished the mont he saw that number.
He stood up and pointed his hand at the sky.
"If this is real, then I can do it. Fireball!"
Light ignited.
A blazing fla ford before his palm.
His eyes shone with excitent.
The wind spiraled around him. Before he could react, the fireball shot into the sky.
The recoil sent him crashing onto his back.
"No way..."
Boom!
The flas burst softly in the sky before fading away.
"Oh my God. I can use—!"
He stopped mid-sentence.
A violent pain assaulted him. His vision blurred, and what little he had eaten ca back up.
’Why?!’
He lay sprawled on the ground, utterly drained and shattered from within.
The tattoo on his forearm shifted as if alive, displaying several notifications.
[ You have learned "Quick Cast" ]
[ You have learned the spell "Fireball Lv. 1" ]
[ MP: 0 → 1 ]
Dark sparks flickered from the tattoos as the final notification appeared, and a spectral whisper spoke into his ear in words he could not understand.
Then—
[ The Void watches you in silence and applauds your soul. ]
Before he could process the ssage, Mitsuki lost consciousness.
His frail body lay collapsed on the grass.
